Noise-assisted mound coarsening in epitaxial growth

Two types of mechanisms are proposed for mound coarsening during unstable epitaxial growth: stochastic, due to deposition noise, and deterministic, due to mass currents driven by surface energy differences. Both yield the relation H=(RWL)² between the typical mound height W, mound size L, and the film thickness H. An analysis of simulations and experimental data shows that the parameter R saturates to a value which discriminates sharply between stochastic () and deterministic () coarsening. We derive a scaling relation between the coarsening exponent 1/z and the mound-height exponent which, for a saturated mound slope, yields . Novel pattern formation in the collapse process of floating monolayer at the air-water interface

We have observed a remarkable two-armed spiral in the collapse process of a floating monolayer at the air-water interface by phase contrast microscopy. This demonstrates that the floating monolayer as a form of soft condensed matter reorganizes itself due to a certain kind of macroscopic or collective behavior of molecules as it collapses. This pattern formation is caused by the breakdown of a critical dynamical balance between the deformation of solid domain and the applied surface pressure. The fragility as well as the flexibility of the floating monolayer can be associated with the observed pattern growth. There are also observed interesting, periodically arranged collections of molecules in numerous collapsed regions. Received: 8 July 1997 / Accepted: 4 November 1997

”秘书问题”在最优停时理论的发展中曾起过重要作用 ,实际中的一类问题与”秘书问题”有类似之处 ,但比”秘书问题”更复杂 .本文将经典”秘书问题”进行推广 ,建立了一类比经典”秘书问题”更有实际意义的模型 ,并给出了该类模型的解 .     

高功率激光驱动器中小尺度自聚焦和噪声模型

 建立了一套线性的近似分析方法，研究高功率激光驱动器中强激光传输的小尺度自聚焦效应和相位噪声对光束传输和光束质量的影响，给出了系统噪声强度、B积分值与光束近场调制对比度之间的定量关系。研究表明,为保证输出光束质量，即近场调制对比度小于给定值，系统内的噪声强度必须符合一定的谱分布。     

一种含稀土锰钢的热处理和低温韧性研究

本文研究了加稀土5％Mn钢的热处理、组织和机械性能,探索其部分代替9Ni钢使用于-196℃的可能性,并以同样成分的无稀土钢作为对比,研究稀土在该钢中的作用。     

中国邮路问题的0-1规划解法

在用“奇偶点图上作业法”求解“中国邮路问题”时,需检查图中的每一个回路.当图中回路较多时,检查不便且易出错.针对此,本文建立了求解“中国邮路问题”的0-1规划模型,并给出了算例。     

直接还原的技术进步及其在我国的发展

介绍直接还原的历史发展与现状，根据我国的实际情况阐述了直接还原技术在我国的发展前景，结合议题组过去的研究及最新的实验成果进行分析，并提出一些浅见。     

The Matsumoto-Yor property and the structure of the Wishart distribution

This paper establishes a link between a generalized matrix Matsumoto-Yor (MY) property and the Wishart distribution. This link highlights certain conditional independence properties within blocks of the Wishart and leads to a new characterization of the Wishart distribution similar to the one recently obtained by Geiger and Heckerman but involving independences for only three pairs of block partitionings of the random matrix.In the process, we obtain two other main results. The first one is an extension of the MY independence property to random matrices of different dimensions. The second result is its converse. It extends previous characterizations of the matrix generalized inverse Gaussian and Wishart seen as a couple of distributions.We present two proofs for the generalized MY property. The first proof relies on a new version of Herz's identity for Bessel functions of matrix arguments. The second proof uses a representation of the MY property through the structure of the Wishart.
