给出了超短啁啾洛仑兹脉冲光束在自由空间中的传输方程,研究了啁啾对洛仑兹脉冲光束空间奇异性的影响.理论及数值模拟的结果表明,由于啁啾的作用,对于脉冲宽度大于一个光波振荡周期的洛仑兹脉冲光束同样存在空间奇异性.在初始位置,啁啾洛仑兹脉冲光束的空间奇异性出现在脉冲的前沿或后沿.当洛仑兹脉冲光束传输以后,啁啾洛仑兹脉冲光束的空间奇异性将更加强烈. 相似文献

The amplification of an ultrabroad bandwidth pulse in an Erbium-doped fiber amplifier in the case where the spectral bandwidth of pulse is comparable to the gain bandwidth of the amplifier is investigated. Based on the numerical simulation of a modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation, it is shown that the amplifier limits the efficiency of amplification. However, the limitation can be minimized by choosing the corresponding optimal fiber length for different gain bandwidths. In addition, the effect of gain bandwidth on the amplification of a soliton with initial chirp depends on the sign of the chirp. 相似文献

A CO2 laser and point-by-point method are used for fabricating step-changed period chirped long-period fiber gratings (LPFG). Several types of period chirped LPFGs have been demonstrated, such as, linearly chirp, peak-shape chirp, and cascaded linearly chirp. Unlike uniform LPFGs, the spectrum change such as multiple attenuation peaks, broader spectrum can be seen in these chirp gratings, and the spectral shape can be controlled by the grating period. Especially, the cascaded linearly chirped LPFGs performs a multi-peak as interference between the core mode and cladding mode, which can be used as multi-wavelength filters in fiber optic communication and fiber optic sensors. Also, a linear tuning range of 1.6 nm with -0.559 pm/με tuning rate is achieved in these types of devices by applying an axial strain. 相似文献

The impacts of polarization mode dispersion (PMD) on the pulse-width in linear systems have been investigated. The analytical solutions, including the effects of initial frequency chirp and group velocity dispersion (GVD), are derived. Analyses show that the pulse broadening effects induced by the second-order PMD depend on GVD and chirp parameter, which are different from those induced by the first-order PMD. An initially chirped Gaussian pulse is taken as an example, upon which analytical solutions of rms pulse-width are derived before and after the first-order PMD compensation. The first-order PMD compensator is also evaluated based on these solutions. The results show that the pulse broadening effects will be resisted efficiently by choosing appropriate GVD and chirp parameter; in general, the post-transmission compensation method will be less efficient than the PSP-transmission method. 相似文献

Performances of wavelength converted signal by cross phase modulation (XPM) using semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOA's) were studied by the use of the multi-section model. Results show that they are related to both the phase arm bias current of the XPM wavelength converter and its operation. When the conversion is under the in-phase operation, the peak extinction ratio (ER) and the chirp frequency of the converted signal increase according to the decrease of the phase arm bias current, but the input signal power dynamic range decreases. When the converter is under the out-of-phase operation, the chirp frequency decreases with the decrease of the phase arm bias current, while the peak ER and the input power dynamic range keep almost the same when the phase arm bias current changes. 相似文献

提出一种基于分数阶傅立叶变换的直扩系统片内多径搜索方法.使用Chirp信号作为导频信号,在接收端对多径Chirp信号进行分数阶傅立叶变换,根据多径时延差与分数域信号峰值的位置差之间存在的线性关系,通过检测分数域峰值位置进而计算出各多径分量的相对时延.搜索精度等于Chirp信号带宽的倒数,所以当Chirp带宽大于扩频带宽时可分辨片内多径.仿真结果表明,提出的方法能够有效地计算片内多径时延,在采用等增益方式对片内多径进行合并后接收机误码率性能获得提高. 相似文献

采用自相似抛物脉冲放大器对飞秒脉冲直接进行放大,并以低非线性系数的光子带隙光纤作为脉冲压缩器对放大的脉冲进行压缩.通过分步傅里叶方法研究了飞秒脉冲的初始宽度和啁啾对其自相似演化和压缩的影响.研究结果表明脉冲宽度越宽,脉冲自相似演化程度越差,演化脉冲的压缩质量也越差,压缩脉冲宽度较大,且有基座;脉冲的初始啁啾会严重阻碍其自相似演化,并最终影响脉冲的压缩质量;啁啾越大,脉冲的自相似演化结果越差,脉冲的压缩质量也越差;正的啁啾对脉冲的自相似演化的影响比负啁啾的要大. 相似文献

提出用具有特定折射率调制包络的线性啁啾长周期光纤光栅作为掺铒光纤放大器(EDFA)的增益平坦滤波器.采用龙格库塔迭代法数值求解该类型光栅耦合模方程,就特定的掺铒光纤放大器增益谱,用Nelder-Mead优化算法对光栅结构参量(光栅长度、周期、线性啁啾系数、折射率调制包络的形状等)进行优化,设计出能在C波段35 nm带宽范围内对掺铒光纤放大器进行平坦化(增益起伏在±0.5 dB之内)的平坦滤波器. 相似文献
