An effective capillary electrophoretic technique for separating samples of negatively charged, polydisperse, water-soluble gold monolayer-protected cluster (Au MPC) protected by monolayers of N-acetyl-L-cysteine has been developed. The separation mechanisms of the Au MPC in CZE suggest that the larger core sizes Au MPC emerge first from the capillary. The electrophoretic separation depends on pH, buffer concentration, and organic modifiers. The addition of aliphatic alcohols to the run buffer can improve the separation of Au MPC by reducing the EOF and changing the selectivity between the Au MPCs. The enhancement of resolution is attributed to the more significant difference in the charge-to-size ratio between the Au MPCs. The run buffer containing 20 v/v % ethanol provides the best separation for water-soluble Au MPC. Our proposed CE method provides a powerful tool to evaluate and separate the water-soluble Au MPC products.  相似文献

This study reports simple and convenient procedures for the preparation of a novel surface modifier for multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) having uniform and controlled structure through controlled “living” free-radical polymerization technique. The technique afforded pyrene functionalized polystyrene block copolymers (PMAS) having controlled molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and length of each block for effective surface modification of CNTs. The modified CNTs exhibited much improved and stable dispersion in toluene. PMAS-CNT/polystyrene composites afforded clearer and more homogeneous films compared to those containing non-modified CNTs. The polystyrene films containing 2 wt% and 5 wt% of PMAS-CNTs showed improved AC conductivities of approximately 10−3 and 10−2 S/cm, respectively, which were 10 ∼ 106 times higher than those of films containing non-modified CNTs. These results demonstrated that PMAS effectively modified the surface of CNTs, which resulted in improved dispersion of CNTs in polystyrene matrices.  相似文献

To prevent accumulation of misfolded proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum, chaperones perform quality control on newly translated proteins and redirect misfolded proteins to the cytosol for degradation by the ubiquitin-proteasome system. This pathway is called ER-associated protein degradation (ERAD). The human cytomegalovirus protein US2 induces accelerated ERAD of HLA class I molecules to prevent immune recognition of infected cells by CD8+ T cells. Using US2-mediated HLA-I degradation as a model for ERAD, we performed a genome-wide CRISPR/Cas9 library screen to identify novel cellular factors associated with ERAD. Besides the identification of known players such as TRC8, p97, and UBE2G2, the ubiquitin-fold modifier1 (UFM1) pathway was found to affect degradation of HLA-I. UFMylation is a post-translational modification resembling ubiquitination. Whereas we observe ubiquitination of HLA-I, no UFMylation was detected on HLA-I or several other proteins involved in degradation of HLA-I, suggesting that the UFM1 pathway impacts ERAD in a different manner than ubiquitin. Interference with the UFM1 pathway seems to specifically inhibit the ER-to-cytosol dislocation of HLA-I. In the absence of detectable UFMylation of HLA-I, UFM1 may contribute to US2-mediated HLA-I degradation by misdirecting protein sorting indirectly. Mass spectrometry analysis of US2-expressing cells showed that ribosomal proteins are a major class of proteins undergoing extensive UFMylation; the role of these changes in protein degradation may be indirect and remains to be established.  相似文献

Catalysts containing metal nanotubes were prepared by the adsorption of platinum metal nano‐tubes onto functionalized and modified silica surfaces (MCM‐41 and fumed silica). (3‐Chloropro‐pyl)trimethoxysilane and cinchonidine were used for functionalization and modification, respec‐tively. Potassium chloroplatinate was used as the metal precursor to impregnate platinum metal nanotubes on the pretreated functionalized and modified silica surfaces. The solid catalysts were characterized by ESEM, TEM, EDAX, and XPS. The MCM‐41 supported platinum nanotube catalyst showed>98%to~100%enantioselectivity towards the hydrogenation of a range of pharmaceuti‐cally important chemicals such as methyl pyruvate, ethyl pyruvate, and acetophenone with nearly full conversion.  相似文献

The influence of Lewis base (σ complex) amine-ether and ether-type polar modifiers on the microstructure of polybutadiene obtained by anionic polymerization was studied. Analysis of FT-IR-ATR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectral data for polybutadienes obtained in the presence of the complexing agents showed that increase of concentration of all tested polar modifiers very strongly promoted formation of 1,2 butadiene isomeric structures, especially increasing the content of vinyl–vinyl and vinyl–trans-1,4 diads.  相似文献

采用硬脂酸钠/油酸钠/聚乙二醇6 000复配表面活性剂为改性剂,对氢氧化镁进行改性研究.通过改性前后氢氧化镁粉体的吸油值及其在液体石蜡中的吸光度等性能来评价氢氧化镁的改性效果,从而确定最佳改性条件,同时采用红外谱图研究了表面改性分子与氢氧化镁表面的作用机理.正交实验结果表明,在表面改性剂的质量分数为9%,硬脂酸钠/油酸钠/聚乙二醇6 000的配料比为2:2:1(质量比),改性温度为60℃,改性时间为100 min条件下制备的产品性能优良,在石蜡中分散性良好,红外光谱显示表面改性剂分子在氢氧化镁表面发生化学吸附.  相似文献
