Net Promoter Score, touted as the “single customer metric you need” and calculated from customers' answer to one simple question about their loyalty, has been in use since 2003 and adopted in a wide variety of settings. However, it has not lived up to its claimed benefits. This article evaluates the NPS approach in terms of its positive and negative results. This article is for people interested in NPS, still considering implementing NPS in their company, or interested in its technical underpinnings. It points out the benefits and shortcomings and explains why, and it describes what can be done to achieve the outcomes NPS theory claimed it would produce, but has not. The article is written in two parts for quite distinct audiences: firstly, for executives and managers who need customer data and information to make marketing decisions; and secondly, for market researchers, statisticians, and business analysts who are responsible for capturing and providing reliable, understandable, and meaningful customer data to the executives and managers who need the information. Consequently, the two sections are written in two different styles. The first section takes the form of a summary for managers and executives of our findings and recommendations in language aimed at business leaders; the second section provides a detailed analysis and critical review of NPS for market researchers, statisticians, and business analysts. Both sections present a better solution than NPS for understanding what customers value, delivering the best value to customers, winning market share, and creating truly loyal customers.  相似文献

A nonassociative quaternion algebra over a field F is a 4-dimensional F-algebra A whose nucleus is a separable quadratic extension field of F. We define the notion of a valuation ring for A, and we also define a value function on A with values from a totally ordered group. We determine the structure of the set on which the function assumes non-negative values and we prove that, given a valuation ring of A, there is a value function associated to it if and only if the valuation ring is integral and invariant under proper F-automorphisms of A.  相似文献

The paper considers a class of real integrals performed by using a convenient integral in the complex plane. A complex integral containing a multi-valued function with two branch points is transformed into another integral containing a pole and a unique branch point. Asymptotic results are obtained for several conditional measures of association. The chosen random variables are the first two order statistics and the total sum within a random sum. Many of the results have confirmed the “one-jump” property of the risk model. Non-trivial limits are obtained when the dependence among the first two order statistics is considered. Our results help in understanding the extreme behaviour of well-known reinsurance treaties that involve only few large claims. Interestingly, the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient between the first two order statistics provides an alternative procedure to estimate the tail index of the underlying distribution.  相似文献

The present work studies the design of an optimal insurance policy from the perspective of an insured, where the insurable loss is mutually exclusive from another loss that is denied in the insurance coverage. To reduce ex post moral hazard, we assume that both the insured and the insurer would pay more for a larger realization of the insurable loss. When the insurance premium principle preserves the convex order, we show that any admissible insurance contract is suboptimal to a two-layer insurance policy under the criterion of minimizing the insured’s total risk exposure quantified by value at risk, tail value at risk or an expectile. The form of optimal insurance can be further simplified to be one-layer by imposing an additional weak condition on the premium principle. Finally, we use Wang’s premium principle and the expected value premium principle to illustrate the applicability of our results, and find that optimal insurance solutions are affected not only by the size of the excluded loss but also by the risk measure chosen to quantify the insured’s risk exposure.  相似文献

在现况调查的基础上,随机抽样采集重庆市8家麻辣火锅和8家鱼火锅锅底油样品,在不同加热时间(0、60、120min)和加热温度(100、120、150℃)条件下,分别采用滴定法、紫外分光光度法、气相色谱法测定其酸价、羰基价、反式油酸含量.结果显示随着加热时间的延长和加热温度的升高,酸价和反式油酸含量逐渐升高(P<0.05),羰基价无明显变化(P>0.05).在相同的加热时间和加热温度下,麻辣火锅锅底油的酸价和反式油酸含量明显高于鱼火锅(P<0.05),羰基价无明显变化(P>0.05).表明重庆火锅锅底油对人们的身体健康存在潜在危害.  相似文献
