As a novel application technology, wireless video sensor networks become the current research focus, especially on target tracking and surveillance scenario. Based on multiple agents'technique, this article introduces a series of intelligent algorithms such as simulated annealing algorithm (SA), genetic algorithm (GA), and ant colony optimization algorithm (ACO) or their mixed algorithms, to resolve the optimization of tasks schedule and data transmission. This article analyzes the performance of abovementioned algorithms and verifies their feasibility associated with agents. The simulations demonstrates that the mixed algorithms based on SA and GA obtain the optimal solution to tasks schedule, and those combined with SA-ACO show advantages on multimedia sensor networks routing optimization. 相似文献

Conventionally, P2P video is regarded as CBR traffic. However, our measurements have shown that the rate reset cannot be neglected in a practical IPTV system because each rate reset often leads to performance degradation. Thus, addressing the problem of inferring playback rate and rate reset in a P2P video system is significant. In this article, an algorithm termed piecewise linear envelope approximation (PLEA) is proposed, in which a follow-up time is introduced to smooth rate fluctuations in a small time scale and to adapt rate jumps in a large time scale automatically. With the PLEA algorithm, discontinuity introduced by blind segmentations adopted by current methods is avoided. Furthermore, unlike existing algorithms in which both segmentation and combinations are performed in multiple runs, only a single computation path is involved in the PLEA algorithm. This makes PLEA algorithm amenable to implementation of low complexity by either software or hardware. Both theoretical analysis and experiment based on measured data show that the PLEA outperforms existing algorithms based on segmentation. 相似文献

In the near future, small electronic hand-held devices will be equipped with digital cameras capable of acquiring high resolution
images (HDTV) at real-time rates, resulting in video streams of dozens of megabytes per second. The real-time video decoding
and especially encoding of such streams with AVC/ H.264 or SVC standards require a huge amount of computing power that, in
the case of a hand-held device, has to be delivered under the constraint of low power dissipation. In this paper we present
a Multi-Processor System-on-Chip dedicated for high performance, low-power video coding applications using Network-on-Chip
(NoC) as communication infrastructure. Extensive experiments have established the power dissipation models of individual NoC
components, i.e. network interfaces, routers and wires. Based on these models and the NoC topology, we build the power model
of the complete NoC. For three different implementation scenarios of the AVC/H.264 simple profile encoder we derive the power
dissipation of the NoC for image resolutions up to HDTV at rate of 30 frames per second. The results obtained show that for
the same application mapping scenario (worst case), moving from CIF to HDTV resolution will result in a 35% increase of the
total power dissipation. Finally, for HDTV resolution, the difference in power dissipation between the worst (21 mW) and the
best case application mapping scenario is 26%.
