A method was developed for the determination of As, Cd, Pb and Tl by electrothermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma
mass spectrometry (ETV-ICP-MS) with slurry sample introduction using certified reference coal samples. The 75As, 111Cd, 208Pb and 205Tl isotopes were monitored, considering the lower probabilities of these isotopes in suffering interferences. The carrier
and modifier effect of Ru added in solution was evaluated, demonstrating that sensitivity for all elements is considerably
improved by the addition of 15 μg of Ru to each individual measurement. This confirms its ability to act as a physical carrier
particularly for the analytes in aqueous solution. Pyrolysis and vaporization temperatures of 500 and 2500 °C, respectively,
were selected after optimization for aqueous solutions and for coal slurries. Similarly, the carrier gas flow rate was optimized
as 1.1 L min−1. After optimization of the operational parameters, the determination of the four elements in six certified reference coal
samples was carried out by external calibration against aqueous standards in 5% v/v HNO3, resulting in good agreement between the certified or given values and the determined ones. For Tl, due to the absence of
certified values, a comparison was established considering previously published data using solid sampling high-resolution
continuum source graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Detection limits (μg g−1) of 0.1, 0.004, 0.045 and 0.001 were achieved for As, Cd, Pb and Tl, respectively, and the precision was typically better

The effect of an ultrahigh rubber acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) impact modifier resin (UHR-ABS) on the mechanical properties of an intumescent flame-retardant ABS composite was characterized. Samples were obtained by compounding ABS and an intumescent flame-retardant master batch that was prepared using an intumescent flame-retardant composite (IFRC) with ABS and/or UHR-ABS as well as by direct compounding IFRC, UHR-ABS, and ABS. The incorporation of UHR-ABS resulted in reduction in the storage modulus, damping behavior and glass transition temperature, as evidenced by dynamic mechanical analysis. With increasing mass fraction of the UHR-ABS, the tensile strength and the flexural strength decreased gradually, and the notched impact strength increased, but the increase was more significant for compounding IFRC, UHR-ABS, and ABS than for compounding ABS and IFRC master batches. SEM micrographs of the fresh fracture surface of the composites were used to estimate the mechanism of the increased notched impact strength owing to the incorporation of UHR-ABS. 相似文献

In order to prevent the properties, especially transparency, color and health security, of PET/clay nanocomposites from being deteriorated due to the thermal degradation of clay organo‐modifer, we had directly modified sodium montmorillonite (Na+‐MMT) with PET's monomer, bis (hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET) which had a degradation temperature higher than 400°C, and successfully prepared the hybrids via in situ polymerization. Nanodispersion of clay and the intercalated morphology were determined, and compared with PET/Na+‐MMT hybirds in which Na+‐MMT was directly added without any treatment. Improved mechanical properties and Tg were observed for the prepared PET/ BHET‐modified clay composites. More importantly, the film produced from the composites had the same transparency as that of pure PET even when 2 wt% of clay was added. Non‐isothermal and isothermal crystallization experiments showed a very good neculation capability of the nano‐dispersed clay, particularly at higher crystallization temperatures. Based on gaseous compound introduction as pyrrolidinecarbodithioate chelates of Cr, Co, Mn and Ni by electrothermal vaporization (ETV) in inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), a novel method for the determination of trace Cr, Co, Mn and Ni was developed. It was found that in the presence of ammonium pyrrolidinecarbodithioate (APDC) the trace amounts of analytes were vaporized at a low temperature of 1500 °C. The main factors affecting the formation and vaporization of analytes chelates were investigated in detail. Thermal gravimetric analysis of Cr-APDC, Co-APDC, Mn-APDC and Ni-APDC chelates and UV-vis analysis of the sample vapor collected in CHCl3 after vaporization of their chelates indicated that the analytes were vaporized and transported into ICP as their chelates. Under the optimized conditions, the limits of detection (LOD) (3σ) and the relative standard deviations (R.S.D.) of Cr, Co, Mn and Ni were 0.36, 0.19, 0.073 and 0.32 ng, and 3.9, 4.9, 3.8 and 3.3% (c = 0.5 μg ml−1, n = 7), respectively. By combination with a solvent extraction step, the proposed method had been successfully applied to analysis of Cr, Co, Mn and Ni in the artificial seawater. To evaluate the accuracy of the developed method, two certified reference materials (human hair GBW 09101 and poplar leaves GBW 07604) were also analyzed, and the determined values obtained were in good agreement with the certified values. 相似文献

Micellar liquid chromatography (MLC) uses surfactant solutions as mobile phases with added organic additives to enhance both the elution strength and the chromatographic efficiency. Two aliphatic carboxylic acids (1-butanoic and 1-pentanoic) were used as MLC additives and compared with the two corresponding alcohols (1-butanol, 1-pentanol) in terms of elution strength, efficiency and selectivity. A set of 11 phenol derivatives was used as probe compounds. All micellar mobile phases were prepared with sodium dodecylsulfate (SDS) with concentration ranging from 0.05 to 0.15 M and the modifier content within 1.0 and 5.0% (v/v). The elution strength of different mobile phases containing a constant amount of SDS and different amounts of modifiers; and mobile phases containing a constant amount of modifier and different SDS concentration were determined and discussed. The effect of the acid modifiers on efficiency was studied constructing van Deemter plots that showed no minimum within the 0.01–0.7 mL/min flow rate range studied. Temperature effects were also studied constructing the classical van’t Hoff plots. The slight curvature of the plots in the 25–70 °C range may indicate some modification of the surfactant-bonded moiety layer on the stationary phase surface. Since no definitive advantage of the use of aliphatic acids were established compared to their alcohol counterpart, their terrible smell will probably preclude their use as MLC organic modifiers. 相似文献
