水资源生态价值观及其哲学内涵的探讨(英文)

本文在对传统的水资源价值观及其伴随的水患问题进行分析的基础上,提出水资源生态价值观,并对这一全新的观念的经济属性及其哲学内涵作了初步探讨。     

PLANE ELASTIC PROBLEMS OF DIFFERENT MEDIA WITH CRACKS ON THE INTERFACE

The equllibrium problem for the infinite elastic plane consisting of two different media with many cracks on the interface is discussed.It is transferred to a boundary value problem for analytic functions and then further reduced to a singular integral equation,the unique solvability and an effective method of solution for which are eatablished.A practical example in applications is illustrated,the solution of which is obtained in closed form.     

Asymptotic behavior of continuous stochastic games

Summary The aim of this paper is to analyze the asymptotic behavior of the value functions of a continuous stochastic game as the number of stages grows to infinity or the discount factor approaches 1. After the setup of the problem we prove that, in both cases, the extrema of the value functions converge to the same limits. The convergence of the value functions is then obtained from the unicity of the solution of a functional problem and it is thus possible to design hypotheses that assure the convergence to a constant. This allows to assign a value to an undiscounted infinite-stage stochastic game in several senses and to show that optimal strategies are available for both players. Furthermore the boundedness of the remainders of the value function after removing the principal terms is analyzed, with appropriate hypotheses, and related to the existence of solutions of a Howard's type functional equation. This allows to show that for an infinite-stage undiscounted stochastic game optimal stationary strategies exist at least if this functional equation has some solution.     

A numerical technique for three-dimensional compressible boundary layers

The non-linear two-point boundary value problem for three-dimensional compressible boundary layers is solved through the application of a boundary value technique for a range of parameters characterizing the nature of stagnation point flows. The analytical boundary conditions, at infinity, are applied at the edge of the computational mesh with iterations on the size of the domain. The solutions obtained show excellent agreement with the established similarity solutions for three-dimensional flows. The present method has the potential advantage of yielding the wall values of f″_w, g″_w and θ′_w as a part of the solution, contrary to the previously used ‘shooting’ methods. The algorithm is computationally simple and numerically stable and extremely suitable for engineering design applications.

Holding costs under push or pull conditions - The impact of the Anchor Point

Holding costs are traditionally determined from the investment in physical stock during a cycle. An alternative approach instead derives holding costs from Net Present Value (NPV) functions. It is known that applying both frameworks to the same system can lead to different holding cost valuations, but little explanation has been offered. By introducing the Anchor Point in a model, this paper shows, for four different systems, that traditional holding cost models (implicitly) assume pull conditions, while current NPV approaches model push conditions. This explains in part the differences between the methods. It is shown that the Anchor Point concept allows the construction of NPV models under pull conditions, giving results in better correspondence with traditional models. The traditional framework is restricted to pull conditions and important considerations could be easily overlooked, leading to wrong valuations of holding costs. NPV seems superior as such considerations are automatically incorporated. The application to multi-echelon inventory systems provides interesting insights on the roles of echelon stocks and lead-times, and offers potential for future research.     

Robust Optimal Stopping-Time Control for Nonlinear Systems

Abstract. We formulate a robust optimal stopping-time problem for a state-space system and give the connection between various notions of lower value function for the associated games (and storage function for the associated dissipative system) with solutions of the appropriate variational inequality (VI) (the analogue of the Hamilton—Jacobi—Bellman—Isaacs equation for this setting). We show that the stopping-time rule can be obtained by solving the VI in the viscosity sense and a positive definite supersolution of the VI can be used for stability analysis.
