Hemilability and regioselectivity in palladium and platinum complexes of dppm(E) [E = O, S, Se] ligands

Hemilability and nonrigidity in a series of mixed P^PE donor ligands where E = O, S, or Se have been studied in palladium and platinum complexes of the type [M{κ²-(dimethylamino)ethylnaphthyl-C,N)}(P^PE)][SbF₆] where P^PE = Ph₂PCH₂P(E)Ph₂.The role of the donor in hemilability, regioselectivity and the binding preferences of particular donors trans to the metallated carbon atom were also investigated. NMR parameters including couplings to ¹⁹⁵Pt and ⁷⁷Se were investigated for cis and trans isomers. The magnitude of ²J¹³C-⁷⁷Se couplings can readily distinguish the cis and trans isomers. A large through-space ¹³C-⁷⁷Se ³J coupling was observed in one of the amino methyl groups of the dppm(Se) complexes.     

Dynamic bifurcation of a modified Kuramotoben Sivashinsky equation with higher-order nonlinearity

Under the periodic boundary condition, dynamic bifurcation and stability in the modified Kuramoto—Sivashinsky equation with a higher-order nonlinearity μ(u_x)^pu_xx are investigated by using the centre manifold reduction procedure. The result shows that as the control parameter crosses a critical value, the system undergoes a bifurcation from the trivial solution to produce a cycle consisting of locally asymptotically stable equilibrium points. Furthermore, for cases in which the distances to the bifurcation points are small enough, one-order approximations to the bifurcation solutions are obtained.     

Magnetic and transport properties of bilayered manganites La1.2Sr1.8Mn2-xGaxO7（x=0,0.08）

The magnetic and electrical properties of nonmagnetic Ga +3 ion substitution for Mn site are investigated in the bilayer manganite La 1.2 Sr 1.8 Mn 2 O 7.When the Mn is substituted by Ga,the ferromagnetic property obviously weakens,the magnetic transition temperature decreases and a spin-glass behaviour occurs at low temperature.Meanwhile,doping causes the resistivity to dramatically increase,the metal-insulator transition temperature to disappear,and a greater magneto-resistance effect to occur at low temperature.These effects result from the fact that Ga substitution dilutes the magnetic active Mn-O-Mn network and weakens the double exchange interaction,and further suppresses ferromagnetic ordering and metallic conduction.     

Exact and explicit solutions to the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a saturable nonlinearity

We analyze the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation with a saturable nonlinearity through the (G^′/G)-expansion method to present some improved results. Three types of analytic solutions with arbitrary parameters are constructed; hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational which have not been explicitly computed before.     

Structural trends of 77Se?1H spin–spin coupling constants and conformational behavior of 2‐substituted selenophenes

Experimental measurements and second‐order polarization propagator approach (SOPPA) calculations of ⁷⁷Se? ¹H spin–spin coupling constants together with theoretical energy‐based conformational analysis in the series of 2‐substituted selenophenes have been carried out. A new basis set optimized for the calculation of ⁷⁷Se? ¹H spin–spin coupling constants has been introduced by extending the aug‐cc‐pVTZ‐J basis for selenium. Most of the spin–spin coupling constants under study, especially vicinal ⁷⁷Se? ¹H couplings, demonstrated a remarkable stereochemical behavior with respect to the internal rotation of the substituent in the 2‐position of the selenophene ring, which is of major importance in the stereochemical studies of the related organoselenium compounds.
