The complete integral of the system of partial differential equations governing the equilibrium bending of elastic plates with transverse shear deformation and transverse normal strain is constructed by means of complex variable methods. The process helps to elucidate the physical meaning of certain analytic constraints imposed on the asymptotic behavior of the solutions and shows that in the case of an infinite plate, any analytic solution has finite energy if and only if the bending and twisting moments, the transverse shear force, the displacements in vertical planes, and two other characteristic quantities vanish at infinity. An example is discussed to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

Thin films at the micrometer and submicrometer scales exhibit mechanical properties that are different than those of bulk polycrystals. Industrial application of these materials requires accurate mechanical characterization. Also, a fundamental understanding of the deformation processes at smaller length scales is required to exploit the size and interface effects to develop new and technologically attractive materials. Specimen fabrication, small-scale force and displacement generation, and high resolution in the measurements are generic challenges in microscale and nanoscale mechanical testing. In this paper, we review small-scale materials testing techniques with special focus on the application of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). Small size and high force and displacement resolution make MEMS suitable for small-scale mechanical testing. We discuss the development of tensile and bending testing techniques using MEMS, along with the experimental results on nanoscale aluminum specimens.  相似文献

为研究偏心垂向荷载作用下梯形截面单室箱梁的横向弯矩,对框架分析法计算箱梁横向弯矩的方程进行优化,并在刚性支承法的基础上提出一种更加简单的横向弯矩计算方法;与框架分析法不同,横向弯矩可采用能量变分法求解,建立以箱梁顶板剪力差为未知量的四阶控制微分方程,采用比拟的弹性地基梁解法解出剪力差,得出梯形截面单室箱梁横向弯矩的能量变分法解。对几种箱梁横向弯矩计算方法用两个算例进行验证,结果表明,能量变分法解将箱梁底板上的弯矩误差绝对值由15.41%降到了9.68%;本文方法得出的横向弯矩结果和有限元结果吻合较好,弯矩误差绝对值最大不超过6.01%;本文方法和能量变分法可有效降低箱梁底板上的弯矩误差,计算精度得到提高。  相似文献

An infinite elastic isotropic plate with an elliptical, physically nonlinear inclusion loaded at infinity by uniformly distributed moments is considered. Surface loads are absent. The problem of the stress-strain state of the plate is solved in a closed form. An analysis of buckling/snapping and bending behaviors of magneto-elastic-plastic interaction and coupling for cantilever rectangular soft ferromagnetic plates is presented.Based on the expression of magnetic force from the variational principle of ferromagnetic plates,the buckling and bending theory of thin plates,the Mises yield criterion and the increment theory for plastic deformation,we establish a numerical code to quantitatively simulate the behaviors of the nonlinearly multi-fields coupling problems by the finite element method.Along with the phenom- ena of buckling/snapping and bending,or the characteristic curve of deflection versus magnitude of applied magnetic fields being numerically displayed,the critical loads of buckling/snapping, and the influences of plastic deformation and the width of plate on these critical loads,the plastic regions expanding with the magnitude of applied magnetic field,as well as the evolvement of deflection configuration of the plate are numerically obtained in a case study.  相似文献

The bending problem of a simply supported, angle-ply piezoelectric-laminated cylindrical panel in cylindrical bending with weak interfaces is considered. A general spring-layer model is adopted to describe the weakness of imperfect interfaces. An exact analysis is performed via the state-space approach. A new system of physical variables is introduced and a variable substitution technique is employed to derive a state equation with constant coefficients.
