Efficient sampling for decision making in materials discovery

Accelerating materials discovery crucially relies on strategies that efficiently sample the search space to label a pool of unlabeled data. This is important if the available labeled data sets are relatively small compared to the unlabeled data pool. Active learning with efficient sampling methods provides the means to guide the decision making to minimize the number of experiments or iterations required to find targeted properties. We review here different sampling strategies and show how they are utilized within an active learning loop in materials science.     

A Bayesian-based approach for extracting the pion charge radius from electron-electron scattering data

In this study,we utilize a potentially versatile Bayesian parameter approach to compute the value of the pion charge radius and quantify its uncertainty from several experimental e~+e~-datasets for the pion vector form factor.We employ dispersion relations to model the pion vector form factor to extract the radius.Nested model selection is used to determine the order of polynomial appearing in the form factor formulation that can be supported by the data,adapting the computation of Bayes evidence and Bayesian effective complexity based on Occam's razor.Our findings indicate that five out of six used datasets favor the nine-parameter model for radius extraction,and accordingly,we average the radii from the datasets.Despite some inconsistencies with the most updated radius values,our approach may serve as a more intuitive method of addressing parameter estimations in dispersion theory.

利用Bayes统计分析方法,研究当先验分布为伽玛分布时,指数分布未知参数λ的Bayes区间估计问题,并给出参数的最高后验概率密度区间-HPD区间估计的条件极值解法,给出例子说明该方法的优越性.     

观测平台转向时稀疏贝叶斯学习方位估计

针对观测平台转向时固定安装于其上的声呐线列阵指向快速变化导致的空间谱谱峰变宽问题,提出一种稀疏贝叶斯学习方位估计方法。该方法利用大地坐标系下不同接收快拍中的空域稀疏信号具有相同先验分布的特性,将转向过程中多个阵列指向分别对应的接收快拍信息联合处理,以求得目标方位。仿真分析与海试数据处理显示出,所提方法可以获得谱峰较尖锐的空间谱,具有较高的测向精度和角度分辨力,此外,对由左右舷模糊引起的伪峰有较强的抑制效果。所得结果表明,所提方法可以有效解决谱峰变宽问题,提升了平台转向时的方位估计性能,同时有效地利用阵列指向的变化提高了线阵抗左右舷模糊能力。     

一类受开关函数控制的最快检测问题

提出一类受开关函数控制的最快检测问题.建立了转变时刻的先验概率受当前状态控制的概率模型,并使用最优停止理论结合贝叶斯方法,给出了该模型下最快检测的停止方法.使用该方法进行了计算机仿真,给出了虚警概率和平均延时的仿真结果.结果表明,该方法原理正确,拓展了贝叶斯最快检测方法的适用范围.     

基于Bayes方法的结构可靠性评估和预测

利用“信息窗口”的概念更新数据对已有结构耐久性评估和预测十分重要.按照Bayes思想,在MEDIC方法基础上发展了一种结构可靠性评估和预测的方法(Windows-RAISE).它不仅进一步发掘了MEDIC方法的数学背景,而且可以与我国的有关规程、规定相结合,将结构的可靠性分为4个等级进行评估和预测.通过不断引入新获取的已有结构可靠性的信息,可以对结构可靠性进行更为准确的评估和预测,为结构的修补、加固以及是否拆除重建提供了一个很实用的决策方法.     

模糊决策器的硬件实现

本文提出了一种硬件实现模糊决策的方法，从理论上论证了这种方法的正确性，并通过实验证明其可行。它可以应用于模糊硬件系统，以实现对连续或离散模糊信号的去模糊。     

指数分布场合恒定应力加速寿命试验的Bayes分析

在指数分布场合，根据恒定应力加速寿命试验数据，应用两种方法，给出平均寿命的占估计及置信下限。     

具有Rao简单结构的多元T-模型的局部影响分析

本文应用以Kullback-Leibler散度为基础的Bayesian局部影响方法，对具有Rao简单结构的多元T-模型进行了局部影响分析．在确定了先验分布假设下，详细地研究了这个模型的Bayesian Hessian矩阵，作为应用，特别考虑了常见的加权协方差扰动形式．     

基于Epanechnikov核函数的有偏差采样和贝叶斯阴阳机的复杂图像分割

鉴于复杂图像所含信息的非均匀性，采用新的基于Epanechnikov核函数的有偏差采样方法对图像进行有效采样，并通过将贝叶斯阴阳机聚类理论对采样所得图像进行分割，进而获得最终的图像分割结果．实验表明，该方法是有效的。
