The structure-activity relationship of inhibitors of serotonin uptake and receptor binding

Summary An analysis of five different datasets of inhibitors of serotonin uptake has yielded quantitative structure/ activity relationships (QSARs) which delineate the role of steric and hydrophobic properties essential for inhibition by phenylethylamine-type analogues.     

Diffusion via splitting and remeshing via merging in vortex methods

The technique of splitting a fat vortex element (with a core width larger than some threshold) into some thin ones in order to fix the convergence problem of the core‐spreading vortex methods is convenient and efficient. In particular, it keeps the method purely Lagrangian. In the present investigation, the splitting process is further viewed as part of the physical diffusion process. A new splitting method in which several weaker child vortices surround a thinned but still strong parent vortex is proposed. It is found that because of the survival of the parent vortex, the error arising from the splitting events can be largely reduced. The computational amount on the other hand is kept reasonably large by merging similar and close‐by vortices. The merging scheme designed herein not only involves fewer restrictions but also allows merging vortices of opposite rotations through the viewpoint of remeshing. The validity and accuracy of these techniques, proposed particularly for simulations undergoing lots of splitting and merging events, are verified by successfully simulating the interactions between two Burgers vortices under an external straining field. Ionic nanocomposites based on XNBR-OMg filled with layered nanoclays

Ionic elastomers based on carboxylated nitrile rubber (XNBR) crosslinked with magnesium oxide (OMg) and filled with layered nanoclays have been prepared. Two types of nanofillers were employed: a commercial one (Cloisite 15 A) and the other prepared in our laboratory (BCA-ODA). The properties of raw and vulcanized compounds have been studied in order to elucidate the effect of layered nanoclays. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that during compounding and crosslinking the macromolecular chains of rubber were intercalated in a commercial nanofiller, whilst our nanoclay was exfoliated. However, this fact does not affect the properties of compounds homogeneously. Vulcanization parameters, Mooney viscosity and decay and rheological properties were affected depending on the filler type. Mechanical properties were not significantly varied, but glass transition temperature and ionic transition temperature were shifted in comparison with those of the unfilled compound.

自我评价在大学英语教学中的应用研究

小组合作学习有利于增强学生的学习兴趣和责任感,是一种有效的课堂教学组织形式。该研究探索小组合作学习中五要素之一的“小组自我学习评价和反馈”在大学英语教学中所起到的作用。实验采用了调查问卷、水平测试等试验工具进行调查和收集数据。结果表明小组合作学习有助于增强学生在语言学习中的元认知意识;其中小组自我评价在增强学生的元认知意识和促进小组活动方面起导航作用;能促使学生更多地参与学习过程,从而提高学生学习语言的效果。     

奇异矩阵的Krylov方法的误差分析比较

Krylov方法是求解线性方程组Ax=b,A∈CN×N,b∈CN的一种迭代方法,当A非奇异时,已有很好研究.而当A奇异或接近奇异阵时,在一定的假定条件下,Krylov方法的解与范教最小的最小二乘解A+b之间的差是可以估计出来的.

用扩展电阻法研究陶瓷微区电导性能

本文把扩展电阻法应用于陶瓷微区电导性能研究.建立了微区的定位标识系统,可精确、方便地对选定的微区进行电导性能及组分的重复测定.该方法在研究Ba(Sn_(1-x)Sb_x)O_3、ZnO及BaTiO_3半导体瓷应用中得到有意义的结果.
