A recently characterized cytochrome P450 isozyme GcoA activates lignin components through a selective O-demethylation or alternatively an acetal formation reaction. These are important reactions in biotechnology and, because lignin is readily available; it being the main component in plant cell walls. In this work we present a density functional theory study on a large active site model of GcoA to investigate syringol activation by an iron(IV)-oxo heme cation radical oxidant (Compound I) leading to hemiacetal and acetal products. Several substrate-binding positions were tested and full energy landscapes calculated. The study shows that substrate positioning determines the product distributions. Thus, with the phenol group pointing away from the heme, an O-demethylation is predicted, whereas an initial hydrogen-atom abstraction of the weak phenolic O-H group would trigger a pathway leading to ring-closure to form acetal products. Predictions on how to engineer P450 GcoA to get more selective product distributions are given. 相似文献

Density Functional Theory studies of square-planar PtII pincer structures, (4-Z-NCN)PtCl ([4-Z-NCN]−=[4-Z-2,6-(Me2NCH2)2C6H2-N,C,N]−, Z=H, NO2, CF3, CO2H, CHO, Cl, Br, I, F, SMe, SiMe3, tBu, OH, NH2, NMe2), enable characterisation of mesomerism for the pincer-Pt interaction. Relationships between Hammett σp substituent parameters of Z and DFT data obtained from NBO6 and AOMix computation are used to probe the interaction of the 5dyz orbital of platinum with π-orbitals of the arene ring. Analogous computation for 2,6-(Me2CH2)2C6H3Z (Z=H, CF3, CHO, Cl, Br, I, F, SMe, SiMe3, tBu, OH, NH2) and (4-H-NCN)PtZ allows an estimation of the relative substituent effects of “(CH2NMe2)2PtZ” on π-delocalisation in the pincer system. 相似文献

A structurally stable microporous metallic carbon allotrope, poly(spiro[2.2]penta-1,4-diyne) or, for short, spiro-carbon, with I41/amd (D4h) symmetry is predicted by first-principles calculations using density functional theory (DFT). The calculations of electronic, vibrational, and structural properties show that spiro-carbon has lower relative energy than other elusive carbon allotropes such as T-Carbon and 1-diamondyne (Y-Carbon). Its structure can be pictured as a set of trans-cisoid-polyacetylene chains tangled and interconnected together by sp3 carbon atoms. Calculations reveal a metallic electronic structure arising from an “intrinsic doping” of trans-cisoid-polyacetylene chains with sp3 carbon atoms. Possible synthetic routes and various simulated spectra (XRD, NMR, and IR absorption) are provided in order to guide future efforts to synthesize this novel material. 相似文献

A combined spectroscopic and TD-DFT case study was performed, to identify a robust method to calculate the complex near UV/Vis absorption spectra of various amino- vs. nitro-substituted 2,4-diphenylquinolines, which vary strongly under neutral and successively acidic conditions. For this, different DFT functionals were tested for geometry optimization and the TD part to calculate the neutral and different protonated species in a fast screening approach, i. e. using single point calculations in an implicit solvent. Offset-corrected M06HF, hitherto only applied to polymers, was identified as a suitable method to reproduce the absorption spectra in a reasonable fashion for all different substitution pattern and all different protonated species at different pH values; moreover, the method properly predicts the energetic ordering of low-lying n-π* and ππ* transitions, which is decisive for the non-/emissive nature of the different compounds. In all, this might provide a valuable tool for computer-aided design of related classes of compounds. 相似文献

This study sheds light on the removal of humic acid by-products (trimellitic and pyromellitic acids; TMA and PMA, respectively) from aqueous solution using conducting polypyrrole (PPy) as an effective adsorbent. The effects of experimental factors including contact time, solution pH, initial concentration, adsorbent dose, and temperature were systematically investigated. The pseudo-second-order kinetic model provides the best correlation with adsorption experimental data. The equilibrium adsorption was well described by the Langmuir model with maximum mono-layer adsorption capacities of 47.62 and 71.43?mg?g?1 for TMA and PMA, respectively. The analysis of thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic in nature. In addition, we investigated the adsorption mechanism using the density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The TMA and PMA were physisorbed on the PPy surface through the formation of hydrogen bonds between carboxylic groups of adsorbate molecules and the amino group of the adsorbent. Structural and energetic aspects of the ene reaction were investigated using a variety of computational methods incorporating different ways of accounting for electron correlation. Compared to the noncorrelated Hartree-Fock method, opposing trends were observed in the geometry of the transition state when using the Complete Active Space-Self Consistent Field (CASSCF) method versus Møller-Plesset and density functional theory (DFT) methods. A novel oxazoline-functional methacrylate was prepared and employed as comonomer to produce nonaqueous dispersions of oxazoline-functional polymer particles. In nonaqueous free radical dispersion copolymerization of methylmethacrylate in the presence of oxazoline-functional methacrylate, ethyleneglycoldimethacrylate crosslinking agent, AIBN initiator, and polystyrene-block-poly(ethene-alt-propene) dispersing agent, the average polymer particle size, varying between 100 and 500 nm, was controlled by the dispersing agent contents. According to titration with HClO4 all oxazoline groups regardless of their location at particle surface or bulk, were accessible. Glass transition temperature decreased from 120 to 0°C when oxazoline functional methacrylate was increased from 0 to 95 mol %. As imaged by atomic force microscopy incorporation of the new oxazoline-functional methacrylate improved film formation. Surface-functionalized cationic poly(methylstyrene) (PMS) latex particles containing aldehyde and carboxylic acid groups were successfully achieved via an emulsion polymerization of 3(4)-methylstyrene in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, followed by an in-situ oxidation catalyzed by copper chloride and tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BuOOH). Factors such as the type of metal catalyst, oxidant, and their concentration strongly affected the rate of oxidation. Step addition of t-BuOOH resulted in both a higher degree of oxidation and a more uniform distribution of particle size of the functionalized PMS as compared to the batch addition method. The effect of organic solvent was found to be insignificant, and the oxidation could still proceed in its absence. The particle sizes increased significantly during the oxidation but could be controlled by using crosslinked PMS latexes. Finally, the versatility of this oxidation process was demonstrated by oxidation of the polymer with a solid loading as high as 28%. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 甲烷氧化偶联反应(OCM)是天然气直接转化利用的重要途径之一.该反应通过甲烷和氧气在催化剂作用下一步将甲烷直接转化为乙烯等具有高附加值的产品,避免了涉及高能耗过程的合成气间接路径,不仅有可能减少中间副产物的生成,还有可能大大提升整个过程的能源利用效率.因此,研究OCM反应具有十分重要的实际意义.目前氧化镧基催化剂具有良好的催化活性、产物选择性和热稳定性,但在OCM反应中产品收率仍未能达到工业应用的要求,因而近几十年来高效OCM催化剂的研发一直是研究热点.实验发现,锶掺杂氧化镧催化剂具有更为优异的催化性能,主要表现在具有比纯氧化镧催化剂更高的催化活性和产物选择性,但对于锶掺杂的影响机制仍然缺乏系统的理论研究.目前普遍认为,甲烷活化是OCM反应的第一步,也是决速步,这主要是由于C?H键活化需要越过很高的能垒,因此往往需要很高的温度.本文主要采用团簇模型,通过密度泛函理论计算来研究OCM反应中锶掺杂对氧化镧催化剂上甲烷活化性能的影响及其作用原理.本文构建了八种锶掺杂的氧化镧团簇作为该催化剂模型,可分为没有自由基性质的团簇(LaSrO2(OH),La2SrO4,La3SrO5(OH),La5SrO8(OH))和具有自由基性质的团簇(LaSrO3,La2SrO4(OH),La3SrO6,La5SrO9).我们计算了甲烷在这些锶掺杂氧化镧团簇上Sr?O和La?O酸碱对位点以及氧自由基活性位点上的活化机制,以研究锶掺杂对OCM反应活性的影响,并与我们前期计算的纯氧化镧团簇上甲烷活化性能进行了对比.通过计算甲烷在不同锶掺杂氧化镧团簇上的物理和化学吸附能、活化能垒以及甲基自由基的脱附能,发现锶掺杂氧化镧团簇上的甲烷活化在热力学和动力学上都要比纯氧化镧团簇上更为有利.对于具有相同金属原子数目的团簇,甲烷在La?O上活化的能垒大小为:化学计量比的La?Sr?O团簇<非化学计量比的La?Sr?O团簇<化学计量比的La?O团簇;而甲烷在Sr?O上活化的能垒大小依次是:化学计量比的La?Sr?O团簇<非化学计量比的La?Sr?O团簇.给定一个锶掺杂氧化镧团簇,甲烷在不同活化位点上的活化能垒大小通常是:O·<相似文献
