Nanometer-sized W-dendrites are fabricated on Al2O3 substrates with an electron-beam-induced deposition process. Dependence of growth of nanodendrite on surface topography is investigated with transmission electron microscopy. It is confirmed that the nanodendrite grows on convex surfaces but not around a hole on a substrate. These are attributed to different distribution of charges on surfaces with different topographies during electron beam irradiation when charges are produced on the surface due to emission of second electrons. The charges accumulate on convex surface and do not distribute around a hole. Therefore, the nanodendrite grows on the former and not on the latter.  相似文献

Cluster-cluster coalescence process of monodispersed Co clusters with mean diameter d = 8.5 and 13 nm deposited a plasma-gas-condensation-type cluster beam deposition system was investigated by in situ electrical conductivity measurements and ex situ scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and analyzed by percolation concept. The electrical conductivity measurement and TEM observation indicated that, below temperature T≈ 100°C, the Co clusters in the assemblies maintain their original structure as deposited at room temperature, while that the inter-cluster coalescence takes place at T > 100°C, although the size distribution and the interface morphology of the clusters showed no marked change at substrate temperatures T s≤200°C. This work presents the synthesis of novel unsymmetrical bolaamphiphiles bearing a sugar residue and a cationic glycine betaine moiety connected to both ends of a C22 or C32 oligomethylene bridging chain possessing or not a diacetylenic unit. Preliminary transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies revealed the polymorphism of these bola lipids with regard to their self-assembled morphologies in water depending on the presence or not of the diacetylenic functionality and on alkyl chain length.  相似文献

The Coherent Gradient Sensor (CGS) is extended to the optical differentiation of specular, diffracted wave fronts leading to the combined measurement of in- and out-of-plane displacement field gradients. A derivation of the underlying optical interference principles is presented along with an analysis of the effective instrument sensitivity. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of the technique, experimental measurements of crack-tip deformation fields were conducted under various loading conditions corresponding to mode-I, mode-II, and mixed mode near-tip crack fields. The experimental procedures and results of these tests are presented as validation of the technique.  相似文献

Ammonium iron citrate (C6H8O7·nFe·nH3N) was used as a precursor for preparing both iron-oxide thin films and nanoparticles. Thin films of iron oxides were fabricated on silicon (111) substrate using a successive-ionic-layer-adsorption-and-reaction (SILAR) method and subsequent hydrothermal or furnace annealing. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of the iron-oxide films obtained under various annealing conditions show the changes of the micro-scale surface structures and the magnetic properties. Homogenous Fe3O4 nanoparticles around 4 nm in diameter were synthesized by hydrothermal reduction method at low temperature and investigated using transmission electron microscopy (TEM).  相似文献

Measurements have been made to determine the mass attenuation coefficients of undoped n-type InSe, and Gd, Ho, Er doped n-InSe single crystals using a Si(Li) detector in the energy region 15.746–40.930 keV X-ray energies with energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence systems. InSe, InSe:Gd, InSe:Ho and InSe:Er single crystals were grown by using the stockbarger method. The measured values are graphically compared with the theoretical ones obtained using WinXcom.  相似文献
