Polyurea microcapsules about 2.5μm in diameter containing phase change material for thermal energy storage application were synthesized and characterized by interfacial polycondensation method with toluene-2,4-diisocyanate and ethylenediamine as monomers in an emulsion system. Hexadecane was used as a phase change material and OP, which is nonionic surfactant, and used as an emulsifier. The chemical structure and thermal behavior of the microcapsules were investigated by FTIR and thermal analysis respectively. The results show encapsulated hexadecane has a good potential as a solar energy storage material.  相似文献

No adequate thermodynamic definition of non-equilibrated solids is available at present. In this paper a method is suggested for the energetic characterization of solids by estimation of the distribution of the differential molar internal energies — as they appear during the breakdown of sample e.g. by chemical reaction, i.e. the ‘depth distribution of differential energies’ (DDE) of samples. Thermodynamic considerations are presented for approximating this quantity — and experimental possibilities proposed to attain the needed input information by thermoanalytical methods. Application of the suggested procedure is supposed to contribute to the better understanding of structure — energy — reactivity relations in real solids.  相似文献

Ternary aqueous solutions of MgSO4 and K2SO4 have been studied by the hygrometric method at 25°C. The relative humidity of this system is measured at total molalities from 0.35 mol-kg–1 to about saturation for three ionic-strength fractions (y = 0.25, 0.50, and 0.80 of MgSO4. The data allow calculation of water activities and osmotic coefficients. From these measurements, the Pitzer ionic mixing parameters are determined and used to predict the solute activity coefficients in the mixture. The results are used to calculate the excess Gibbs energy at total molalities for ionic-strength fraction y.  相似文献

Thermogalvanic cells(also known as thermo-electrochemical cells) that convert waste heat energy to electricity are a new type of energy conversion device. However, the electron transfer kinetics and mass transfer of redox couples have not been thoroughly studied. Here, the ion reaction and charge transport in thermogalvanic cells are investigated by electrochemical impedance analysis. We first propose the detailed impedance model followed experimental verification on three types of electrode materials. Parameters including kinetic rate constants and ion diffusion coefficients for the electrodes are obtained by fitting the impedance data. Our study shows explicitly that impedance analysis can provide useful information on selecting suitable electrode materials for thermogalvanic cells.  相似文献

This study examines the contribution of electrostatic and polarization to the interaction energy in a variety of molecular complexes. The results obtained from the Kitaura-Morokuma (KM) energy decomposition analysis at the HF/6-31G(d) level indicate that, for intermolecular distances around the equilibrium geometries, the polarization energy can be determined as the addition of the polarization energies of interacting blocks, as the mixed polarization term is typically negligible. Comparison of KM and QM/MM results shows that the electrostatic energy determined in the KM method is underestimated (in absolute value) by QM/MM methods. The reason of such underestimation can be attributed to the simplified representation of treating the interaction between overlapping charge distribution by the interaction of a QM molecule with a set of point charges. Nevertheless, the polarization energies calculated by KM and QM/MM methods are in close agreement. Finally, a consistent, automated strategy to derive charge distributions that include implicitly polarization effects in pairwise, additive force fields is presented. The strategy relies in the simultaneous fitting of electrostatic and polarization energies computed by placing a suitable perturbing particle at selected points around the molecule. The suitability of these charges to describe molecular interactions is discussed.  相似文献

The structures and electronic states of phenyl-capped terthiophene (denoted by P3T) and the ionic species of P3T have been investigated by means of density functional theory (DFT) and direct MO dynamics calculations. P3T is one of the high-performance molecular devices, which has been utilized as a semi-conductor. The calculations indicated that the neutral P3T has a non-planar structure whose the phenyl rings in both ends of thiophene chain are largely deviated from the molecular plane. The cation and anion radicals, dication and dianion were considered as its ionic states. The structure for cation radical of P3T is close to more planar than that of neutral P3T. The structures for anion radical, dication and dianion take a pure planar structure. The first excitation energy of neutral P3T is calculated to be 2.90 eV at the TD-B3LYP/6-31G(d)//B3LYP/6-311+G(d) level, while the P3T cation and anion radicals have lower excitation energies (1.22 and 1.10 eV, respectively). The direct MO dynamics calculation showed that neutral, cation and anion hold near planar structure at 300 K. On the other hand, oligothiophene (n = 5) and its ionic species are strongly deformed from the planar structure, and thiophene rings in both ends of chain rotate rapidly by thermal activation. The mechanism of the electron conductivity in P3T was discussed on the basis of theoretical results.  相似文献

The complexes of piperidine dithiocarbamate, 2-aminopyridine dithiocarbamate and organotin(IV) of the type R3Sn(L1), R2Sn(L1)2, R3Sn(L2), R2Sn(L2)2, [R=C6H5CH2 (benzyl), p-ClC6H4CH2 (p-chlorobenzyl), L 1=sodium piperidine dithiocarbamate and L 2=sodium 2-aminopyridine dithiocarbamate] have been synthesised and characterised by spectral studies (IR, UV, 1H NMR). Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analytical (DTA) studies have beeen carried out for these complexes and from the TG curves, the order and apparent activation energy for the thermal decomposition reactions have been elucidated. The various thermal studies have been correlated with some structural aspects of the complexes concerned. From DTA curves, the heat of reaction has been calculated.  相似文献

Decreasing the energy loss is one of the most feasible ways to improve the efficiencies of organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells. Recent studies have suggested that non-radiative energy loss ( ) is the dominant factor that hinders further improvements in state-of-the-art OPV cells. However, there is no rational molecular design strategy for OPV materials with suppressed . Herein, taking molecular surface electrostatic potential (ESP) as a quantitative parameter, we establish a general relationship between chemical structure and intermolecular interactions. The results reveal that increasing the ESP difference between donor and acceptor will enhance the intermolecular interaction. In the OPV cells, the enhanced intermolecular interaction will increase the charge-transfer (CT) state ratio in its hybridization with the local exciton state to facilitate charge generation, but simultaneously result in a larger . These results suggest that finely tuning the ESP of OPV materials is a feasible method to further improve the efficiencies of OPV cells.  相似文献

The activity and stability of Chromobacterium viscosum lipase (glycerolester hydrolase, EC 3.1.1.3)-catalyzed olive oil hydrolysis in sodium bis (2-ethyl-1-hexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT)/isooctane reverse micelles is increased appreciably when low molecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG 400) is added to the reverse micelles. To understand the effect of PEG 400 on the phase behavior of the reverse micellar system, the phase diagram of AOT/PEG 400/water/isooctane system was studied. The influences of relevant parameters on the catalytic activity in AOT/PEG 400 reverse micelles were investigated and compared with the results in the simple AOT reverse micelles. In the presence of PEG 400, the linear decreasing trend of the lipase activity with AOT concentration, which is observed in the simple AOT reverse micelles, disappeared. Enzyme entrapped in AOT/PEG reverse micelles was very stable, retaining>75% of its initial activity after 60 d, whereas the half-life in simple AOT reverse micelles was 38 d. The kinetics parameter maximum velocity (V max)exhibiting the temperature dependence and the activation energy obtained by Arrhenius plot was suppressed significantly by the addition of PEG 400.  相似文献
