LIMIT CYCLES BIFURCATION FOR A CLASS OF DEGENERATE SINGULARITY

In this paper, bifurcation of limit cycles for the degenerate equilibrium to a three- dimensional system is investigated. Firstly, we use formal series to calculate the focal values at the high-order critical point on center manifold. Then an example is studied, and the existence of 3 limit cycles on the center manifold is proved. In terms of high- order singularities in high-dimensional systems, our results are new.     

Projective vector fields on Finsler manifolds

In this paper, we give the equation that characterizes projective vector fields on a Finsler manifold by the local coordinate. Moreover, we obtain a feature of the projective fields on the compact Finsler manifold with non-positive flag curvature and the non-existence of projective vector fields on the compact Finsler manifold with negative flag curvature. Furthermore, we deduce some expectable, but non-trivial relationships between geometric vector fields such as projective, affine, conformal, homothetic and Killing vector fields on a Finsler manifold.     

Parameter space of the Rulkov chaotic neuron model

The parameter space of the two dimensional Rulkov chaotic neuron model is taken into account by using the qualitative analysis, the co-dimension 2 bifurcation, the center manifold theorem, and the normal form. The goal is intended to clarify analytically different dynamics and firing regimes of a single neuron in a two dimensional parameter space. Our research demonstrates the origin that there exist very rich nonlinear dynamics and complex biological firing regimes lies in different domains and their boundary curves in the two dimensional parameter plane. We present the parameter domains of fixed points, the saddle-node bifurcation, the supercritical/subcritical Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, stability conditions of non hyperbolic fixed points and quasiperiodic solutions. Based on these parameter domains, it is easy to know that the Rulkov chaotic neuron model can produce what kinds of firing regimes as well as their transition mechanisms. These results are very useful for building-up a large-scale neuron network with different biological functional roles and cognitive activities, especially in establishing some specific neuron network models of neurological diseases.     

An explicit recursive formula for computing the normal forms associated with semisimple cases

This paper presents an explicit, computationally efficient, recursive formula for computing the normal forms, center manifolds and nonlinear transformations for general n-dimensional systems, associated with semisimple singularities. Based on the formula, we develop a Maple program, which is very convenient for an end-user who only needs to prepare an input file and then execute the program to “automatically” generate the result. Several examples are presented to demonstrate the computational efficiency of the algorithm.     

关于SOL流形具有常平均曲率旋转曲面的注记

研究非欧流形SOL 空间上共形平均曲率方程的可解性,通过研究轮廓曲线对具有平均曲率的旋转曲面进行分类。当这些旋转曲面的平均曲率为给定函数时,计算出相应轮廓曲线的微分方程。通过求解这些微分方程,给出旋转函数是其上共形平均曲率的充分条件。     

Stabilization of 4-manifolds

The complex surface X obtained by 8 points blown up on CP2 and Barlow’s surface Y are homeomorphic,but not diffeomorphic.Using the Gromov-Witten invariant Ruan showed that the stabilized manifolds X×S2and Y×S2are not deformation equivalent.In this note,we show that the stabilized manifolds X×S1and Y×S1are diffeomorphic and non-deformation equivalent in cosymplectic sense.     

One Nonparabolic End Theorem on Kahler Manifolds

In this paper, the complete noncompact Kahler manifolds satisfying the weighted Poincare inequality are considered and one nonparabolic end theorem which generalizes Munteanu＇s result is obtained.     

Stability of hyperbolic manifolds with cusps under Ricci flow

We show that every finite volume hyperbolic manifold of dimension greater than or equal to 3 is stable under rescaled Ricci flow, i.e. that every small perturbation of the hyperbolic metric flows back to the hyperbolic metric again. Note that we do not need to make any decay assumptions on this perturbation.     

Lie algebroid modules and representations up to homotopy

We establish a relationship between two different generalizations of Lie algebroid representations: representation up to homotopy and Vaĭntrob’s Lie algebroid modules. Specifically, we show that there is a noncanonical way to obtain a representation up to homotopy from a given Lie algebroid module, and that any two representations up to homotopy obtained in this way are equivalent in a natural sense. We therefore obtain a one-to-one correspondence, up to equivalence.
