一类非牛顿渗流方程爆破界的估计

本文利用拟线性常微分方程解的非存在性定理得到了一类拟线性反应扩散方程(非牛顿渗流方程)爆破界的估计,从而推广了半线性反应扩散方程(牛顿渗流方程)相应结果.     

Blow Up of Solutions to Semilinear Wave Equations with Critical Exponent in High Dimensions

In this paper, the author considers the Cauchy problem for semilinear wave equations with critical exponent in n≥4 space dimensions. Under some positivity conditions on the initial data, it is proved that there can be no global solutions no matter how small the initial data are.

Asymptotic analysis and estimates of blow‐up time for the radial symmetric semilinear heat equation in the open‐spectrum case

We estimate the blow‐up time for the reaction diffusion equation u_t=Δu+ λf(u), for the radial symmetric case, where f is a positive, increasing and convex function growing fast enough at infinity. Here λ>λ^*, where λ^* is the ‘extremal’ (critical) value for λ, such that there exists an ‘extremal’ weak but not a classical steady‐state solution at λ=λ^* with ∥w(?, λ)∥_∞→∞ as 0<λ→λ^*?. Estimates of the blow‐up time are obtained by using comparison methods. Also an asymptotic analysis is applied when f(s)=e^s, for λ?λ^*?1, regarding the form of the solution during blow‐up and an asymptotic estimate of blow‐up time is obtained. This article provides an introduction to A. Bak's theory of group-valued functors on categories with structure and dimension and applies this theory to the algebraic K-theory functors nonstable K ₁ and K ₂.     

Synthesis and characterization of model 3‐miktoarm star copolymers of poly(dimethylsiloxane) and poly(2‐vinylpyridine)

3‐Miktoarm star copolymers, 3μ‐D₂V, with two poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and one poly(2‐vinylpyridine) (P2VP) arm, were synthesized by using anionic polymerization–high vacuum techniques and (chloromethylphenylethyl)methyl dichlorosilane, heterofunctional linking agent, with two SiCl groups and one CH₂Cl group. The synthetic strategy involves the selective reaction of the two ? SiCl groups with PDMSOLi living chains, followed by reaction of the remaining chloromethyl group with P2VPLi. Combined molecular characterization results (size exclusion chromatography, membrane osmometry, and ¹H NMR spectroscopy) revealed a high degree of structural and compositional homogeneity. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis and properties of thermosetting polymers from a phosphorous‐containing fatty acid derivative

A new phosphorous‐containing fatty acid diepoxide was obtained from 10‐undecenoyl chloride and 10‐(2′,5′‐dihydroxyphenyl)‐9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide and crosslinked with 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane and bis(m‐aminophenyl)methylphosphine oxide. The properties of the thermosetting materials were evaluated by differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and limiting oxygen index (LOI). Thermal and thermooxidative degradation was studied by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, FTIR, ³¹P magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy. LOI values indicate good flame‐retardant properties that are related to the formation of a protective phosphorous‐rich layer that slowed down the degradation and prevented it from being total. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
