系统功能语法与语篇分析

本文首先讨论了系统功能语法语篇分析的基本理论,包括语言的三大纯理功能及其各自实现的子系统、语篇分析的两个层次以及"语境→语篇→评价("联系语境变量)的分析步骤,并用该模式分析了一个完整的语篇。分析表明用系统功能语法框架对语篇进行分析可以揭示语篇深层含义,可以解释语篇的语义和文体特点。     

Stability of Markovian structure observed in high frequency foreign exchange data

Contrary to the common sense in economics and financial engineering, price fluctuations at very fine level of motion exhibit various evidences against the efficient market hypothesis. We attempt to investigate this issue by studying extensive amount of foreign currency exchange data for over five years at the finest level of resolution. We specifically focus on the proposed stability in binomial conditional probabilities originally found in much smaller examples of financial time series. In order to handle very large data, we have written an efficient program in C that automatically generates those conditional probabilities. It is found that the stability is maintained for extremely large time duration that covers almost the entire period. Based on the length of conditions for which the conditional probabilities are distinguishable each other, we identify the length of memory being less than 3 movements.

当前,美国深陷伊拉克战争泥潭,有人提出美实力地位正发生由盛转衰的变化.通过分析可知美国硬实力仍举世无双,软实力在世界各地仍具有重要影响,而美国创新机制和自我修复能力为美提供巨大的力量来源.在未来较长时间内美国仍将保持一超独霸地位.另一方面,世界各国对美国更加缺乏信任,伊拉克战争大大销蚀美实力等,都构成了美国实力的局限.鉴此,美国不得不加强国际合作,承担相应国际责任,外交政策最终向现实主义回归.     

Algorithms for Finite and Semi-Infinite Min–Max–Min Problems Using Adaptive Smoothing Techniques

We develop two implementable algorithms, the first for the solution of finite and the second for the solution of semi-infinite min-max-min problems. A smoothing technique (together with discretization for the semi-infinite case) is used to construct a sequence of approximating finite min-max problems, which are solved with increasing precision. The smoothing and discretization approximations are initially coarse, but are made progressively finer as the number of iterations is increased. This reduces the potential ill-conditioning due to high smoothing precision parameter values and computational cost due to high levels of discretization. The behavior of the algorithms is illustrated with three semi-infinite numerical examples.     

Qualitative Theory and Identification of Dynamic System with One Degree of Freedom

Dynamic systems described by nonlinear differential equations of the second order are studied. It is assumed that certain preliminary information on the dissipative or elastic characteristics of systems is known. Recent developments in the characterisation of microemulsions

Microemulsions are becoming increasingly complex systems by containing more sophisticated surfactants, polymers, biomolecules, inorganic nanoparticles, etc. The detailed understanding of such more complex systems requires increasingly more refined and comprehensive characterisation. This is typically done by the combination of complementary techniques and is aided by the fact that several experimental methods have been improved (such as electron microscopy) in recent times, new ones have become available (such as fluorescence correlation spectroscopy), and the theoretical understanding of structural data is advancing.
