On a problem of Byrnes concerning polynomials with restricted coefficients, II

As in the earlier paper with this title, we consider a question of Byrnes concerning the minimal length of a polynomial with all coefficients in which has a zero of a given order at . In that paper we showed that for all and showed that the extremal polynomials for were those conjectured by Byrnes, but for that rather than . A polynomial with was exhibited for , but it was not shown there that this extremal was unique. Here we show that the extremal is unique. In the previous paper, we showed that is one of the 7 values or . Here we prove that without determining all extremal polynomials. We also make some progress toward determining . As in the previous paper, we use a combination of number theoretic ideas and combinatorial computation. The main point is that if is a primitive th root of unity where is a prime, then the condition that all coefficients of be in , together with the requirement that be divisible by puts severe restrictions on the possible values for the cyclotomic integer .

碳氧比能谱测井中能谱及探测器响应的数值模拟

利用蒙特卡罗中子粒子(MCNP)联合输运程序,对在井几何条件下地层中碳、氧、硅、钙等元素发生非弹性散射产生的伽马射线的测量谱及不同探测器的响应进行了模拟。结果表明,同种尺寸的BGO探测器比NaI(Tl)探测器的探测效率大;在谱处理过程中BGO探测器选择光电峰和第一逃逸峰的和作为特征能窗,而NaI(Tl)探测器以光电峰和第一、第二逃逸峰的和作为特征能窗。探测效率以及伽马光子计数与源距关系的模拟结果显示,长源距探测器晶体几何体积应为短源距探测器晶体体积的8倍左右时,二者才具有相当的测量精度。此模拟结果与实验谱具有较好的一致性,这为碳氧比能谱测井的谱处理奠定了基础。     

A Secure Public-key Image Authentication Plan

Digital watermark can be used for image ownership verification or authentication. In this paper, we propose a new image authentication plan concentrating on its security performance. Digital watermark is first turbo coded, scaled and then processed in wavelet domain. To enhance security level, public key cryptosystem is utilized to replace traditional watermark key. Sinmlation results are finally given by experiment.

相关信道下级连空时编码性能分析与仿真

研究了空间衰落相关信道对空时编码性能的影响，然后给出了一种外码和空时码级连的结构，对输入信号先进行TCM或RS编码，再进行空时编码。在空间衰落条件下这种级连的结构可以同时获得空间增益和时间增益。仿真表明，级连结构性能优于原始的编码结构，但是接收机的复杂度提高了，这是一种以复杂度换取效益的结构，在深度相关衰落时，级连的外码个数越多，性能越好，实际运用中需要在复杂性和效益间进行折衷。     

A Fault Detection Mechanism in Erasure-Code Byzantine Fault-Tolerance Quorum

Fault-tolerance is increasingly significant for large-scale storage systems in which Byzantine failure of storage nodes may happen. Traditional Byzantine Quorum systems that tolerate Byzantine failures by using replication have two main limitations： low space-efficiency and static quorum variables. We propose an Erasure-code Byzantine Fault-tolerance Quorum that can provide high reliability with far lower storage overhead than replication by adopting erasure code as redundancy scheme. Through read/write operations of clients and diagnose operation of supervisor, our Quorum system can detect Byzantine nodes, and dynamically adjust system size and fault threshold. Simulation results show that our method improves performance for the Quorum with relatively small quorums.
