A polarographic study of some N-containing organic compounds under aquarium conditions

Summary Differential pulse polarography has been used to monitor organic compounds containing various oxidation states of nitrogen in aquarium situations at the trace level. The absorption of two classes of compounds (diazo dyes and aromatic nitro compounds) has been followed in plants and daphnae and it is concluded that if these compounds metabolise to electroactive species they must be stored in the body of the aquarium constituents and are not excreted back into solution.The main body of this paper was presented at a conference in St. Andrews (19th–20th June 1975) entitled The Application of New Techniques in Environmental Analysis, organised by the Scothish Region of the Analytical Division of the Chemical Society.     

一种发红光的电子陷获型红外上转换材料的制备

本文研制的电子陷获（ＥＴ）型红外上转换材料是在改进传统工艺的基础上，使用硫化助熔法，在石英反应管中，基质合成和掺杂一次完成，具有工艺简单、生长周期短、重复性好的优点。由于反应在密闭系统中完成，安全可靠，对实验室环境保护好，用这种方法制备出的红外上转换材料，在室温下用紫外光或可见光激励后，用红外激发时发红光，并测得了其激发光谱（红外）和发射光谱（红光）。

Determination of heavy metals in sea water and in marine organisms by flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometry

Summary This paper presents results of an intercalibration of cadmium determination by means of flameless AAS in biological materials from toxicological experiments. Furthermore, the philosophy of this kind of investigation is discussed in some detail. The goal and the result of this investigation was a correspondence of the measurement results within an acceptable range. Contamination during further handling has been identified as the main reason for severe deviations. The authors made measurements in the labs of several colleagues. The equipment itself did not produce individual variations. Repeated intercomparison after elimination of identified systematic errors showed sufficient correspondence of the results.Teil XII: Fresenius Z. Anal. Chem.301, 294–299 (1980)
