Two methods are proposed, one for the location of saddle points and one for the calculation of steepest-descent paths on multidimensional surfaces. Both methods are based on a constrained simplex optimization technique that avoids the evaluation of gradients or second derivative matrices. Three chemical reactions of increasing structural complexity are studied within the PRDDO SCF approximation. Predicted properties of reaction hypersurfaces are in good overall agreement with those determined by gradient minimization and gradient following algorithms in connection with various ab initio SCF methods. 运用从头计算法,在HF/6-31G^*水平下,全优化计算了7种硝氨四唑衍生物的分子几何和电子结构。结果表明,标题物的四唑环近似为平面构型;2H式中性分子的芳香性大于相应的1H式异构体。5-硝氨-1H四唑分子内氢键使硝氨基与环共面;其余标题物中硝氨基与环垂直。不同水平下的总能量计算表明,标题物中电子相关效应显著;1H式中性分子较2H式的能量高,5-硝氨四唑负离子在三个负离子中最稳定。根据电荷分布阐明了四唑环质子化位置和标题物与金属的配位方式。此外还计算了各标题物的红外光谱及热力学性质。 相似文献

Transformed cells of Escherichia coli expressing recombinant green fluorescent protein (GFPuv) were subjected to two methods of extraction: (1) freezing/thawing/sonication
(FTS) cycles prior to the three-phase partitioning (TPP) method, or (2) directly to TPP extraction. The amount of GFPuv released
by the FTS plus TPP method varied: 374μg/mL (first cycle), 93–442 μg/mL (second cycle), 32–359 μg/mL (third cycle), 18–115
μg/mL (fourth cycle). The GFPuv yields by the second method (TPP only) were, 23–54 μg/mL for the first extract and 33–91 μg/mL
for the second. The FTS plus TPP method released similar amounts of GFPuv to that extracted by TPP; and provided a better
mixture elution through the hydrophobic interaction column: 13–63 μg/mL for FTS plus TPP methods, and 2.5–13 μg/mL for TPP.
The results showed that although selective permeation is a more laborious methodology, it was more efficient for obtaining

The enthalpies of mixing of liquid binary Fe-Ge (1765±5 K) and Fe-Si (1750±5 K) alloys were determined using a high-temperature
isoperibolic calorimeter. The thermodynamic properties of Fe-Ge melts were also studied by electromotive force method in the
temperature range of 1250-1580 K. The comparison of our measurement results with literature data has been performed. The extreme
negative values of integral enthalpy of mixing and alternating-sign deviations from Raoult's low for germanium can be explained
by the influence of binary clusters formation.

Based on the MNDO calculations of the electronic structure of the molecules of acrolein, glyoxal, and butadiene, possible mechanisms of the conjugation in systems containing conjugated C=C and C=O bonds have been analyzed. The flaws in the Reply [1] to our paper [2] have been pointed out. Elber and Karplus (EK) have not disproved our irrefutable global statement that the energy average cannot be minimized which rebuts the theoretical background of EK-type calculations. Another statement of ours has shown that even a curve for which the average energy is locally minimal for all directional perturbations in the sense of classical variational calculus cannot be identical with the reaction path (RP) defined as a steepest descent path (SDP). EK found an error in the early preprint of our theoretical paper [3] and because of this error they qualified our correct variational statement as false for all the SDPs consisting of a straight line each. Mixing global and variational arguments, EK refuted our criticism in a logically incorrect manner. We report the synthesis of La1−xSrxCoO3 nanopowders by solution combustion method using metal nitrates and -alanine (alanine method) or urea (urea method) as fuel. The influence of metal nitrates/organic substance molar ratio and the type of fuel was investigated. The isolated complex precursors were characterized by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), FT-IR spectra and DTA–TG analysis. The La1−xSrxCoO3 (x = 0–0.3) powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy–energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (SEM–EDX), as well as by specific surface area measurements. XRD patterns indicate the formation of single-phase LaCoO3 (rhombohedral) when as-synthesized powders were calcined at 873 K, 3 h in the case of the alanine method and at 1073 K, 3 h for urea-based system. Also, strontium doped lanthanum cobaltites obtained by both methods at 1273 K are single phase with rhombohedral perovskite-like structure as XRD data have proved. SEM investigation of pure and doped lanthanum cobaltites reveal that the samples prepared by both methods have fine particles with tendency of agglomerates formation with different shapes, spongy aspect and high porosity. La1−xSrxCoO3 nanopowders obtained by alanine method have larger specific surface area values than those prepared by urea method. 相似文献

The biodegradabilities of poly(?-caprolactone) (PCL) powders (av. size = 180.7 μm) in controlled compost at 58 °C have been studied using the microbial oxidative degradation analyzer (MODA) based on ISO 14855-2 entitled “Determination of the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of plastic materials under controlled composting conditions - Method by analysis of evolved carbon dioxide - Part 2: Gravimetric measurement of carbon dioxide evolved in a laboratory-scale test”. The biodegradability of the PCL powders was 101.4% in a 56-day test period by the ISO method. The biodegradabilities of PCL powders have been studied using percent modern carbon (pMC) measured by accelerated mass spectrometry (AMS). Trapped CO2 was analyzed by AMS to determine the pMC (sample) using 14C radiocarbon concentration. By using the theory that the pMC (sample) was the sum of pMC (compost) (104.88%) and pMC (PCL) (0%) as the respective ratios in the determined period, CO2 (respiration) was calculated only from one reaction vessel. The biodegradability of PCL powders was 79.9% in a 56-day test period by the AMS method. It was found that respiration activities in the sample vessel including PCL, compost and sea sand were the same as that in the blank vessel including compost and sea sand without PCL during the active biodegradation period (0-33 day) at 58 °C. It was confirmed that respiration activities in the sample vessel were slightly higher than that in the blank vessel after active biodegradation due to the propagation of microorganisms using energy and metabolites by PCL biodegradation during those periods. 相似文献
