In this work we investigate the existence and asymptotic profile of a family of layered stable stationary solutions to the scalar equation ut=ε2Δu+f(u) in a smooth bounded domain Ω⊂R3 under the boundary condition εν∂u=δεg(u). It is assumed that Ω has a cross-section which locally minimizes area and limε→0εlnδε=κ, with 0?κ<∞ and δε>1 when κ=0. The functions f and g are of bistable type and do not necessarily have the same zeros what makes the asymptotic geometric profile of the solutions on the boundary to be different from the one in the interior. 相似文献

We present an exactly soluble optimal stochastic control problem involving a diffusive two-states random evolution process and connect it to a nonlinear reaction-diffusion type of equation by using the technique of logarithmic transformations. The work generalizes the recently established connection between the non-linear Boltzmann-like equations introduced by Ruijgrok and Wu and the optimal control of a two-states random evolution process. In the sense of this generalization, the nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation is identified as the natural diffusive generalization of the Ruijgrok–Wu and Boltzmann model. 相似文献

This paper deals with a reaction-diffusion system with nonlinear absorption terms and boundary flux. As results of interactions among the six nonlinear terms in the system, some sufficient conditions on global existence and finite time blow-up of the solutions are described via all the six nonlinear exponents appearing in the six nonlinear terms. In addition, we also show the influence of the coefficients of the absorption terms as well as the geometry of the domain to the global existence and finite time blow-up of the solutions for some cases. To avoid the unstable phenomena caused by time delays and perturbations, we investigate the sufficient conditions to ensure the global exponential robust stability with a convergence rate for the reaction-diffusion neural networks with S-type distributed delays. Because S-type distributed delays lead to some difficulty, we also introduce a new generalized Halanay inequality and a novel method-system-approximation method into the qualitative research of neural networks. In the new social media era, it is becoming increasingly important to explore the propagation rules for rumors in social networks. This article is concerned with investigating a diffusive susceptible-infected rumor propagation model with a nonlinear propagation function in a spatially heterogeneous environment. We establish the uniform persistence and analyze the asymptotic behavior of the rumor-spreading steady state for the spatially heterogeneous model when one of the diffusion coefficients tends to zero. Moreover, to better reflect the effect of a time delay on the process of rumor propagation, we establish a spatially homogeneous model with a time delay and prove the existence and local stability of the corresponding equilibrium point. Furthermore, the optimal control in the spatially homogeneous environment case is derived.
