We show that subdominant terms obtained using the reggeized gluon diagram technique, which should be added to Pomeron fan diagrams with the triple-Pomeron interaction, can be taken into account exactly if the initial condition for the evolution is chosen in the Glauber form. We consider a chiral one-loop hedgehog soliton of the bosonized SU(2)f Nambu & Jona-Lasinio model which is embedded in a hot medium of constituent quarks. Energy and radius of the soliton are determined in self-consistent mean-field approximation. Quasi-classical corrections to the soliton energy are derived by means of the pushing and cranking approaches. The corresponding inertial parameters are evaluated. It is shown that the inertial mass is equivalent to the total internal energy of the soliton. Corrected nucleon and δ isobar masses are calculated in dependence on temperature and density of the medium. As a result of the self-consistently determined internal structure of the soliton the scaling between constituent quark mass, soliton mass and radius is noticeably disturbed. Prompt gluons are an additional source for charmonium suppression in nuclear collisions, in particular for nucleus-nucleus collisions. These gluons are radiated as bremsstrahlung in N-N collisions and interact inelastically with the charmonium states while the nuclei still overlap. The spectra and mean number <n g> of the prompt gluons are calculated perturbatively and the inelastic cross section σabs Ψg is estimated. The integrated cross sections σ(A B →JX) for p-A and A-B collisions and the dependence on transverse energy for S-U and Pb-Pb can be described quantitatively with some adjustment of one parameter <n gabs Ψg. The general characteristics of the transition from hadronic matter of nucleons, three quark bags, mesons of quark antiquark pairs to quark gluon plasma is discussed. The phenomenological approach essentially guided by the MIT bag model and general thermodynamic criteria of first-order phase transition is elaborated. The more realistic calculations using the QCD lattice renormalization quark are touched upon. Possible signals of quark-gluon plasma are discussed. The central issue of deciphering plasma signals from the signals of hot hadronic matter is discussed in detail. The signals of the quark-gluon plasma, a subject of considerable interest in contemporary literature are focussed only on (i) dileptons (ii) photon photon pairs and (iii)J/Ψ suppression (with special emphasis on CERN experiments). The lingering shadow of “EMC” effect is also mentioned. Relics of the very early universe microseconds after the big bang in today’s universe (∼ 15 billion years later) are discussed. Finally, the outlook of this very exciting field is presented, a purely personal viewpoint, generalized eventually to poetic signals of the creation of the universe.  相似文献

The Geant4 quark level CHIPS (CHiral Invariant Phase Space) model simulates nuclear reactions assuming asymptotic freedom of massless quarks uniformly distributed over invariant phase space. Electro-nuclear reactions are simulated generating low-Q2 equivalent photons. In this paper generalisation of the model for high Q2 is made to describe neutrino-nuclear reactions, where the low-Q2 contribution is suppressed by the W -boson mass. The proposed non-perturbative approximation of structure functions fits high-energy lepto-nucleon reactions with high-Q2 and neutrino-nucleon reactions starting from the threshold.  相似文献

An event generator based on the CHIPS model is implemented in the GEANT4 simulation toolkit. Nuclear fragment production in the process of pion capture on nuclei is used to tune the parameters of the CHIPS model describing clusterization of nucleons in nuclei. The mass spectrum is calculated for those dileptons which are produced in the early phase of a heavy ion collisions via the direct production NN → l+lX and via the Compton process GN → l+lX with prompt gluons radiated in preceding NN interactions. Both mechanisms produce a mass spectrum which decreases steeply with invariant mass of the l+l pair and which is below the CERES data for Pb-Au collisions by about one order of magnitude.
