All possible exact solutions are successfully obtained in terms of 10 sets of distinct eigensolutions for the free in-plane vibration of isotropic rectangular plates. The plates have simply supported condition at two opposite edges and any combination of classical boundary conditions at the other two edges. The exact solutions are validated through both mathematical proof and comparisons with the solutions of differential quadrature method. Some unusual phenomena are revealed in free in-plane vibrations of rectangular plates due to one of the eigenvalues being zero. This work constitutes an improved version of very recent corresponding work by the same authors [Int. J. Mech. Sci., 2009, 51: 246-255]. Both the solution forms and solving procedures in the previous work are substantially simplified. Some new results are also given, which are useful for validation purpose in future. 相似文献

The purpose of this study is to obtain an optimal shape of a body located in an incompressible viscous flow. The optimal shape of the body is defined so as to minimize the fluid forces acting on it by determining the surface coordinates based on the finite element method and the optimal control theory. The performance function, which is used to judge the optimality of a shape, is defined as the square sum of the drag and lift forces. The minimization problem is solved using an adjoint equation method. The gradient in the adjoint equation is affected by the finite element configuration. The use of a finite element mesh whose shape is appropriate for the procedure is important in shape optimization. If the finite element mesh used is not suitable for computations, the exact gradient is not calculated. Therefore, a structured mesh is used for the adjacent area of the body and all finite element meshes are refined using the Delaunay triangulation at each iteration computation. The weighted gradient method is applied as the minimization technique. Using an algorithm in which all nodal coordinates on the surface of the body are employed and starting from a circle as an initial shape, a front‐edged and rear‐round shape is obtained because of the vortices at the back of the body. To overcome this difficulty, we introduced the partial control algorithm, in which some of the nodal coordinates on the surface of the body are updated. From four cases of computational studies, we reveal that the optimal shape has both sharp front and sharp rear edges. All computations are conducted at Reynolds number Re=250. 利用计算机图象处理技术观察血液贮藏对红细胞形态和变形的影响,了解贮藏期间红细胞形态学变化及血液流变学特性.建立红细胞形态图象处理系统,对红细胞面积和周长进行定量测定以此对红细胞形态特征进行描述.结果显示21天的特别法庭贮藏期中,红细胞形态与新鲜血液的情况相比较无显著性变化,35天后的红细胞形态有较显著的改变.红细胞计算机图象分析系统能够快捷检测红细胞形态的变化,血液贮藏期红细胞形态变化可为了解红细胞存活力的情况提供参考. 相似文献

Searching new shape memory polymer and the associating synthesis technology are critical on the development of smart materials. In this paper, a comprehensive study on Poly(hexylene adipate) PHA being the soft segment of shape memory polyurethane (SMPU) was presented. Bulk polymerization method was employed to synthesize the SMPU with different soft segment length (SSL) and hard segment content (HSC). The influences of SSL and HSC on its morphology and thermomechanical property using DSC, DMA, POM, and shape memory behavior were presented here. The results indicate that the thermal properties, dynamic mechanic properties, and crystal morphology of SMPU are influenced significantly by SSL and HSC. And it is found that the shape fixity increases with SSL but decreases with HSC. On the other hand, the shape recovery decreases with both SSL and HSC, and the associated recovery temperature increases either with the increasing SSL or with decreasing HSC. Lastly, it is concluded that in the PHA‐based‐SMPU, the lower limiting value of SSL for polyurethane having shape memory effect is 2000; their response temperature varied with SSL and HSC, changing from 41.0 to 51.9 °C. Stable hard segment crystal are formed at above 30% HSC sample in bulk polymerization, but shape memory behavior can also be observed when its physical crosslink point are formed in the lower HSC PHA‐based‐SMPU. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
