We consider a system of hyperbolic nonlinear equations describing the dynamics of interaction between optical and acoustic modes of a complex crystal lattice (without a symmetry center) consisting of two sublattices. This system can be considered a nonlinear generalization of the well-known Born-Huang Kun model to the case of arbitrarily large sublattice displacements. For a suitable choice of parameters, the system reduces to the sine-Gordon equation or to the classical equations of elasticity theory. If we introduce physically natural dissipative forces into the system, then we can prove that a compact attractor exists and that trajectories converge to equilibrium solutions. In the one-dimensional case, we describe the structure of equilibrium solutions completely and obtain asymptotic solutions for the wave propagation.  The micellar aggregation of two fluorocarbon surfactants bearing a polymerizable acrylamido group and differing only in the degree of amido substitution (CONH or CONC2H5) has been investigated by viscometry. The two surfactants exhibit distinct solution properties with a micellar growth occurring at a much lower concentration for the N-monosubstituted sample which shows in addition a shear thickening and rheopectic behavior. The ability of the latter surfactant to form hydrogen bonding is responsible for this difference in behavior. Micellar copolymerization of acrylamide with these surfactants or with a hydrocarbon analogue gives copolymers with a polysoap-like behavior. The copolymers in aqueous solution show a pronounced intramolecular hydrophobic aggregation expressed by relatively low-viscosity values when compared with those of other hydrophobically modified water-soluble polymers reported in the literature. Surfactant–polymer mixed systems do not show a strong incompatibility between fluorocarbon and hydrocarbon moieties. Received: 24 March 1998 Accepted: 30 June 1998  相似文献

The nonverbal vocal utterances of seven normally hearing infants were studied within their first year of life with respect to age- and emotion-related changes. Supported by a multiparametric acoustic analysis it was possible to distinguish one inspiratory and eleven expiratory call types. Most of the call types appeared within the first two months; some emerged in the majority of infants not until the 5th (“laugh”) or 7th month (“babble”). Age-related changes in acoustic structure were found in only 4 call types (“discomfort cry,” “short discomfort cry,” “wail,” “moan”). The acoustic changes were characterized mainly by an increase in harmonic-to-noise ratio and homogeneity of the call, a decrease in frequency range and a downward shift of acoustic energy from higher to lower frequencies. Emotion-related differences were found in the acoustic structure of single call types as well as in the frequency of occurrence of different call types. A change from positive to negative emotional state was accompanied by an increase in call duration, frequency range, and peak frequency (frequency with the highest amplitude within the power spectrum). Negative emotions, in addition, were characterized by a significantly higher rate of “crying,” “hic” and “ingressive vocalizations” than positive emotions, while positive emotions showed a significantly higher rate of “babble,” “laugh,” and “raspberry.”  相似文献

Diffusion length of Ga on the GaAs(0 0 1)-(2×4)β2 is investigated by a newly developed Monte Carlo-based computational method. The new computational method incorporates chemical potential of Ga in the vapor phase and Ga migration potential on the reconstructed surface obtained by ab initio calculations; therefore we can investigate the adsorption, diffusion and desorption kinetics of adsorbate atoms on the surface. The calculated results imply that Ga diffusion length before desorption decreases exponentially with temperature because Ga surface lifetime decreases exponentially. Furthermore, Ga diffusion length L along and [1 1 0] on the GaAs(0 0 1)-(2×4)β2 are estimated to be and L[110]200 nm, respectively, at the incorporation–desorption transition temperature (T860 K).  相似文献

Abstract We analyze mathematical models governing planar flow of chemical reaction from unburnt gasesto burnt gases in certain physical regimes in which diffusive effects such as viscosity and heat conduction aresignificant. These models can be then formulated as the Navier-Stokes equations for exothermically reactingcompressible fluids. We first establish the existence and dynamic behavior, including stability, regularity, andlarge-time behavior, of global discontinuous solutions of large oscillation to the Navier-Stokes equations withconstant adiabatic exponent γ and specific heat C_v. Our approach for the existence and regularity is to combinethe difference approximation techniques with the energy methods, total variation estimates, and weak conver-gence argumeots to deal with large jump discontinuities; and for large-time behavior is an a posteriori argumentdirectly from the weak form of the equations. 为了解大学生对高血压知识的掌握情况和高血压行为危险因素的自我约束能力,通过对大学生高血压患者、高压血高危人员和正常者各80人进行了高血压知识和危险因素的问卷调查。结果发现,相当部分大学生对高血压认识不够,本人行为约束能力不理想,尤其是高血压患者也没有能自觉采纳科学生活方式。因此在健康体育教育中对大学生开展高血压知识教育、提倡科学生活方式刻不容缓。  相似文献

Numerical models have been developed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis program FLUENT V6.02© to investigate the effect of the substrate on the behavior of the plasma flow fields and in-flight particles. Simulations are performed for cases where flat substrates are either present or absent, for the former, the substrate is oriented perpendicularly or inclined to the torch axis. It is shown that although the presence of perpendicular or inclined substrate significantly influences the plasma flow fields at the vicinity of the substrate, the particle behavior remain relatively unaffected. The insignificant effect of the substrate on particle behavior is qualitatively verified by experimental observation using SprayWatch© imaging diagnostics equipment. Images captured by the equipment confirm that the particles travel through the plasma plume with high momentum and show no sudden change in theirtrajectories right before impacting the substrate. Both the numerical and experimental findings show that the freestream model is sufficiently detailed for future work of this nature.  相似文献
