Dynamic light scattering experiments have been performed at various concentrations, of pharmaceutical oil-in-water microemulsions
consisting of Eutanol G as oil, a blend of a high (Tagat O2) and a low (Poloxamer 331) hydrophilic–lipophilic balance surfactant,
and a hydrophilic phase (propylene glycol/water). We probe the dynamics of these microemulsions by dynamic light scattering.
In the measured concentration range, two modes of relaxation were observed. The faster decaying mode is ascribed classically
to the collective diffusion D
c (total droplet number density fluctuation). We show that the slow mode is also diffusive and suggest that its possible origin
is the relaxation of polydispersity fluctuations. The diffusion coefficient associated with this mode is then the self-diffusion
D
s of the droplets. It was found that D
c and D
s had opposite volume fractions of oil plus surfactants (ϕ) dependence and a common limiting value D
0 for ϕ=0. Average hydrodynamic radius (R
h=10.5 nm) of droplets was calculated from D
0. R
h is supposed to compose the inner core, a surfactant film including possible solvent molecules, which migrate with the droplet.
The concentration dependence of diffusion coefficients reflects the effect of hard sphere and the supplementary repulsive
interactions which arises due to loss of entropy, when absorbed chains of surfactant intermingle on the close approach of
the two droplets. This mechanism could also explain the observed stability of our systems. The estimated extent of polydispersity
is 0.22 from the amplitude of slower decaying mode. The polydispersity in microemulsion systems is dynamic in origin. Results
indicate that the time scale for local polydispersity fluctuations is at least three orders of magnitude longer than the estimated

Novel 2-(3-trifluoromethylphenoxy)-4-trifluoromethylthiazole-5-carboxamides were designed and synthesized utilizing ethyl 3-amino-4,4,4-trifluoro-2-butenoate as a starting material via six steps. Subsequently, their biological activities were evaluated in the greenhouse. A new type of voltammetric sensor, Langmuir–Blodgett film of p‐tert‐butylthiacalix[4]arene modified glassy carbon electrode, was advanced and used for determining copper at trace levels by differential pulse stripping voltammetry. Calibration plot was found to be linear in the range of 2×10?8 M to 5×10?6 M; the detection limit was 2×10?9 M. Possible recognition mechanism was also discussed. From determination of Copper in real samples (river, lake and tap water) it can be concluded that the method is rapid, sensitive in determining of copper and can be used in the analysis of natural water samples. 相似文献

The oxidation of medical silicone rubber and segmented polyether urethane which were bombarded with 11.2 MeV Si+ or F+ at the dose of 5 × 1014 ions/cm2 was studied. In XPS measurements, it was found that the oxygen concentration on the surface of the implanted polymeric membranes had been increasing in three months at least. ESR measurement showed that some free radicals existed in these membranes and their quantities decreased with time. Chemical analysis proved that peroxides were generated in the γ irradiated membranes. The reason for the increasing of oxygen concentration was that free radicals combined with oxygen in the air and produced peroxides on the membrane surface. Chemical modification on the stereo‐regular poly(styrene‐co‐4‐methylstyrene) (sPS‐PMS) was attempted in this study. Metallocene copolymerization of styrene (St) and 4‐methylstyrene (MSt) was performed by using η5‐pentamethylcyclopentadienyl‐titanium(IV)tributoxide (Cp*Ti(OBu)3)/methylaluminoxane (MAO)/tri‐iso‐butylaluminum (TIBA) catalyst in the bulk state. Cobalt(II) catalyst was then applied to oxidize the benzylic methyl group on the MSt units of the resulting sPS‐PMS copolymer. Both aldehyde and carboxylic acid in the oxidized products were resolved by the FTIR and 1H NMR. The oxidized sPS‐PMSs exhibit a low and a high‐temperature Tg and Tm corresponding to the transitions in the amorphous and the crystalline regions. Hydrogen‐bond and polar interactions between the aldehyde and carboxylic acids tend to interrupt the regular chain packing of the oxidized sPS‐PMS, resulting in the lowering of Tm with oxidation level. The oxidized sPS‐PMS showed better adhesion to glass fiber than pure sPS‐PMS copolymer as evaluated from the respective SEM fractured micrographs. 相似文献

Electronic structure of optimized Ge5, Ge17, Ge5–O and Ge5 embedded in SiO2 nanoparticles have been studied by density functional theory to find out the effect of cluster size and Ge–O bond(s) on the optical energy gap between LUMO and HOMO. It was found that the optical energy gap depends on both cluster size and the number of Ge–O bonds nonlinearly. The optical energy gap was found to be in visible light range when the Ge5 nanoparticle has been embedded in SiO2 matrix. 相似文献

Determination of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid in apple extracts by capillary electrophoresis with laser-induced fluorescence detection 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
A rapid and sensitive method for the determination of 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) in apple tissues has been described. This method is based on the derivatization of ACC with 3-(2-furoyl)quinoline-2-carboxaldehyde (FQ), and separation and quantification of the resulting FQ-ACC derivative by capillary electrophoresis coupled to laser-induced fluorescence detection (CE-LIF). Our results indicated that ACC derivatized with FQ could be well separated from other interfering amino acids using 20 mM borate buffer (pH 9.35) containing 40 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate and 10 mM Brij 35. The linearity of ACC was determined in the range from 0.05 to 5 microM with a correlation of 0.9967. The concentration detection limit for ACC was 10 nM (signal-to-noise = 3). The sensitivity and selectivity of this described method allows the analysis of ACC in crude apple extracts without extra purification and enrichment procedure. 相似文献
