谈《诗经》中的变文手法

《诗经》重章叠句的形式导致了诗中变文的大量出现。自从汉代人发现了“变文同义”的规律后，历代学者都用这一思路来解释《诗经》。我们学习《诗经》，一定要了解这些变文的形式特点和前人解释它们的模式。只有这样，我们才能有效地解决《诗经》中比较棘手的难词问题。

针对中国古建筑的基址、台基和屋顶形式方面作了大量分析和研究，列举了龙山文化以来的考古、文献等方面资料。指出了中国古建筑形式从三代起至清朝末期本质上没有发生变化，而其观念亦没有发生本质变化。通过大量的史料论述和探究古建筑与观念间的关系，并探究了古建筑大屋顶的观念渊源，作为古建筑观念研究引玉之砖，为目前设计出具有中国民族特色的建筑提出了值得深思的课题。

含孔花岗岩破裂过程不同区域声发射特征

利用孔洞对声发射(AE)传播的阻隔作用,对AE探头监测区域进行分区.通过含孔花岗岩双轴加载破坏过程的AE多通道监测实验,研究了岩石变形破坏过程不同区域AE特征及其与破坏模式之间的关系.结果表明:试件的AE探头监测区域分为独测区、共测区、盲测区;试件共有两种破坏形式,“V”型和贯穿型;对于“V”型破坏的试件,主破裂发生在独测区,各通道的AE特征明显不同;对于贯穿型破坏试件,主破裂发生于共测区,各通道的AE特征较为相近.     

LOCALIZED PATTERNS OF THE CUBIC-QUINTIC SWIFT-HOHENBERG EQUATIONS WITH TWO SYMMETRY-BREAKING TERMS

Homoclinic snake always refers to the branches of homoclinic orbits \mbox{near} a heteroclinic cycle connecting a hyperbolic or non-hyperbolic equilibrium and a periodic orbit in a reversible variational system. In this paper, the normal form of a Swift-Hohenberg equation with two different symmetry-breaking terms (non-reversible term and non-k-symmetry term) are investigated by using multiple scale method, and their bifurcation diagrams are initially studied by numerical simulations. Typically, we predict numerically the existence of so-called round-snakes and round-isolas upon particular two symmetric-breaking perturbations.     

Optical switching and alignment of antiferroelectric liquid crystals containing an azo group

The optical properties of two kinds of photochromic antiferroelectric liquid crystal (AFLC) containing an azo group have been examined. Depending on the substituting group at the chiral centre, these AFLCs showed different photoinduced phase transitions by Ar⁺ laser light irradiation. This phase transition has led to a new form of optical switching controlled by a bias voltage. In addition, it was found that these AFLCs caused an azimuthal photoalignment effect regulated by linearly polarized Ar⁺ laser light irradiation. These phenomena were applied to image storage.     

Classroom note: Using the binomial series to prove the arithmetic mean–geometric mean inequality

In 1968, Leon Gerber compared (1 + x) ^a to its kth partial sum as a binomial series. His result is stated and, as an application of this result, a proof of the arithmetic mean–geometric mean inequality is presented.
