Condition monitoring and life prediction of the vehicle engine is an important and urgent problem during the vehicle development process. The vibration signals that are closely associated with the engine running condition and its development trend are complex and nonlinear. The chaos theory is used to treat the nonlinear dynamical system recently. A novel chaos method in conjunction with SVD (singular value decomposition)denoising skill are used to predict the vibration time series. Probabilistic characteristics of a sliding structure is investigated by using new versions of stochastic linearization technique. The structure is composed of base part and upper part, which are connected to each other in a spring-damping system. Coulomb friction between the base structure and earth ground is considered. Two alternative versions of stochastic linearization approach, suggested by X. Zhang and I. Elishakoff, respectively, are applied to such a sliding structure to evaluate its statistical properties. Compared with the results of Monte Carlo simulation, the two new approaches are performing much better than the conventional one in their applications to the sliding structure. Moreover, numerical results indicate that the criterion proposed by Elishakoff turns out to be superior to all other versions in the problem under study. Numerical results also suggest that the entire structure may be replaced by the rigid body in the sliding problem as long as the difference of velocity responses are considered less important than those of displacement responses. 相似文献

Atomic layer epitaxy or ALE has proven to be useful for the growth of epitaxial layers of high uniformity, good quality, and
well-controlled thickness. In this study, we have carried out in-situ monitoring during the atmospheric pressure ALE of CdTe on GaAs (100) substrates using spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE). The
susceptor temperature, reactant partial pressures, as well as the flow and flush duration for each precursor are crucial process
variables for ALE growth. Growth was carried out for 20–25 cycles under different sets of these process conditions during
the experiment and in-situ SE was used to verify the presence of layer-by-layer growth, which enabled the quick determination of the process window.
We observed ALE growth of CdTe at 300°C, supporting the explanation that the growth of CdTe occurs via a surface catalyzed
decomposition of the Te precursor di-isopropyltelluride (DIPTe). Investigation of ALE mode growth behavior for different susceptor
temperatures and DIPTe flush times indicated that the growth was limited by competition between desorption and reaction of
the adsorbed DIPTe species on the Cd terminated surface. 相似文献

An in‐line monitoring device using a quartz crystal resonator for thin film polymerization was proposed, and its performance has been evaluated by implementing in the UV polymerization of 2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate with a photoinitiator of 1‐chloroanthraquinone. Because the variation of resonant resistance of the resonator is proportional to the square root of viscosity change that is closely related to the polymerization degree, the resistance can be used as a measure of the polymerization degree. The resistance measurements were compared with the outcome of instrumental analyses of polymerization degree using an FTIR spectrometer and a gel permeation chromatograph. The experimental results showed that the resistance measurements were consistent with the experimental outcome of the instrumental analyses, and this indicates the effectiveness of the proposed device. Owing to the simplicity and availability of the resonator system, its wide utilization in the monitoring of a variety of film polymerization processes, including photoresistor application, is expected. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
