Practical copper (Cu)‐based catalysts for the water–gas shift (WGS) reaction was long believed to expose a large proportion of Cu(110) planes. In this work, as an important first step toward addressing sulfur poisoning of these catalysts, the detailed mechanism for the splitting of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on the open Cu(110) facet has been investigated in the framework of periodic, self‐consistent density functional theory (DFT‐GGA). The microkinetic model based on the first‐principles calculations has also been developed to quantitatively evaluate the two considered decomposition routes for yielding surface atomic sulfur (S*): (1) H2S → H2S* → SH* → S* and (2) 2H2S → 2H2S* → 2SH* → S* + H2S* → S* + H2S. The first pathway proceeding through unimolecular SH* dissociation was identified to be feasible, whereas the second pathway involving bimolecular SH* disproportionation made no contribution to S* formation. The molecular adsorption of H2S is the slowest elementary step of its full decomposition, being related with the large entropy term of the gas‐phase reactant under realistic reaction conditions. A comparison of thermodynamic and kinetic reactivity between the substrate and the close‐packed Cu(111) surface further shows that a loosely packed facet can promote the S* formation from H2S on Cu, thus revealing that the reaction process is structure sensitive. The present DFT and microkinetic modeling results provide a reasonably complete picture for the chemistry of H2S on the Cu(110) surface, which is a necessary basis for the design of new sulfur‐tolerant WGS catalysts. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Abstract

The treatment of 4-(2′-hydroxyaryl)-2-(N,N-dialkylamino)-1,3-dithiolium perchlorates (1a–g) with sodium sulfide nonahydrate in ethanol at room temperature affords the corresponding 1,3-dithiole-2-thiones (2a–g). When these reactions are conducted in boiling ethanol, 2′-hydroxyacetophenones (3a–g) have been obtained in good to excellent yield. A tentative mechanism for the formation of 3a–g shows that this reaction is regioselective, this being established by the presence of hydroxyl group in 2′-position. That has been confirmed in a control experiment, 4-phenyl-2-(piperidin-1-yl)-1,3-dithiolium perchlorate affording a mixture of condensation products of acetophenone and phenylacetaldehyde, under similar reaction conditions.  相似文献

Tenatoprazole (Ulsacare®) is a recently developed antiulcerative drug used for the treatment of both erosive and nonerosive gastroesophageal reflux disease. During the bulk synthesis of tenatoprazole, we have observed four impurities (tenatoprazole N‐oxide, tenatoprazole sulfone N‐oxide, N‐methyl tenatoprazole, and desmethoxy tenatoprazole) and two metabolites (tenatoprazole sulfide and tenatoprazole sulfone). Sb2S3 nanoparticles surface-modified with S-tetradecyl N, N-dihydroxyethyl dithiocarbamate (C14DTC-Sb2S3) have been synthesized via extraction of Sb2S3 colloidal particles from ethylene glycol into toluene in the presence of C14DTC. The obtained products were characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) and Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR), and their tribological behaviors as an additive in liquid paraffin were investigated using a four-ball tribometer. The results show that C14DTC-Sb2S3 nanoparticles can significantly improve the friction reduction, anti-wear, and load-carrying properties of base oils. The preliminary lubrication mechanism was discussed based on the SEM and XPS investigation of the rubbed surfaces.  相似文献

Proteins typically have nanoscale dimensions and multiple binding sites with inorganic ions, which facilitates the templated synthesis of nanoparticles to yield nanoparticle–protein hybrids with tailored functionality, water solubility, and tunable frameworks with well‐defined structure. In this work, we report a protein‐templated synthesis of Mn‐doped ZnS quantum dots (QDs) by exploring bovine serum albumin (BSA) as the template. The obtained Mn‐doped ZnS QDs give phosphorescence emission centered at 590 nm, with a decay time of about 1.9 ms. A dual‐channel sensing system for two different proteins was developed through integration of the optical responses (phosphorescence emission and resonant light scattering (RLS)) of Mn‐doped ZnS QDs and recognition of them by surface BSA phosphorescent sensing of trypsin and RLS sensing of lysozyme. Trypsin can digest BSA and remove BSA from the surface of Mn‐doped ZnS QDs, thus quenching the phosphorescence of QDs, whereas lysozyme can assemble with BSA to lead to aggregation of QDs and enhanced RLS intensity. The detection limits for trypsin and lysozyme were 40 and 3 nM , respectively. The selectivity of the respective channel for trypsin and lysozyme was evaluated with a series of other proteins. Unlike other protein sensors based on nanobioconjugates, the proposed dual‐channel sensor employs only one type of QDs but can detect two different proteins. Further, we found the RLS of QDs can also be useful for studying the BSA–lysozyme binding stoichiometry, which has not been reported in the literature. These successful biosensor applications clearly demonstrate that BSA not only serves as a template for growth of Mn‐doped ZnS QDs, but also impacts the QDs for selective recognition of analyte proteins.  相似文献

硫化铟是一种稳定、低毒性的半导体材料. 本文采用低成本的化学浴沉积方法制备了硫化铟敏化太阳电池, X射线衍射(XRD)、光电子能谱(XPS)和扫描电镜(SEM)结果表明形成了硫化铟敏化的二氧化钛薄膜. 化学浴沉积温度对所得硫化铟敏化薄膜的形貌有显著的影响, 进而影响电池性能. 温度太低时, 化学浴沉积反应速率太低, 只发生少量沉积; 温度太高时, 化学浴沉积反应速率较快, 硫化铟来不及沉积到二氧化钛多孔薄膜内部. 当温度在40℃时, 硫化铟沉积均匀性最好, 薄膜的光吸收性能最佳, 电池的短路电流最大, 另外, 填充因子达到最佳, 为65%, 电池总体光电转换效率为0.32%.  相似文献
