2-(Trimethylsiloxy)butadiene (TMSBD) and 2-(tert-butyldimethylsiloxy)butadiene (TBMSBD) were copolymerized with styrene (St) and methyl methacrylate (MMA) under free-radical conditions. The obtained polymers were found to contain reactive silyl enol ether groups in a ratio identical to the TMSBD or TBMSBD molar fraction in the copolymer. All investigated samples displayed only 1,4- and 3,4-microstructures. The influence of several experimental factors on the yields, rates of polymerization, microstructures, and copolymer compositions were examined. Monomer reactivity ratios r1 and r2 at 60°C were determined from copolymer composition curves at low conversions. The homopolymerization of TBMSBD was also investigated and results were compared with those previously obtained for TMSBD. A slight increase in rates was observed and was rationalized on the basis of the higher viscosity resulting from the structural change in the monomer. Thermal stabilities of the synthesized polymers were investigated by TGA and their glass transition temperatures were determined by DSC. All measurements are compatible with a possible use of TMSBD and TBMSBD copolymers as reactive polymers. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Some new octa-3,5-diynylene diurethanes were prepared using 3-butyn-1-ol, and all were found to be highly light-sensitive and to undergo topochemical polymerization on exposure to irradiation. The di-n-octyldiurethane was mixed with vinyl polymers such as poly(vinyl acetate) and poly(N,N-dimethylamino-ethyl methacrylate) and the mixtures were made into thin films by spin coating. The films were then irradiated by an electron beam to polymerize the diacetylene. Liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) are a relatively new class of materials. These polymers usually consist of rigid rodlike molecular chains and they are capable of forming highly oriented structures even in the as-made product, with strength/modulus significantly higher than those of the conventional flexible chain polymers. Blending of LCPs with conventional polymers produces composite-like structures with LCPs serving as the reinforcing component. The properties of the blends are affected by the size, shape and distribution of the LCPs in the matrix polymer, which in turn are related to the processing conditions such as the blend composition, the extrusion and drawing conditions, the viscosity ratio of the component polymers and the type and grade of the LCPs and the matrix polymers. Improved processability of the blend due to the reduction in viscosity and the improved interfacial adhesion between reinforcing fibers and the matrix polymer are among the advantages of these materials over the conventional short fiber reinforced composites. This paper gives a brief review of the work currently available in the literature on rheology, fabrication, blend morphology and mechanical/thermal properties of the in situ composites from blends of LCPs and conventional polymers. 相似文献

采用自主设计搭建的雾化辅助化学气相沉积系统设备,开展了Ga2O3薄膜制备及其特性研究工作。通过X射线衍射研究了沉积温度、系统沉积压差对Ga2O3薄膜结晶质量的影响。结果表明,Ga2O3在425~650 ℃温度区间存在物相转换关系。随着沉积温度从425 ℃升高至650 ℃,薄膜结晶分别由非晶态、纯α-Ga2O3结晶状态向α-Ga2O3、β-Ga2O3两相混合结晶状态改变。通过原子力显微镜表征探究了生长温度对Ga2O3薄膜表面形貌的影响,从475 ℃升高至650 ℃时,薄膜表面粗糙度由26.8 nm下降至24.8 nm。同时,高分辨X射线衍射仪测试表明475 ℃、5 Pa压差条件下的α-Ga2O3薄膜样品半峰全宽仅为190.8″,为高度结晶态的单晶α-Ga2O3薄膜材料。 相似文献

Egg white protein (EWP) is susceptible to denaturation and coagulation when exposed to high temperatures, adversely affecting its flavour, thereby influencing consumers’ decisions. Here, we employ high-voltage cold plasma (HVCP) as a novel nonthermal technique to investigate its influence on the EWP’s flavour attributes using E-nose, E-tongue, and headspace gas-chromatography-ion-mobilisation spectrometry (HS-GC-IMS) due to their rapidness and high sensitivity in identifying flavour fingerprints in foods. The EWP was investigated at 0, 60, 120, 180, 240, and 300 s of HVCP treatment time. The results revealed that HVCP significantly influences the odour and taste attributes of the EWP across all treatments, with a more significant influence at 60 and 120 s of HVCP treatment. Principal component analyses of the E-nose and E-tongue clearly distinguish the odour and taste sensors’ responses. The HS-GC-IMS analysis identified 65 volatile compounds across the treatments. The volatile compounds’ concentrations increased as the HVCP treatment time was increased from 0 to 300 s. The significant compounds contributing to EWP characterisation include heptanal, ethylbenzene, ethanol, acetic acid, nonanal, heptacosane, 5-octadecanal, decanal, p-xylene, and octanal. SOLPS-ITER L-mode-like simulations with the full set of currents and drift velocities activated, and fluid neutrals have been carried out to interpret experimental results obtained in AUG. Drifts are critical to quantitatively reproduce the experimental results; however, simulations without drifts can also reproduce some trends qualitatively. The magnitude and dependence of the peak heat flux onto both targets on the upstream collisionality are, in general, in quantitative agreement within uncertainties with infrared thermography measurements in favourable field direction. The onset of power detachment is observed. In unfavourable toroidal field direction, a more symmetrical inner/outer target solution with regards to the power distribution is predicted, in agreement with experimental observations. However, also in unfavourable toroidal field direction, insufficient power is dissipated in the simulations and therefore qpeak, inn is overpredicted by up to a factor of 4 and qpeak, out by up to a factor of 1.5. The largest contribution to the sources due to radial transport in the energy balance equation is the radial divergence of the energy flux due to VE × B. 相似文献

From polytitanosiloxanes (PTS), SiO2–TiO2 oxide fibers with fairly good tensile strength were prepared, and their mechanical and thermal properties were investigated. The precursor fibers PTS-0.5 and PTS-1.0 were obtained by dry spinning of a highly viscous PTS solution which were formed as the reaction mixture of silicic acid (SA) with bis(2,4-pentanedionato)titanium diisopropoxide (PTP) in the molar ratios (SA/PTP) of 0.5 and 1.0. The precursor fibers PTS-0.5 were too brittle to measure their tensile strength, whereas PTS-1.0 and the heat-treated fibers were found to have tensile strength of 130 (precursor), 540 (500°C), and 450 (900°C) MPa, respectively. Heat-treatment of the fibers PTS-1.0 at above 1000°C forms anatase and rutile of titanium dioxide. AbstractThermo-responsive polymers have attracted much attention in recent years because they can provide a variety of applications for smart devices, but the lack of sufficient mechanical properties and late response rate of the polymers limit their applications. In the current work, we fabricated polymer nanocomposites made from poly(vinyl methyl ether) and nanofillers with photothermal conversion property such as graphene oxide, antimony tin oxide nanoparticles, and silver nanoplates. The prepared nanocomposites showed rapidly reversible and reliable transparent-opaque transitions during the repeated heating and cooling processes, suggesting that they can be applied to smart window applications. 相似文献
