of the Paris Académie des Sciences in 1784. I first explain the nature and purpose of the replication method and then apply it to an analysis of Coulomb’s experiments.

A study of ion equilibration in annular regions of ultracold strontium plasmas is reported. Plasmas are formed by photoionizing
laser-cooled atoms with a pulsed dye laser. The experimental probe is spatially-resolved absorption spectroscopy using the
2S1/2-2P1/2 transition of the Sr+ ion. The kinetic energy of the ions is calculated from the Doppler broadening of the spectrum, and it displays clear oscillations
during the first microsecond after plasma formation. The oscillations, which are a characteristic of strong coulomb coupling,

A fast-slow coupled model of the hydro-turbine governing system(HTGS)is established by introducing frequency disturbance in this paper.Based on the proposed model,the performances of two time scales for bursting oscillations in the HTGS are investigated and the effect of periodic excitation of frequency disturbance is analyzed by using the bifurcation diagrams,time waveforms and phase portraits.We find that stability and operational characteristics of the HTGS change with the value of system parameter k_d.Furthermore,the comparative analyses for the effect of the bursting oscillations on the system with different amplitudes of the periodic excitation a are carried out.Meanwhile,we obtain that the relative deviation of the mechanical torque mt rises with the increase of a.These methods and results of the study,combined with the performance of two time scales and the fast-slow coupled engineering model,provide some theoretical bases for investigating interesting physical phenomena of the engineering system. 相似文献

In this paper, we consider the three dimensional Cauchy problem of the compressible micropolar viscous flows. We prove the existence of unique global classical solution for smooth initial data with small initial energy but possibly large oscillations and the initial density may allowed to contain the interior and far field vacuum states. Nonclassical effects in mesoscopic systems have attracted much attention recently. In this paper, it is shown that multiphonon bundle emission can be observed in a strong-coupling cavity optomechanical system. Theoretical analysis shows that when the driving field is adjusted to nth-order sideband excitation, the coupling between the cavity mode and the vibrational mode leads to super-Rabi oscillations, and finally results in an n-phonon bundles emission. Based on the current technology, this process can work in a wide range of parameters. Numerical simulation confirms the validity of the derivation. It is thought that this physical mechanism broadens the applications of cavity optomechanical system in realm of quantum phononics, such as in quantum metrology and phonon laser. 相似文献

Linear and nonlinear ion acoustic waves in the presence of adiabatically heated ions in magnetized electron-positron-ion plasmas
are studied. The Sagdeev potential approach is employed to obtain the energy integral equation in such a mulitcomponent plasma
using fluid theory. It is found that electron density humps are formed in the subsonic region in magnetized electron-positron-ion
plasmas. The amplitude of electron density hump is decreased with the increase of hot ion temperature in electron-positron-ion
plasmas. However, the increase in positron concentration and obliqueness of the wave increases the amplitude of nonlinear
structure. The increase in positron concentration also reduces the width of the nonlinear structure in a magnetized multicomponent
plasma. The numerical solutions in the form of solitary pulses are also presented for different plasma cases. The results
may be applicable to astrophysical plasma situations, where magnetized electron-positron-ion plasma with hot ions can exist. 相似文献

In this Letter the results of theoretical investigations of the chaotic microwave oscillator based on the electron beam with a virtual cathode are presented. Nonlinear non-stationary processes in these electron systems are studied by means of numerical analysis of 2.5D model. It was discovered that the non-uniform external magnetic field value controls the dynamical regime of oscillations in the virtual cathode oscillator. The processes of the chaotization of output microwave radiation are described and interpreted from the point of view of the formation and interaction of electron structures (bunches) in the electron beams. The numerical results have shown that the investigated electron system with virtual cathode could be considered as a promising controlled source of wideband chaotic oscillations in the microwave range. 相似文献
