We report a novel rare spin correlation experiment termed ADEQUATE with composite refocusing (CR), which is the 1H‐detected version of 2D INADEQUATE CR. ADEQUATE CR begins with a polarization transfer from protons to the attached carbon, followed by 13C–13C double‐quantum (DQ) preparation. Unlike the ADEQUATE class of experiments, 13C DQ coherence is converted after evolution to single‐quantum single transitions (SQ‐STs) by CR. 13C SQ‐ST is then transferred back to the coupled protons by a coherence order selective reconversion. The present sequence produces partial transition selectivity in the 1H dimension as does 1H Indirect detected 13C Low‐Abundance Single‐transition correlation Spectroscopy (HICLASS), thereby mitigating the reduction in sensitivity enhancement because of the presence of homonuclear proton couplings. However, unlike HICLASS (which is an experiment that involves SQ‐TS evolution), no homonuclear zero quantum mixing is required on the 13C channel in the present experiment. Large, asymmetric atomic relaxations have been shown to play a crucial role in the structure and properties of several point defects in oxide materials. Examples include trapped hole centers in alkaline-earth oxides and E1′ and E4′ oxygen-vacancy centers and peroxy-radical defects in silicon dioxide. Schirmer's “bound small polaron” model, applied in particular to the alkaline-earth oxide defects, and model treatments of the E1′ center in SiO2 by Yip, Griscom and Fowler clearly illustrate the important spectroscopic consequences of such atomic relaxations. In fact, such effects had been incorporated in Lüty's classic model of the Type II FA center in alkali halides. Edwards and Fowler have recently applied MNDO and MINDO/3 quantum-chemistry approaches to the E1′, E4′, and peroxy radical defects in SiO2. These calculations generally corroborate suggested models and bear as well on possible creation mechanisms. Large relaxation effects are likely to be important in many other defects in oxide materials. 相似文献

We present a filter element to observe exclusively the resonances of Asp and Glu residues in several 13C detected experiments, CACO, CBCACO, and CCCO. As in these experiments the carboxylate resonances appear in the directly detected dimension, it is possible to measure their chemical shifts with a high precision. Therefore, the experiments can be of great utility in the accurate determination of the pKa's of these residues. Furthermore, the experiments can be applied in the study of deuterated proteins, where the usual experiments for pKa determination cannot be used. Finally, the good resolution with which the carboxylate spectrum is obtained allows observing the coupling between the carboxyl carbon and the backbone CO in Asp residues, what provides information on their side chain conformation. Summary. In collaboration with Jasco Corporation we have recently developed an FDCD (fluorescence detected circular dichroic) instrument J-465, which eliminates the photoselection artifacts and efficiently collects the emitted light from the sample solution based on the ideal ellipsoidal mirror principle. Using the J-465 we have investigated a variety of fluorophores with/without polarization for exciton-coupled FDCD stereochemical analysis. The following three cases extend the FDCD methodology to new challenging areas beyond the limits of conventional CD: (1) substrates containing C=C double bonds, (2) molecules with sterically hindered hydroxyls, and (3) substrates bearing remote stereogenic centers. The pico- to nano-level FDCD analysis described in this paper leads to promising opportunities for the stereochemical analysis of a wide range of natural products with minuscule amounts of sample available. 相似文献

A Heisenberg model is employed to study the spin fluctuation dynamics on a (001) ferromagnetic surface using a new theoretical
formalism. The solution of the full magnetic problem arising from the absence of magnetic translation symmetry in one dimension
due to the presence of a magnetic surface is presented. The calculations are described using simultaneously a closed form
of the spin-wave Green's function and the matching procedure in the random-phase approximation. Analytic expressions for the
Green's functions are also derived in a low-temperature spin-wave approximation. The theoretical approach determines the bulk
and evanescent spin fluctuation fields in the two dimensional plane normal to the surface. The results are used to calculate
the localised modes of magnons associated with the surface. Numerical examples of the modes are given and they are found to
exhibit various effects due to the interplay between the bulk and surface modes. It is shown that there may be surface spin-waves
that decay in amplitude with distance into the bulk domain. Also the bulk spin fluctuations field as well as the magnons localised
at the surface depend on the nature of the bulk-surface coupling exchange. The unstable surface magnetic configurations are
illustrated and discussed. The results derived from the dynamic correlation functions between a pair of spin operators at
any two sites are employed to evaluate the spin deviation in the ferromagnet due to localised surface modes obtained by the
matching procedure as a function of temperature.

A new magnetometer utilizing a longitudinally detected ESR (LODESR) method was developed. The probe head of the LODESR magnetometer is equipped with a single-turn coil (8 mm in diameter) which has a very wide bandwidth because the reactance of the coil is always smaller than the resistance of the transmission line (50 ohm) at frequencies less than 700 MHz. Thus, an absolute magnetic field could be measured over a wide range (2 to 9 mT) using this magnetometer without changing the probe head. 相似文献

We demonstrate one-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance imaging of the semiconductor GaAs with 170 nm slice separation and resolve two regions of reduced nuclear spin polarization density separated by only 500 nm. This was achieved by force detection of the magnetic resonance, magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM), in combination with optical pumping to increase the nuclear spin polarization. Optical pumping of the GaAs created spin polarization up to 12 times larger than the thermal nuclear spin polarization at 5K and 4T. The experiment was sensitive to sample volumes of 50 microm(3) containing approximately 4 x 10(11)71 Ga/Hz. These results demonstrate the ability of force-detected magnetic resonance to apply magnetic resonance imaging to semiconductor devices and other nanostructures. 相似文献

生产胶粉改性沥青(CRMA)是实现废橡胶资源化利用及减轻环境污染的有效途径。为了研究胶粉在沥青中的物理及化学行为,采用邻苯二甲酸二丁酯(DBP)模拟沥青的轻组分,将胶粉置入DBP中,在175℃下,反应1.5 h后分离胶粉与轻组分,对轻组分进行气相色谱与质谱联用(GC-MS)分析,讨论胶粉与轻组分发生的物理化学作用;对不同条件下制备的胶粉改性沥青分离胶粉后进行红外光谱(IR)和差示扫描量热(DSC)分析,研究橡胶改性沥青中的官能团变化和热力学特性。结果表明,分离胶粉后的DBP中存在19种检出物,除含量最高的DBP外,其余物质均为胶粉浸出物或与轻组分的反应产物,即胶粉在轻组分中发生了复杂的物理化学反应。胶粉沥青样品中的—CH_2和C=C双键等特征官能团吸收峰大幅增强,橡胶分子在沥青中发生断链降解释放出小分子物质溶于沥青组分发挥改性作用;195℃、1.5 h和175℃、3.0 h制备的沥青样品DSC谱线出现了强烈的吸热峰,即处理温度过高或时间过长,可能发生胶粉过度降解、胶粉团聚或沥青老化行为,使胶粉改性沥青的物化状态发生改变,导致性能劣化。从胶粉物化变化的角度,建议制备胶粉改性沥青时,胶粉掺量(质量分数)应在20%左右,处理温度不高于195℃,处理时间不超过1.5 h。 相似文献

The syntheses of seven esters of cholest-5-ene-3beta-carboxylic acid are reported and the melting points, transition temperatures and mesophase morphologies of the esters are compared with those of the isomeric 3beta-cholesterol compounds which have the ester link reversed. For the examples reported, the cholest-5-ene-3beta-carboxlates always have significantly lower melting points, but the differences in clearing temperatures for the two series of esters are usually much less. Several of the new compounds give an increased chiral nematic phase range and an intense selective reflection of light. They therefore represent a novel type of chiral nematic material for use in thermochromic applications. 相似文献
