Quark-hadron duality in electron-pion scattering

We explore the relationship between exclusive and inclusive electromagnetic scattering from the pion, focusing on the transition region at intermediate Q². Combining Drell-Yan data on the leading twist quark distribution in the pion with a model for the resonance region at large x, we calculate QCD moments of the pion structure function over a range of Q², and quantify the role of higher twist corrections. Using a parameterization of the pion elastic form factor and phenomenological models for the π↦ρ transition form factor, we further test the extent to which local duality may be valid for the pion. Closed queueing networks with batch services

In this paper we study queueing networks which allow multiple changes at a given time. The model has a natural application to discrete-time queueing networks but describes also queueing networks in continuous time. It is shown that product-form results which are known to hold when there are single changes at a given instant remain valid when multiple changes are allowed.     

On the identification of Wiener-Hopf factors

This note is concerned with the identification of the Wiener-Hopf factors of a function 1–f, wheref generates an aperiodic distribution on the integers with a negative mean. The general and rational cases are addressed. We give a concise summary of the main practical facts needed for calculations involving the Wiener-Hopf factors. The basic facts are cited from the literature, but a few aspects are briefly proven here.Supported by the European grant BRA-QMIPS of CEC DG XIII.     

A note on the Le Verrier-Fadeev's method

We give an alternative formulation of Le Verrier-Fadeev's method in terms of the Weierstrass root-finding method. Some computational aspects are discussed.This paper is partially supported by the Bulgarian Ministry of Science and Education, Contract MM-515/95.     

Formal and analytic linearizability of families of conformal map germs (ℂ, 0) → (ℂ, 0)

We consider a nondegenerate one-parameter family of germs of conformal maps of (?, 0) into (?, 0). We prove that such a family is analytically linearizable whenever it is formally linearizable. In this case, the linearizing coordinate change analytically depends on the parameter.     

CM newforms with rational coefficients

We classify newforms with rational Fourier coefficients and complex multiplication for fixed weight up to twisting. Under the extended Riemann hypothesis for odd real Dirichlet characters, these newforms are finite in number. We produce tables for weights 3 and 4, where finiteness holds unconditionally. 动画艺术中的物质材料与动画的艺术形式有着密不可分的联系。动画材料既是动画作品的物质基础,又是动画作品的艺术形式表现。因此说,材料就是形式。以往动画艺术家已经对动画材料的形式做了各种各样的探索。随着科学技术的快速发展,势必会开拓出更新的各种动画材料形式。
