Compound matrices are encountered in many fields such as Matrix Theory, Systems Theory, Control Theory, etc. In the present paper we develop an efficient algorithm computing the Smith normal form of compound matrices. This algorithm is based on a new theorem establishing an equivalence relation between the Smith normal form of the compounds of a given matrix and the compounds of the Smith normal form of the given matrix. Generalized cardinal B-splines are defined as convolution products of characteristic functions of self-affine lattice tiles with respect to a given integer scaling matrix. By construction, these generalized splines are refinable functions with respect to the scaling matrix and therefore they can be used to define a multiresolution analysis and to construct a wavelet basis. In this paper, we study the stability and linear independence properties of the integer translates of these generalized spline functions. Moreover, we give a characterization of the scaling matrices to which the construction of the generalized spline functions can be applied.  相似文献

Ifj e ,e ∋ ∂D, is an arbitrary real-analytic family of orientation-reversing homeomorphisms of fixingX e pointwise, we show that there is a unique holomorphic motion of extending the given motion of Jordan curves and consistent with the given family of involutions. If these generalized reflections are defined using the barycentric extension construction of Douady-Earle-Nag, then the resulting extension method for holomorphic motions of X is natural, that is Moebius-invariant and continuous with respect to variation of the given motion of X0.  相似文献

We present a novel variational formulation of fully anisotropic motion by surface diffusion and mean curvature flow in , d ≥ 2. This new formulation leads to an unconditionally stable, fully discrete, parametric finite element approximation in the case d = 2 or 3. The resulting scheme has very good properties with respect to the distribution of mesh points and, if applicable, volume conservation. This is demonstrated by several numerical experiments for d = 3, including regularized crystalline mean curvature flow and regularized crystalline surface diffusion.  相似文献

In this work we consider the behaviour for large values of p of the unique positive weak solution u p to Δ p u = u q in Ω, u = +∞ on , where q > p − 1. We take q = q(p) and analyze the limit of u p as p → ∞. We find that when q(p)/pQ the behaviour strongly depends on Q. If 1 < Q < ∞ then solutions converge uniformly in compacts to a viscosity solution of with u = +∞ on . If Q = 1 then solutions go to ∞ in the whole Ω and when Q = ∞ solutions converge to 1 uniformly in compact subsets of Ω, hence the boundary blow-up is lost in the limit.  相似文献
