NIST maintains a portfolio of more than 1300 standard reference materials (SRM), more than a third of these relating to measurements in the biological and environmental fields. As part of the continuous renewal and replacement efforts, a set of new marine sediments has been recently developed covering organic and inorganic determinations. This paper describes the steps taken in sample preparation, homogeneity assay, and analytical characterization and certification with specific emphasis on SRM 2702 inorganics in marine sediment. Neutron activation analysis showed the SRM to be highly homogeneous, opening the possibility for use with solid sampling techniques. The certificate provides certified mass fraction values for 25 elements, reference values for eight elements, and information values for 11 elements, covering most of the priority pollutants with small uncertainties of only several percent relative. The values were obtained by combining results from different laboratories and techniques using a Bayesian statistical model. An intercomparison carried out in field laboratories with the material before certification illustrates a high commutability of this SRM.Electronic Supplementary Material Supplementary material is available in the online version of this article at  相似文献

The electric conductivity of π‐conjugated and radical‐bearing polymers, i.e., polythiophenes bearing pendant galvinoxyl and phenoxyl radical groups, was measured using a microcomb‐shaped electrode. The electric conductivity was found to be enhanced by the radical content in the polymer. The infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopies suggested a structural change from an aromatic form to a quinoid one in the polythiophene backbone by the phenoxyl radical generation. The effect of the pendant galvinoxyl radical's unpaired electron on the electric conductivity of the polythiophene was discussed by comparing the conductivity of a radical‐bearing polystyrene and a polythiophene mixed with low‐molecular radical molecules. We discuss electron-transfer processes that govern the physics of several materials or systems of interest for advanced applications. The discussion touches upon several topics, ranging from solvatochromism to solvent-induced symmetry breaking, from excitonic to cooperative effects in molecular crystals, from phase transitions to vibrational contributions to the dielectric constant in organic materials, from spectroscopy to molecular transport. The thermodynamic parameters for the interaction of Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Cd2+, andAg+ with the new title ligand have been determined by titration calorimetry in 50% THF–methanol (V/V) at 25 °C.Ag+ exhibited remarkably higher complexation selectivity.Ag+ and several transition metal ions have been transportedusing this ligand as carrier in a bulk liquid membrane. CompetitiveAg+–M2+ transport studies have also beencarried out for the same system. In this membrane transport study, high transport of Ag+ was observed in both single and competitiveAg+–M2+ transport studies. The complexformation of N,N-bis[o-(diphenylphosphino)benzylidene]ethylenediamine (P2N2) with silver,[Ag(P2N2)] (NO3), (1) is reported. Sodium-dicyclohexyl- 18-crown-6 complex cation was used as carrier for the uphill transport of zinc as Zn(SCN)42? complex anion. By using L-cysteine as a metal ion acceptor in the receiving phase at the optimized pH of 7.6, the amount of zinc transport through the liquid membrane after 90 min was 97.2 ± 1.0%. The selectivity and efficiency of zinc transport from aqueous solutions containing equimolar mixtures of Ag+, Cd2+ Co2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Pd2+, Sr2+, Bi3+, Cr3+ and Fe3+ ions was investigated. In the presence of NH2OH.HCl as a suitable masking agent in the source phase, the interfering effect of Cu2+ and Pb2+ ions was diminished drastically.  相似文献

A graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometric procedure for the determination of mercury is presented, in which the samples are suspended in a solution containing hydrofluoric and nitric acids. Silver nitrate (4% m/v) and potassium permanganate (3%) are incorporated, in the order specified, and aliquots are directly introduced into the graphite furnace. A fast heating programme with no conventional pyrolysis step is used. The detection limit for mercury in a 125 mg ml−1 suspension is 0.1 μg g−1. Calibration is performed by using aqueous standards. The reliability of the procedure is proved by analysing certified reference materials.  相似文献

Coexistence Relations, Preparation and Properties of Ternary Compounds in the System Cu/Mo/O The phase diagram of the ternary system Cu/Mo/O is presented at 773 K. The compounds CuMoO4, Cu3Mo2O9, Cu4Mo5O17, Cu6Mo5O18, Cu4–xMo3O12, and CuxMoO3 are found to be thermodynamical stable. The homogeneity range of Cu4–xMo3O12 runs to x = 0.1–0.2. Single crystals of CuMoO4 and Cu3Mo2O9 were grown by chemical transport reactions with TeCl4, Cl2, HCl, and Br2 as transport agent. The results were compared with thermochemical calculations. The decomposition of CuMoO4 and Cu3Mo2O9 was investigated with thermal analysis and decompositon pressure measurements.  相似文献

We report the use of sulfonated polyaniline, SPAN, as a positive charge transporting layer in organic electronic devices, demonstrating that it can be used to significantly improve injection into conjugated polymers. The introduction of an intermediate SPAN layer improves device rectification, even when low-work-function anode materials such as tin oxide are used.  相似文献
