Regressions for sums of squares of spacings

Starting with a new formula for the regression of sum of squares of spacings (SSS) with respect to the maximum we present a characterization of a family of beta type mixtures in terms of the constancy of regression of normalized SSS of order statistics. Related characterization for records describes a family of minima of independent Weibull distributions.     

Reassessment of pH reference values with improved methodology for the evaluation of ionic strength

The conflict between pH as empirical number in routine control and the pH value regarded as conveying some information concerning the effective concentration or activity of hydrogen ions, a_H, has caused much confusion.There are, however, reasons to conclude that the overwhelming amount of thermodynamic data is not sufficiently accurate—either due to ignorance of metrological concepts or due to insufficiently specified measurement processes of fundamental chemical quantities pH.The commonly used seven reference buffer solutions to which primary pH values have been conventional assigned, represent a selection out of a more extensive list, recommended by NBS (now NIST) in 1962. From then onwards conventions concerning the Debye-Hückel model of electrolyte solutions and ionic strength have been revised and the pH(S) values reassessed in conformity but only for these seven reference buffer solutions. The others have, so far remained unchanged, locking harmonisation of the conventionally assigned pH(S) values.In this work, ionic strength is calculated through complete equations derived from the acidity constants. Concentrations of the various species involved in the conventional assignment of pH and their corresponding activity coefficients are therefore, more rigorously known. The process proves particularly useful for poliprotic acids with overlapping acidity constants, where the ratio is less than 10³.As a consequence, conventionally assigned pH values of reference buffer solutions are recalculated and corrections are introduced as appropriate.     

Effect of gamma radiation on fluoropolymers

A series of fluoropolymer films were synthesized by reacting several bisphenol monomers with 1,3‐bis(1,1,1,3,3,3‐hexafluoro‐2‐pentafluorophenyl methoxy‐2‐propyl)benzene via a nucleophilic aromatic substitution to form polyethers. The bisphenols used included two diphenol‐substituted spirodilactams (SDL; aliphatic and aromatic), biphenol, bisphenol A, bisphenol AF, bisphenol O, and bisphenol F to form seven different polymers. Polymers were irradiated by a Gamma beam 651‐PT at a dose rate of 10.5 kGy/h; the absorbed dose in each film was varied between 300 and 1000 kGy. The effect on the chemical structure upon radiation was studied by DSC, TGA, FTIR‐ATR, and NMR after and before irradiation. Thermal analysis showed a lessened thermal stability and a lower T_g after irradiation. Further, irradiation caused a decrease in molecular weight as a result of cleavage of sp³ bonds. These data allowed calculation of the radiochemical yield scission (G_s) for each of these polymers. The SDL aromatic system proved the most radiation‐resistant. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 测量相位算符在压缩热场态中的压缩效应

利用Bannett和Pegg提出的测量相位算符讨论了压缩热场态中测量相位算符的压缩效应。结果表明测量相位算符在压缩热场态中存在CS类压缩，压缩特性与相干态参数幅角θ、平均光子数n^-和压缩参量r有密切的关系。随着n^-和r的增大，CS类压缩效应逐渐减弱，直至完全消失。另有计算表明测量相位算符在压缩热场态中不存在CN和SN类压缩。     

冬季饮用平衡液对罗曼蛋鸡产蛋性能及血液生化指标的影响

冬季选择４６周龄健康状况良好，体重相近的罗曼蛋鸡，随机分为四组；试验Ｉ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ组和对照组。在基础日粮不变的情况下，第Ｉ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ组分别饮用０．５％、０．１％、０．０５％的平衡液，对照组饮用常水，试验期３５天。结果表明：试验组产蛋性能优于对照组，其中，第Ⅲ组的产蛋率与其它各组相比较差异显著，平均每只鸡每月比对照组多收入１．０７元，经济效益可观；饮用平衡液对产蛋鸡的体液内环境有不同程度的改善，可间接提高其抗应激能力。     

整函数的公共值与奇异方向

设f(z)是复平面上的超越整函数，本文在f(z)的级满足一定限制下证明了复平面上存在一条从原点出发的射线OR，使得以OR为分角线的任意小角域内f(z)与其导函数f(z)至多只有一个IM公共值。     

Shannon entropy and Fisher information for screened Kratzer potential

In this paper, Shannon entropy and Fisher information is studied for the screened Kratzer potential model and compared with the screened Coulomb in three dimensions. Our results showed similar higher-order characteristic behavior for position and momentum space. Our numerical results showed that increases in the accuracy of predicting particle location occurred in the position space. Our result shows that the sum of the position and momentum entropies satisfies the lower-bound Berkner, Bialynicki-Birula, and Mycieslki inequality. The Stam-Cramer-Rao inequalities relation for Fisher information and the expectation values were also satisfied for the different eigenstates.     

On the multiple values and uniqueness of algebroid functions on annuli

In this paper, we discuss the influence of multiple values and Valiron deficiencies on the uniqueness problem of algebroid functions on annuli, we get the several uniqueness theorems of algebroid functions on annuli, and also we extend the Nevanlinna value distribution theory for algebroid functions on annuli.

设F为区域D内的一个全纯函数族，k（≥2）是一正整数，λ和μ是两个非零的常数．若对于任意的f∈F，当f（z）-λz＋μ，z∈D时，有f^（k）（z）=λz＋μ，且f与f＇CM：λz＋μ，则F在D上是正规的．
