Synthesis,dynamic light scattering,and luminescence properties of copolymers containing iridium(III) bisterpyridine in the side chain

Supramolecular block‐random copolymers containing [Ir(terpy)₂]³⁺ in the side chain were synthesized via postfunctionalization of a P(S‐b‐AC_terpy) block copolymer. Absorbance and emission spectra compared to a model compound show that the polymer backbone has a minor effect on the polymer absorbance but produces a larger shift for the phosphorescence signals to higher wavelength. Dynamic light scattering of the metal complex containing copolymer studied in various solvents showed monomodal aggregation with decreasing aggregate size as the solvent dielectric constant increased. The copolymer precursor P(S‐b‐AC_terpy) shows multimodal aggregation in different solvents with the major population consisting of single chains. This difference in behavior between the two polymers is attributed to the electrolytic nature of the complex and the amphiphilicity induced by the charged metal complex. Supramolecular copolymers like these will continue to have interesting self‐organizational properties and may find applications in multicomponent systems for photoinduced charge separation processes. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. On the excitation of a closely spaced array by a line source

An infinite row of periodically spaced, identical rigid circularcylinders is excited by an acoustic line source which is parallelto the generators of the cylinders. A method for calculatingthe scattered field accurately and efficiently is presented.When the cylinders are sufficiently close together, Rayleigh–Blochsurface waves that propagate energy to infinity along the arrayare excited. An expression is derived which enables the amplitudesof these surface waves to be computed without requiring thesolution to the full scattering problem.     

光电倍增管脉冲性能研究

采用外腔式电光开光,调制主动照相探测光源,使光电倍增管处于脉冲工作状态下,以提高光电倍增管的输出幅度和动态范围,改善信号的信噪比,同时避免样品和探测器受长时间强激光照射.对滨松H6780光电倍增管进行了调试,使其线性输出电流由静态的0.1mA提升到脉冲状态的4.4mA,信噪比提高4.5倍.该技术对其他光敏探测有借鉴意义.

Measuring Light Field of Light Source with High Directional Resolution Using Mirrored Ball and Pinhole Camera

This paper presents a method of measuring a light field of a light source with high directional resolution using a mirrored ball and a pinhole camera. The light field describes a spatial and directional distribution of radiances from the light source. The directional distribution is expanded by a reflection on the mirrored ball, and the radiances are measured by a charge-coupled device (CCD) camera with a pinhole lens. The light source is laterally moved by a robot arm to measure the directionally expanded light field, and each pixel on a CCD can obtain the radiances from the light source through the pinhole lens with high directional resolution. The light field is estimated from the pixel value and the position of each pixel using a ray tracing technique. The light field of a krypton lamp was experimentally measured by the proposed method, and the accuracy of the measurement was evaluated against the irradiances measured by a spectro-radiometer at sample points.     

Optical Glucose Monitoring Based on Femtosecond Two-Color Pulse Interferometry

We demonstrate the potential of femtosecond two-color pulse interferometry for in vitro optical glucose monitoring, by dispersion of the group refractive index in a glucose solution sample with respect to a red-color light and a blue-color light. By comparison with femtosecond one-color pulse interferometry, the basic performance of the present system with regard to sensitivity, quantitativeness, and tolerance to surrounding disturbances, is evaluated. The resulting accuracy and precision of glucose determination are 77 and 118mg/dl for 10-mm-sample-thickness, respectively. This near-common-path configuration of the two-color pulse light provides good stability to fluctuations of sample temperature, which is important in clinical applications. Considering the performance of femtosecond two-color pulse interferometry as an optical glucose sensor, a suitable measurement site for in vivo optical glucose monitoring is discussed.     

Performance Analysis for Mobile Ad Hoc Network in Random Graph Models with Spatial Reuse

In this paper,we present a random graph model with spatial reuse for a mobile ad hoc network(MANET) based on the dynamic source routing protocol.Many important performance parameters of theMANET are obtained,such as the average flooding distance (AFD),the probability generating function of theflooding distance,and the probability of a flooding route to be symmetric.Compared with the random graphmodel without spatial reuse,this model is much more effective because it has a smaller value of AFD and alarger probability for finding a symmetric valid route.     

改善液晶光阀投影光学系统偏振特性的理论设计方法

定量分析了液晶光阀投影光学系统中影响系统对比度的主要因素，利用矢量方法建立三维空间数学模型对光线进行追迹，并利用琼斯矩阵和矢量光学的原理分析了偏振器件--主要是波片--和各种光学薄膜对光学系统性能的影响。给出了在一定假设条件下的对没有波片的光学系统和插入波征后的光学系统的仿真计算结果。两组数据比较表明在光路中插入合适相位差的波片可以显著提高系统对比度等性能。
