Solvability of F 4 Quantum Integrable Systems

It is shown that the F ₄ rational and trigonometric integrable systems are exactly solvable for arbitrary values of the coupling constants. Their spectra are found explicitly while eigenfunctions are obtained by pure algebraic means. For both systems new variables are introduced in which the Hamiltonian has an algebraic form being also (block)-triangular. These variables are a certain invariants of the F ₄ Weyl group. Both Hamiltonians preserve the same (minimal) flag of spaces of polynomials, which is found explicitly.     

Letter: Some Remarks on Standing Gravitational Waves

An intuitive definition of standing gravitational waves is proposed. Some main classes of exact vacuum solutions are searched for standing gravitational waves, in most cases with a negative result. Only some Einstein–Rosen waves meet the conditions.     

New Exact Solutions to the Combined KdV and mKdV Equation

The modified mapping method is developed to obtain new exact solutions to the combined KdV and mKdV equation. The method is applicable to a large variety of nonlinear evolution equations, as long as odd- and even-order derivative terms do not coexist in the equation under consideration.     

Classical Solutions from Quantum Regime for Barotropic FRW Model

The quantization of gravity coupled to barotropic perfect fluid matter field with a cosmological constant is carried out. The wave function can be determined for any curvature index in the FRW minisuperspace model. The meaning of the existence of the classical solution is discussed in the WKB semiclassical approximation.     

Representations and Classification of Traveling Wave Solutions to sinh-GSrdon Equation

Two concepts named atom solution and combinatory solution are defined. The classification of all single traveling wave atom solutions to sinh-Gordon equation is obtained, and qualitative properties of solutions are discussed. In particular, we point out that some qualitative properties derived intuitively from dynamic system method are not true. Finally, we prove that our solutions to sinh-Gordon equation include all solutions obtained in the paper [Z.T. Fu, et al., Commun. Theor. Phys. （Beijing, China） 45 （2006） 55]. Through an example, we show how to give some new identities on Jacobian elliptic functions.     

Exact Eigenfunctions of N-body System with Quadratic Pair Potential

We obtain the energy spectrum and all the corresponding eigenfunctions of N-body Bose and Fermi systems with Quadratic Pair Potentials in one dimension. The original first excited state or energy level is disappeared in one dimension, which results from the operation of symmetry or antisymmetry of identical particles. In two and higher dimensions, we give the energy spectrum and the analytical ground state wave functions and the degree of degeneracy. By comparison, we refine Avinash Khare's results by making some items in his article precisely.     

An everywhere convergent series representation of the distribution of Hotelling's generalized T0

A new series representation of the exact distribution of Hotelling's generalized T₀² statistic is obtained. Unlike earlier work, the series representation given here is everywhere convergent. Explicit formulae are given for both the null and the non-central distributions. Earlier results by [1], 215–225), which are convergent on the interval [0, 1), are also derived quite simply from our formulae. The paper therefore provides a solution to the long standing problem of the exact distribution of the T₀² statistic in the general case.     

Characterizing and Generating Bivariate Empirical Rank Distributions Satisfying Certain Positive Dependence Concepts

Abstract

This article introduces an approach for characterizing the classes of empirical distributions that satisfy certain positive dependence notions. Mathematically, this can be expressed as studying certain subsets of the class S_N of permutations of 1, …, N, where each subset corresponds to some positive dependence notions. Explicit techniques for it-eratively characterizing subsets of S_N that satisfy certain positive dependence concepts are obtained and various counting formulas are given. Based on these techniques, graph-theoretic methods are used to introduce new and more efficient algorithms for constructively generating and enumerating the elements of various of these subsets of S_N. For example, the class of positively quadrant dependent permutations in S_N is characterized in this fashion.     

An exact DSatur-based algorithm for the Equitable Coloring Problem

This paper describes an exact algorithm for the Equitable Coloring Problem, based on the well known DSatur algorithm for the classic Coloring Problem with new pruning rules specifically derived from the equity constraint. Computational experiences show that our algorithm is competitive with those known in literature.
