We consider a partially dissipative hyperbolic system with time-dependent coefficients and show that under natural assumptions its solutions behave like solutions to a parabolic problem modulo terms of faster decay. A meaningful rank as well as efficient methods for computing such a rank are necessary in many areas of applications. Major methodologies for ranking often exploit principal eigenvectors. Kleinberg’s HITS model is one of such methodologies. The standard approach for computing the HITS rank is the power method. Unlike the PageRank calculations where many acceleration schemes have been proposed, relatively few works on accelerating HITS rank calculation exist. This is mainly because the power method often works quite well in the HITS setting. However, there are cases where the power method is ineffective, moreover, a systematic acceleration over the power method is desirable even when the power method works well. We propose a practical acceleration scheme for HITS rank calculations based on the filtered power method by adaptive Chebyshev polynomials. For cases where the gap-ratio is below 0.85 for which the power method works well, our scheme is about twice faster than the power method. For cases where gap-ratio is unfavorable for the power method, our scheme can provide significant speedup. When the ranking problems are of very large scale, even a single matrix–vector product can be expensive, for which accelerations are highly necessary. The scheme we propose is desirable in that it provides consistent reduction in number of matrix–vector products as well as CPU time over the power method, with little memory overhead. 相似文献

We use dynamic style analysis to unveil the strategies followed by Brazilian actuarial funds from January 2004 to August 2008 and investigate whether managers’ decisions were compatible with the intention of protecting the investor against the negative effects of inflation. The main goal of this paper is to show that this methodology is suitable for allowing insurance companies to increase their capacity to monitor the behavior of portfolios and to control the amount of risk they assume. The basic steps of the method are to build and/or choose market indexes capable of characterizing the returns of the main securities available and to apply restricted linear state space models estimated with a Kalman filter with exact initialization. The main conclusions of this paper are the following: (1) the use of exact initialization of the Kalman filter promotes numerical stability; (2) there is no need to consider the entire set of market indicators because a subset containing only three indexes spans the relevant space of investment opportunities; and (3) the actuarial funds’ resources were primarily invested in inflation‐indexed bonds, but fund managers also left room to adjust their exposure to other assets not directly related to the objective of providing protection against inflation. This article investigates the norms of certain interpolation operators of analytic functions on the unit disc. In particular, it is shown that the norms of interpolation operators being the identical operator for all n -degree polynomials have a lower bound of order ln n . This result is compared with a recent result regarding trigonometric interpolation of continuous functions on the unit circle. It is shown that opposed to the operators of analytic functions on the unit disc, the method of oversampling can be applied in order to uniformly bound the interpolation operators. Moreover, some practical implications with regard to communication engineering are discussed. It is concluded that in practice the results lead to non-linear interpolation operators. 相似文献

In this paper, we present two control schemes for the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system. One is an observer-based digital redesign tracker with the state-feedback gain and the feed-forward gain based on off-line observer/Kalman filter identification (OKID) method. The presented control scheme is able to make the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system to well track the desired reference signal. The other is an active fault tolerance state-space self-tuner using the OKID method and modified autoregressive moving average with exogenous inputs (ARMAX) model-based system identification for unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system with input faults. First, one can apply the off-line OKID method to determine the appropriate (low-) order of the unknown system order and good initial parameters of the modified ARMAX model to improve the convergent speed of recursive extended-least-squares (RELS) method. Then, based on modified ARMAX-based system identification, a corresponding adaptive digital control scheme is presented for the unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system with immeasurable system state. Moreover, in order to overcome the interference of input fault, one can use a fault-tolerant control scheme for unknown sampled-data nonlinear singular system by modifying the conventional self-tuner control (STC). The presented method can effectively cope with partially abrupt and/or gradual system input faults. 针对舰载机传递对准特点,直接利用主惯导的导航信息进行一次装订,引入了大失准角对准问题.为了解决舰载机传递对准问题,提出利用子惯导自主对准进行一次装订减小子惯导中间坐标系与主惯导间的失准角.分析Wahba问题提出统计意义的Quaternion(四元数)对准方法替换传统的Triad(双矢定姿)对准方法,提高了多信息冗余度和对准精度.基于分级修正思想,提出二次传递对准方法,第一次传递基于非线性模型和自适应渐消扩展卡尔曼滤波,并给出简化的渐消因子计算方法;第二次传递对准基于线性误差模型,采用速度+航向匹配,在补偿失准角的基础上,估计陀螺漂移.仿真结果表明二次传递方法能够满足舰载机传递对准需求. 相似文献
