Cognitive experiments involving motor execution (ME) and motor imagery (MI) have been intensively studied using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). However, the functional networks of a multitask paradigm which include ME and MI were not widely explored. In this article, we aimed to investigate the functional networks involved in MI and ME using a method combining the hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) and the independent component analysis (ICA). Ten right-handed subjects were recruited to participate a multitask experiment with conditions such as visual cue, MI, ME and rest. The results showed that four activation clusters were found including parts of the visual network, ME network, the MI network and parts of the resting state network. Furthermore, the integration among these functional networks was also revealed. The findings further demonstrated that the combined HCA with ICA approach was an effective method to analyze the fMRI data of multitasks.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of fluorescence-labeled probes based on phyllanthurinolactone 1, which is a leaf-closing substance of Phyllanthus urinaria L. The fluorescence study using biologically active probe 2 and inactive probes (epi-2 and 31) revealed that the target cell for 1 is a motor cell and suggested that some receptors, which recognize the aglycon of 1 exist on the plasma membrane of the motor cell, as with leaf-opening substances. Moreover, binding of probe 2 was specific to the plant motor cell contained in the plants belonging to the genus Phyllanthus. These results showed that the binding of probe 2 with a motor cell is specific to the plant genus and suggested that the genus-specific receptor for the leaf-closing substance would be involved in nyctinasty.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of the novel fluorescence-labeled jasmonate glycoside 2 based on β-d-glucopyranosyl 12-hydroxyjasmonate 1, which is a leaf-closing substance of Albizzia julibrissin Durazz. The fluorescence study using 2 revealed that the target cell for 1 is a motor cell. Probe 2 bound to the motor cells of two plants belonging to genus Albizzia. This result suggested that a receptor for 2, which is common among genus Albizzia would be involved in the nyctinastic leaf movement.  相似文献

The viscosity index (VI) and the base number (BN) of motor oils are the most important parameters to be measured in order to assess their performance and service time. Both parameters were simply obtained for virgin and recycled motor oil samples using multivariate calibration based on the FTIR data. Analysis showed that the PLS-1 has outperformed CLS and PCR for the oil parameters prediction. Five and four PLS-1 latent variables were found optimum to obtained the VI and the BN from the FTIR data; respectively. With high accuracy (99-102%) and precision (3-11%), the BN could be determined over the range 4.57-16.45 mg KOH g−1 and the VI over the range 96-153. The outputs of the PLS-1 were found comparable to those obtained by the expensive and time-consuming ASTM methods. This developed method is highly recommended for quick monitoring of the motor oil quality parameters.  相似文献

Gradient echo (GE) and echo planar imaging (EPI) techniques are two different approaches to functional MRI (fMRI). In contrast to GE sequences, the ultra short EPI technique facilitates fMRI experiments with high spatial and temporal resolution or mapping of the whole brain. Although it has become the method of choice for fMRI, EPI is generally restricted to modern scanners with a strong gradient system. The aim of our study was to evaluate the applicability of EPI for fMRI of the motor cortex using a 1.5 T scanner with a conventional gradient system of 10 mT/m (rise time: 1 ms). Therefore, EPI was compared with a well-established high resolution fast low angle shot (FLASH) technique (matrix size 1282). The FLASH technique was applied additionally with a 642 matrix size to exclude influences caused by different spatial resolution, because the EPI sequence was restricted to a 642 matrix size. A total of 35 healthy volunteers were included in this study. The task consisted of clenching and spreading of the right hand. FLASH and EPI techniques were compared regarding geometric distortions as well as qualitative and quantitative fMRI criteria: Mean signal increase between activation and rest and the area of activation were measured within the contralateral, ipsilateral, and supplementary motor cortex. The quality of subtraction images between activation and rest, as well as the quality of z-maps and time course within activated regions of interest, was evaluated visually. EPI revealed significant distortions of the anterior and postior brain margins; lateral distortions (relevant for the motor cortex) could be neglected in most cases. The mean signal increase was significantly higher using FLASH 1282 compared to FLASH 642 and EPI 642, whereas the activated areas proved to be smaller in FLASH 1282 functional images. Both results can be explained by well-documented partial volume effects, caused by different voxel size. Similar quality of the subtraction images and of the time courses in different regions of interest were found for all techniques under investigation, but slightly reduced quality of z-map in FLASH 1282. Within the limits of reproducibility and measurement accuracy, the location of contralateral activation was similar using FLASH and EPI sequences. In conclusion, EPI proved to be a reliable technique for fMRI of the motor cortex, even on an MR scanner with a conventional gradient system.  相似文献
