Studies on the magnetic properties of the molecular antiferromagnetic material {N(n-C5H11)4[MnIIFeIII(ox)3]}∞, carried out by various physical techniques (AC/DC magnetic susceptibility, magnetization, heat capacity measurements and Mössbauer spectroscopy) at low temperatures, have been presented. Different experimental observations complement each other and provide a clue for the observation of an uncompensated magnetization below the Néel temperature and short-range correlations persisting high above TN. It is understood that the honeycomb layered structure of the compound contains non-equivalent magnetic sub-lattices, (MnII–ox–FeIIIA–...) and (MnII–ox–FeIIIB–...), where different responses of the FeIIIA and FeIIIB spin sites towards an external magnetic field might be responsible for the observation of the uncompensated magnetization in this compound at T < TN. The present magnetic system is an S = 5/2 2-D Heisenberg antiferromagnet system with the intralayer exchange parameter J/kB = −3.29 K. A very weak interlayer exchange interaction was anticipated from the spin wave modeling of the magnetic heat capacity for T < 0.5TN. The positive sign of the coupling between the layers has been concluded from the Mössbauer spectrum in the applied magnetic field. Frustration in the magnetic interactions gives rise to the uncompensated magnetic moment in this compound at low temperatures. 相似文献

Enhancement of emission line intensities by induced oscillations of direct current (DC) arc plasma with continuous aerosol sample supply was investigated using multivariate statistics. Principal component analysis (PCA) was employed to evaluate enhancements of 34 atomic spectral lines belonging to 33 elements and 35 ionic spectral lines belonging to 23 elements. Correlation and classification of the elements were done not only by a single property such as the first ionization energy, but also by considering other relevant parameters. Special attention was paid to the influence of the oxide bond strength in an attempt to clarify/predict the enhancement effect. Energies of vaporization, atomization, and excitation were also considered in the analysis. In the case of atomic lines, the best correlation between the enhancements and first ionization energies was obtained as a negative correlation, with weak consistency in grouping of elements in score plots. Conversely, in the case of ionic lines, the best correlation of the enhancements with the sum of the first ionization energies and oxide bond energies was obtained as a positive correlation, with four distinctive groups of elements. Molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for solid extraction and preconcentration of catechins have been successfully prepared by a thermal polymerization method using quercetin as template, 4-vinylpyridine as functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as crosslinker. A solution mixture of acetone and acetonitrile was used as porogen. Systematic investigations of the influence of monomer, cross-linker, porogen, as well as polymerization conditions on the properties of the MIPs were carried out. The quercetin MIPs were evaluated according to their selective recognition properties for quercetin, structurally related compounds (catechin, epigallocatechin gallate and epicatechin) and a unrelated compound of similar molecular size (α-tocopherol). Good binding was observed for quercetin, catechin and epigallocatechin gallate with an optimized MIP in a solid phase extraction system. Adsorption and kinetic characteristics were evaluated for catechins which indicated that the synthesized polymer had high adsorption capacity and contained homogeneous binding sites. Chemical and morphological characterization of the MIP was investigated by FTIR, SEM and BET, which confirmed a high degree of polymerization. Finally, the MIP was successfully applied to the clean-up and preconcentration of catechins from several natural samples. 相似文献

Modeling results are presented concerning the turbulent thermal plasma jet impinging normally on a substrate and with transverse injection of feedstock particles and their carrier gas from a single injection tube. The k- two-equation model is employed to model the turbulence, and particle dispersion is studied considering the interaction between the moving particles and turbulent eddies and considering the effect on particle trajectories of the random variation of the turbulent fluctuating velocities in their magnitude and direction. A well-validated three-dimensional (3-D) computer code is used in the modeling. The 3-D effects due to the carrier gas injection on the jet flow field and thus on the particle trajectories and heating histories are shown to be appreciable. The radial location of the injection tube with respect to the plasma jet is shown to be a critical parameter for the study of 3-D effects, besides the carrier-gas/plasma stream mass flux ratio. Particle dispersion considerably widens the distribution of the particle trajectories and heating histories. In addition, although pertinent swirl number is often rather small, swirling may also affect the modeling results. 相似文献

Nickel phthalocyanine (NiPc, 1) periphery has been decorated by alkyl chains of varying chain length via [1,3,4]-oxadiazole moiety (NiPcs 3a–3f). All the newly synthesized compounds NiPcs 3a–3d have been completely characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, solid-state UV-Vis, and solid-state 13C NMR spectroscopy, in addition to X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and thermal analysis. A novel approach of head-space single-drop micro-extraction applied to the determination of ethanol in wine is presented. For the first time, the syringe of an automated syringe pump was used as an extraction chamber of adaptable size for a volatile analyte. This approach enabled to apply negative pressure during the enrichment step, which favored the evaporation of the analyte. This work aimed to investigate benzophenanthridine from the roots of Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb.) DC. var. fastuosum How ex Huang for the first time. Thirteen benzophenanthridines were isolated, and our results of the cytotoxic activities indicated that compound 6 exhibited the best potency against A549, Hela, SMMC-7721 and EJ, with the IC50 values of 27.50, 37.50, 16.95 and 60.42 μM, respectively. Compounds 7 and 11 also showed strong cytotoxicity when tested against the four human cancer cell lines (A549, Hela, SMMC-7721 and EJ), while only compounds 12 and 13 displayed cytotoxicity in inhibiting BALL-1 proliferation among all the compounds.
