A stochastic model for the HIV epidemic in homosexual populations involving age and race

In this paper, we derive a stochastic model for the HIV epidemic in homosexual populations involving age and race. To account for effects of different mixing patterns, a low risk selection rule is introduced. The model is then formulated in terms of chain multinomial distributions by means of which the means are derived. Some simulation studies by computer indicate clearly that age and race have a significant impact on the HIV epidemic.

基于暴雨内涝天气对公交线路运行影响强弱的三种情形,通过实际调查(RP)和意向调查(SP)的调查结果进行效用模型估计和决策变量的敏感性分析,解析暴雨内涝下公交乘客的出行选择行为机理,得到公交乘客出行选择行为的影响因素(由强至弱)是步行时间、票价、车内时间和车内拥挤程度,以及所选出行方式的主要特点(由强至弱)是零换乘、低票价、中途易更改出行意愿和运行稳定.最后根据上述结果,从调度指挥、对信息服务、交管保障三个方面进行了暴雨内涝天气下公交应急预案的探讨.

Subset selection for the least probable multinomial cell

Summary An inverse sampling procedureR is proposed for selecting a randomsize subset which contains the least probable cell (i.e., the cell with the smallest cell probabilities) from a multinomial distribution withk cells. Type 2-Dirichlet integrals are used (i) to express the probability of a correct selection in terms of integrals with parameters only in the limits of integration, (ii) to prove that the least favorable configuration underR is the so-called slippage configuration withk equal cell probabilities, and (iii) to express exactly the expectation of the total number of observations required and the expectation of the subset size under the procedureR.     

Some properties for probabilistic and multinomial (probabilistic) values on cooperative games

We investigate the conditions for the coefficients of probabilistic and multinomial values of cooperative games necessary and/or sufficient in order to satisfy some properties, including marginal contributions, balanced contributions, desirability relation and null player exclusion property. Moreover, a similar analysis is conducted for transfer property of probabilistic power indices on the domain of simple games.
