A novel tandem one-pot method for the synthesis of α-aminomethylene-γ-butyrolactone derivatives has been developed through the regioselective epoxide opening reactions with the Blaise reaction intermediates, generated by the reaction of a Reformatsky reagent with nitriles. Formation of a modified Blaise reaction intermediate by the addition of a stoichiometric amount of n-BuLi followed by slow addition of epoxide is required for the good yield of γ-butyrolactones. 相似文献

Azepinones are available via a one-pot cycloaddition-ring expansion reaction sequence in good yield. The reactions of azepinones with alkyl halides and epoxides were studied. We report herein protocols for the alkylation of azepinones at nitrogen with alkyl halides and epoxides and the isomerizations that occur in the presence of a base. Lepidoptera, including about 150,000 species in the world, comprise the second largest insect group, and sex pheromones have been identified from virgin female moths of more than 600 species. The chemical structures are simple, but diverse, because species-specific pheromones play an important role in the reproductive isolation of each species. The pheromone content in each female is quite low, and gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is most frequently utilized to reveal the chemical structure. Almost all pheromone components are straight-chain compounds and are classified into two major groups [i.e. unsaturated C10-C18 fatty alcohols and their derivatives (Type I) and C17-C23 polyenyl hydrocarbons and their epoxides (Type II)]. In addition to the unbranched compounds, some species secrete methyl-branched compounds (e.g., 2-ketones). For the identification of these compounds, determining the positions of the double bond, the epoxy ring, and the methyl group is an important key step. Copious spectral information measured by electron-impact ionization (70 eV) has been accumulated for these compounds. This review therefore deals with their spectral characteristics, namely, diagnostic ions, to apply them to pheromone studies on new target insects. 相似文献

Hydrogen bonding and the electron-withdrawing or electron-donating characteristics of substituent groups that are neighboring to epoxide groups can affect the reactivity of the epoxide ring. The crystal structure ofcis-2,3-epoxycyclooctanol has been determined as a saturated eight-membered ring compound in which a hydroxyl group is attached to the C(1) atom that is adjacent to a 2,3-fused epoxy ring. The findings are that the longer epoxide C-O bond (and hence the one expected to be more readily broken) is the one farther from the hydroxyl group [1.462(1) å versus 1.447(1) å] and that the optimal hydrogen bonding is to an adjacent molecule radier than within the molecule. The shortest C-C bond is that of the epoxide group; the bond adjacent to it (on the side farther from the hydroxyl group) is the next shortest. 相似文献
