In this paper, we define the generalised relative operator entropy and investigate some of its properties such as subadditivity and homogeneity. As application of our result, we obtain the information inequality. The Kakutani–Bebutov Theorem (1968) states that any compact metric real flow whose fixed point set is homeomorphic to a subset of R embeds into the Bebutov flow, the R-shift on C(R,[0,1]). An interesting fact is that this universal space is a function space. However, it is not compact, nor locally compact. We construct an explicit countable product of compact subspaces of the Bebutov flow which is a universal space for all compact metric real flows, with no restriction; namely, into which any compact metric real flow embeds. The result is compared to previously known universal spaces.  相似文献

For a scalar evolution equation ut = K(t, x, u, ux, . . . , u2m+1) with m ≥ 1, the cohomology space H1,2() is shown to be isomorphic to the space of variational operators and an explicit isomorphism is given. The space of symplectic operators for ut = K for which the equation is Hamiltonian is also shown to be isomorphic to the space H1,2() and subsequently can be naturally identified with the space of variational operators. Third order scalar evolution equations admitting a first order symplectic (or variational) operator are characterized. The variational operator (or symplectic) nature of the potential form of a bi-Hamiltonian evolution equation is also presented in order to generate examples of interest.  相似文献

We present a computational framework based on the use of the Newton and level set methods to model fluid–structure interaction problems involving elastic membranes freely suspended in an incompressible Newtonian flow. The Mooney–Rivlin constitutive model is used to model the structure. We consider an extension to a more general case of the method described in Laadhari (2017) to model the elasticity of the membrane. We develop a predictor–corrector finite element method where an operator splitting scheme separates different physical phenomena. The method features an affordable computational burden with respect to the fully implicit methods. An exact Newton method is described to solve the problem, and the quadratic convergence is numerically achieved. Sample numerical examples are reported and illustrate the accuracy and robustness of the method.  相似文献

In this paper we show how the metric theory of tensor products developed by Grothendieck perfectly fits in the study of channel capacities, a central topic in Shannon's information theory. Furthermore, in the last years Shannon's theory has been fully generalized to the quantum setting, and revealed qualitatively new phenomena in comparison. In this paper we consider the classical capacity of quantum channels with restricted assisted entanglement. These capacities include the classical capacity and the unlimited entanglement-assisted classical capacity of a quantum channel. Our approach to restricted capacities is based on tools from functional analysis, and in particular the notion of p  -summing maps going back to Grothendieck's work. Pisier's noncommutative vector-valued LpLp spaces allow us to establish the new connection between functional analysis and information theory in the quantum setting.  相似文献

In this note we consider the Schrödinger equation on compact manifolds equipped with possibly degenerate metrics. We prove Strichartz estimates with a loss of derivatives. The rate of loss of derivatives depends on the degeneracy of metrics. For the non-degenerate case we obtain, as an application of the main result, the same Strichartz estimates as that in the elliptic case. This extends Strichartz estimates for Riemannian metrics proved by Burq-Gérard-Tzvetkov to the non-elliptic case and improves the result by Salort for the degenerate case. We also investigate the optimality of the result for the case on 𝕊3 × 𝕊3.  相似文献
