Ring opening of 4-aryl-2-phenyloxazol-5-one 1 with 2-aminobenzoic acid in acetic acid and n-butanol gave compounds 2 and 3, respectively. The 4H-3,1-benzoxazin-4-one derivative 4 was synthesized by refluxing of compound 2 in acetic anhydride. Then it reacted with different nitrogen nucleophiles such as hydrazine hydrate, phenylhydrazine, cyclohexylamine, piperidine, ethylenediamine, ethanolamine, semicarbazide hydrochloride, cyanoacetohydrazide and methyl glycinate hydrochloride to give compounds 5–14 in order to study the behavior of these nucleophilic reagents on the performed ring system. All the structures of the newly prepared compounds were characterized by their IR, 1H-, 13C-NMR and MS spectral data. Some of the synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. Compound 5 showed remarkable activity upon this screening. 相似文献

The geometries, stabilities, and antioxidant activities of L‐Ascorbic acid (1a), D‐erythroascorbate (2a), and D‐erythroascorbate glucoside (3a) as well as their sulfur and selenium derivatives are systematically investigated by using density functional theory. Emphasis is placed on studies of the two main mechanisms, that is, hydrogen atom donation and single‐electron transfer, and the O—H bond dissociation enthalpy and the ionization potential are computed in the gas phase and water solution. The calculated results indicate that the 2‐OH group in the five‐membered ring acts as an important H atom donor to free radicals. The 2‐OH radical spin density distribution shows that the unpaired electron is mostly located at the C3 atom of the five‐membered ring and partially at the vicinal O atoms, proving that a certain delocalization of the odd electron is effective in the five‐membered ring. In water aqueous solution, the antioxidant capacity and the electron donating ability are increased as the O atom in the five‐membered ring of 1a, 2a, and 3a is replaced by S and Se, respectively, in good agreement with experimental measurements; Furthermore, their antioxidant capacities are enhanced as compared with the standard antioxidant (resveratrol). © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. 相似文献

A novel sulfur-bearing secondary antioxidant with a high molecular weight of 2252 (OS-POSS), successfully synthesized via photoinitiated thiol-ene click reaction, was compared with two commercial sulfur-bearing secondary antioxidants on the stabilization of polypropylene (PP). The results of their oxidation induction time (OIT) via differential scanning calorimeter measurement (DSC) showed that the higher the molecular weight of secondary antioxidant is, the longer the OIT value, whether such sulfur-bearing antioxidant is used singly or in combination with primary antioxidant. The study of their long-term accelerated thermal aging in the air oven at 150 °C displayed that the molecular structure of sulfur-bearing secondary antioxidant, besides molecular weight, is another highly important factor determining the antioxidant efficiency, i.e., physical loss of antioxidants with the relatively low molecular weight may determine antioxidant efficiency, whereas thioether groups having neighboring ester carbonyl moieties may decompose more hydroperoxides with quicker rate. 相似文献

A simple, accurate and rapid voltammetric method has been developed for the quantitative determination of coenzyme Q10. Studies with direct current voltammetry were carried out using a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in a phosphate buffer solution (pH 6.86). A well-defined oxidation peak of CoQ10 was obtained at -0.600 V vs Ag/AgCl. The magnitude of the oxidation peak current has been found to be related to the concentration of the coenzyme over the range of (2.010-5 to 2.010-4 M) (r = 0,991). 以广西油茶和湖南油茶为试验材料,研究在温度梯度下,两种油茶幼苗叶的最大光化学效率(Fv/Fm)和油茶中过氧化氢酶(CAT)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)等抗氧化物酶的酶活性变化.结果表明:(1)温度使两种油茶的最大光化学效率(Fv/Fm)有所下降,但影响不明显.(2)低温处理后,广西油茶过氧化氢酶活性在20℃时最高,湖南油茶过氧化氢酶活性在15℃时最高;两种油茶中的超氧化物歧化酶活性均在20℃时最高;广西油茶中过氧化物酶活性在15℃时最高,湖南油茶过氧化物酶活性在10℃时最高. 相似文献

In order to contribute to the valorisation of wild fungi whose nutritional potential, although considerable, is not sufficiently known in some countries such as Togo, a study has been carried out on Russula species. The diversity of Russula species from Alédjo Wildlife Reserve has been assessed using a focused inventory in woodlands dominated by Isoberlinia doka Craib & Stapf, Isoberlinia tomentosa (Harms) Craib & Stapf, Monotes kerstingii Gilg, Uapaca togoensis Pax and gallery forests dominated by Berlinia grandiflora (Vahl) Hutch & Dalz and Uapaca guineensis Müll. Ethnomycological surveys have been carried out among Tém and Kabyè, two riparian ethnic groups that are mainly represented. Biochemical analyses have been carried out using the AOAC method. Fifteen (15) taxa of edible Russula species are commonly used by Tém and Kabyè people living along the Alédjo Wildlife Reserve among which thirteen (13) taxa have been identified up to species level. R. oleifera is eaten by all interviewed people in both sociolinguistic groups (Fr = 100%) followed by R. compressa (Fr = 92.31%), R. ochrocephala (Fr = 87.18%) among Tém people and R. ochrocephala (Fr = 91.67%), R. compressa (Fr = 83.33%) among Kabyè people. Five (05) new species of edible Russula have been identified for the first time in Togo. The Russula species analysed have been rich in macronutrients with contents ranging from 2.88 g/100 g of dw for fat to 65.83 g/100 g of dw for total carbohydrates. In addition, these Russula species have shown a relatively high mineral content with contents ranging from 405.70 mg/100 g of dw for Ca to 2784 mg/100 g of dw for K. Furthermore, the results have revealed that Russula species analysed are a source of energy with 309.50 Kcal/100 g of dw. The edible Russula species analysed can thus contribute to food security in Togo. 相似文献

The societal cost of micronutrient deficiency (MND) or the “hidden hunger” is in millions of dollars/year, reducing the GDP of some countries by as much as 11%. Zn is an important micronutrient for both plants and animals. An estimated 17% of the world population, or around 1.1 billion people, are at the risk of zinc (Zn) deficiency. The deficiency has been related to adverse pregnancy outcomes, stunted growth, premature deaths, immune system dysfunctions, neuro-behavioral disorders, and recently with the failure to recover from COVID-19. These health risks associated with Zn deficiency have compelled FAO and WHO to recommend Zn fortification of diet. Correcting Zn deficiency is a challenge due to several reasons. Close to half of the agricultural soils are Zn deficient, and chemical Zn fertilizers are costly and ineffective. Developing Zn-rich crops through plant breeding and genetic engineering is challenging. Zn-dense diet is costly and cannot be implemented in the low-income region most affected by Zn deficiency. Lack of consensus among regulatory bodies on defining and diagnosing Zn deficiency in plants and Humans. Awareness and other sociocultural issues. Among the most important available solutions are zinc biofortification of the cereal crops, use of zinc biofertilizers, development of Zn-efficient crops with reduced phytate content. The use of Zn supplements, dietary modification, and diversification, especially with fish, are proposed as the most accessible and affordable solutions. Awareness programs in areas suffering the most from Zn deficiency are required. Despite the suggestions from FAO and WHO, global efforts to combat Zn deficiency matching those for combating diseases like HIV are not in place. Coordinated efforts of the international community, especially policy-makers, agricultural scientists, dieticians, physicians, and others, are required to address the issue of hidden hunger. 相似文献

The harmful effects of pesticide residues are a threat to our health. Therefore, the current study aimed to validate a simple method for the determination of pesticide residues in commonly consumed fruits and vegetables from Al-Rass, Al-Qassim region, Saudi Arabia. A total of 1430 samples were collected from a local market and then analyzed for monitoring of 49 pesticide residues. A quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) multi-residue extraction method followed by gas chromatography equipped with triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC–MS/MS) was successfully implemented. This 17-min-run analytical method detects and quantifies pesticide residues with acceptable validation performance parameters in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, linearity, the limit of quantification, accuracy, and precision. The linear range of the calibration curves ranged from 10 to 300 µg/L, all the pesticide LODs ranged from 0.0005 to 0.0024 mg/kg, and the pesticide LOQs ranged from 0.0011 to 0.0047 mg/kg. The recovery values at the three fortification levels ranged from 78 % to 107 %, and the precision values (expressed as RSD%) were less than 20 % for all of the investigated analytes. The results showed that 138 (9.65 %) of the analyzed samples were contaminated with pesticide residues, 40 (2.80 %) of the analyzed samples exceeded the maximum residue limit (MRL) of the European Commission regulations (EC) for pesticides residues, 98 (6.85 %) of the analyzed samples were contaminated with residues below the MRL, and 1292 (90.35 %) of the analyzed samples were pesticide residue-free. Coriander contained the highest percentage (46.88 %) of pesticide residues, particularly tetradifon that representing 18.75 % noncompliance with the MRL, followed by parsley, with 20.59 % pesticide residues (10.29 % non-compliance). Background: Thiazole is a good pharmacophore nucleus due to its various pharmaceutical applications. Essential oils (EOs) were extracted from Eugenia patrisii, E. punicifolia, and Myrcia tomentosa, specimens A and B, using hydrodistillation. Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS) was used to identify the volatile constituents present, and the antioxidant capacity of EOs was determined using diphenylpicryl-hydrazyl (DPPH) and trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC) assays. For E. patrisii, germacrene D (20.03%), bicyclogermacrene (11.82%), and (E)-caryophyllene (11.04%) were identified as the major constituents of the EOs extracted from specimen A, whereas specimen B primarily comprised γ-elemene (25.89%), germacrene B (8.11%), and (E)-caryophyllene (10.76%). The EOs of E. punicifolia specimen A contained β-Elemene (25.12%), (E)-caryophyllene (13.11%), and bicyclogermacrene (9.88%), while specimen B was composed of (E)-caryophyllene (11.47%), bicyclogermacrene (5.86%), β-pinene (5.86%), and γ-muurolene (5.55%). The specimen A of M. tomentosa was characterized by γ-elemene (12.52%), germacrene D (11.45%), and (E)-caryophyllene (10.22%), while specimen B contained spathulenol (40.70%), α-zingiberene (9.58%), and γ-elemene (6.89%). Additionally, the chemical composition of the EOs was qualitatively and quantitatively affected by the collection period. Furthermore, the EOs of the studied specimens, especially specimen A of E. punicifolia, showed a greater antioxidant activity in DPPH rather than TEAC, as represented by a significantly high inhibition percentage (408.0%). 相似文献
