Adverse effects of a high‐water absorption rate on properties of a glass fiber–reinforced polyamide 6 (GF‐PA6) composite significantly reduce performance and limit application in humid environments. In this paper, a polyfunctional silane (PFS) coupling agent with amino (–NH2) and imino (–NH) groups and styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (SAN) were added to a composite, GF‐PA6, to prepare GF‐PA6/SAN/PFS composites via melt blending in a twin‐screw extruder. The effects of SAN and PFS content on the static and dynamic mechanical properties of the composites before and after water absorption were investigated in detail. The microstructure of the fracture surface was analyzed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that the addition of SAN and PFS could effectively inhibit water absorption of the GF‐PA6 composites. The alkoxyl groups on PFS reacted chemically with the nitrile groups of SAN, which enriched SAN on the interface between the fiber and matrix during the extrusion and mixing process to improve the effect of water prevention. Therefore, the mechanical properties of the wet state were notably improved while preventing water from permeating the interface by only the addition of a small amount of SAN and PFS. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) results showed that the addition of PFS improved the compatibility of PA6 with SAN and enhanced the interface adhesion between fiber and PA6. In terms of test result of the comprehensive performance, 10 phr SAN with 0.6 phr PFS was the best dosage.  相似文献

In recent years, many factors influencing phase behavior of polymer blends have been studied because of their widely technological importance, as a simple method of formulating new materials with tailored properties which make them suitable for a variety of applications. This work has three main goals which were reached by using the Perturbed Chain Statistical Associating Fluid Theory (PC-SAFT) and the Sanchez–Lacombe (SL) non-cubic equations of state (EoS), which in previous works have shown their ability to handle long chain and associating interactions. First, both equations of state were tested with the correlation of the specific volumes of pure blends (PBD/PS, PPO/PS, PVME/PS, PEO/PES) and the prediction of the specific volumes for blends; second, the modeling of blend miscibilities in the liquid–liquid equilibria (LLE) of PBD/PS, PPG/PEGE, PVME/PS, PEO/PES, and PnPMA/PS blends; third, the modeling of the phase behavior of PS/PVME blends at various compositions in the presence of CO2. PC-SAFT and SL pure-component parameters were regressed by fitting pure-component data of real substances (liquid pressure–volume–temperature, PVT, data for polymers and vapor pressure and saturated liquid molar volume for CO2) and the fluid phase behavior of blend systems were simulated fitting one binary interaction parameter (kij) by regression of experimental data using the modified likelihood maximum method. Results were compared with experimental data obtained from literature and an excellent agreement was obtained with both EoS, which were also capable of predicting the fluid phase behavior corresponding to the critical solution temperatures (LCST: lower critical solution temperature, UCST: upper critical solution temperature) of blends.  相似文献

In several acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) copolymers, some amounts of polybutadiene (PB) laTeX grafted with styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer were replaced by acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) copolymer, and the variations of morphology, mechanical properties, and rheological properties were examined. The impact strength of ABS, with a bimodal distribution of rubber size, was improved by the presence of the NBR, which distributes coarsely in the SAN matrix. Yield behavior in the rheological response due to the presence of rubber particles in the SAN matrix was enhanced by the coarser NBR particles, especially at high temperature.  相似文献
