In this paper we study the geometric numerical solution of the so called “good” Boussinesq equation. This goal is achieved by using a convenient space semi‐discretization, able to preserve the corresponding Hamiltonian structure, then using energy‐conserving Runge–Kutta methods in the Hamiltonian boundary value method class for the time integration. Polymer brushes were prepared by using the reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) technique. The silicon substrates (Si (111) surface) were modified with ethyl xanthate groups which were introduced by the treatment of Si (111) surface with sodium ethyl xanthate. The polymer brushes were then prepared under RAFT conditions from the Si (111) wafer. Its “living” characteristics were determined by a series of characterizations including gel permeation chromatography (GPC), ellipsometry, and contact angle measurements. The results showed a well‐defined graft layer consisting of polymer brushes with low‐polydispersity could be prepared directly on Si (111)‐X surface (where X represents an ethyl xanthate groups). The structure of the polymer brushes was characterized and confirmed with the surface sensitive techniques such as X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning probe microscopy (SPM). HOMO and LUMO (FMOs) play important role in the optical properties of meridianal isomer of tris(8-hydroxyquinolino)aluminum (mer-Alq3) and its derivatives. The frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs) also play a vital role in the process of charge transport. It is urgent to find the reason of FMO distribution pattern among the ligands. The structures of mer-Alq3 and its “CH”/N substituted derivatives have been optimized at the B3LYP/6-31G* level. Energy decomposition analysis has been performed at the B3LYP/DZP level. The results of energy-partitioning analysis of ground states are discussed. It has been explained that HOMOs are on A-ligands due to weaker electrostatic interaction energy between La-AlLbLc fragments while LUMOs are on B-ligands due to weaker orbital interaction energy between Lb-AlLaLc fragments. 相似文献

Recently Kim has given a general method, using group-invariant orbit parameters, for determining the energy and residual symmetry of the Higgs potential minimum. In this paper we illustrate the method by working out the case of a quartic SU(5) Higgs potential with and higgsons. In this method the Gell-Mann-Slansky conjecture concerning possible little groups of the potential minimum takes a geometric form, which is verified for our case. The results are used to discuss the hierarchical symmetry breaking of SU(5) grand unification theory. We generalize our results to the SU(N) adjoint + vector models, which are all closely related. 相似文献

The term “compensatory falsetto”, for the purpose of this investigation, refers to the development of an abnormally high-pitched voice in the presence of laryngeal pathology where more socially acceptable lower pitched voice production is possible. The purpose of this investigation was to compare laryngeal compensations and their effects on objective measures of vocal function during production of compensatory falsetto voice. Eighteen patients with abnormally high-pitched voice in the presence of underlying laryngeal pathology were evaluated in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Miami School of Medicine from January 1988 through December 1992 and were diagnosed with “compensatory falsetto”. Vocal fold paralysis (n = 11) was the most common laryngeal pathology. Vibratory characteristics were evaluated through videostrobolaryngoscopic examination. Acoustic and aerodynamic parameters assessed included fundamental frequency, jitter rate, harmonic-to-noise ratio, glottal air flow, and maximum phonation time. Production of a higher-pitched voice appeared to improve glottic closure and decrease the amount of air loss during phonation. A corresponding increase in maximum phonation time and improvement in acoustic characteristics of jitter and harmonic-to-noise ratio was also observed. 相似文献

Zur Prüfung von Kontaminationsmeβgeräten und zur Beglaubigung von Flächenstrahlungsquellen als Normale wurden im Deutscheti Amt für Meβwesen und Warenprüfung zwei Sälze von Flächenstrahlungsquellen mil den Betastrahlen 90Sr/90Y, 201Tl und 60Co angefertigt. Durch das dabei verwendete Herstellungsverfahren, bei dem je ein Tropfen rudioakliver Lösung in ein Feld eines vorgegebenen Rasters gebracht wurde, konnte eine sehr gleichmäβige Verteilung der akliven Substanz über die Quellenfläche erreicht und eine unmiltelbare Bestimmung der Flächenaktivitätswerte ermöglicht werden. Der besondere Aufbau der Flächenstrahlungsquellen geslatlet es, auf einfache Weise Meβfehler bei Kontaminationsme βgeräten, die durch das Material der Unterlage, auf dem sich die aktive Substanz befindet, und durch die Dicke der akliven Schicht hervorgerufen tcerden, zu erfassen oder zu eliminieren. 相似文献

Abstract GARR is engineering its next generation of the Italian Research and Education Network (GARR-X), which will exploit a countrywide optical infrastructure based on DWDM equipment and advanced multi-domain services. The trend is common in all National Research and Education Networks [1] in Europe and worldwide. NRENs are relying more and more on direct use of optical equipment to fulfill the researchers' requirements. These hybrid networks are built to provide services on a multi-domain environment both at the circuit and at the IP layer for researchers in, for example, radio astronomy (eVLBI [2]), GRID computing (EGEE [3], LHC [4]), high-performance computing (DEISA [5]). This article outlines the status and issues of ongoing research activities in GARR [6] and NRENs to provide, manage, and evolve dedicated optical-based networks for providing multi-domain end-to-end services.
