Performance investigation of an advanced tracked prime mover on the low bearing soil

This study has presented a performance investigation of an advanced tracked prime mover for the operation of agricultural goods and other operations on peat terrain. The maximum and continuous traction torque of the prime mover has been developed by designing an advanced controller for controlling the intelligent system. The prime mover’s mobility is studied with ultrasonic displacement sensor, torque transducer, National Instrument cRIO-9004 Compact-RIO Real-time Controller Unit (RCU), a National Instrument TPC 2106T Touch Panel Control (TPC), a Trimble AG132 GPS antenna and receiver unit, and a Dlink DIR-655 router. The fuzzy logic controller (FLC) has been equipped with the prime mover hydraulic system to increase the traction torque of the hydraulic motor when the prime mover’s sinkage is more than or equal to 70 mm. The prime mover’s design demonstrates good potential in traversing peat terrain as the measured tractive effort was found to be 48% of the vehicle’s gross weight while the recommended tractive effort is in the range of 30–36% of the vehicle’s gross weight.     

CdSe quantum dot-dispersed DOBAMBC: an electro-optical study

Cadmium selenide quantum dot (CdSe QD) has been used as a dopant in ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) 2-methylbutyl 4-(4-decyloxybenzylideneamino) cinnamate (DOBAMBC). Effect of CdSe QD in DOBAMBC on its different electro-optical (E-O) properties has been studied in the SmC* phase. The optical micrographs recorded for the pure and composite material are showing good dispersion of QDs in the FLC matrix. Micrographs of unaligned sample cell revealed that CdSe QDs induce homeotropic alignment of FLC molecules. An appreciable change in the value of E-O parameters like tilt angle, spontaneous polarisation and response time with shifting of SmA–SmC* phase transition temperature has been observed for CdSe QD–DOBAMBC composite. The observed properties of composite system have been discussed on the basis of surface properties of QDs in FLC system.     

Topological conjugacy of constant length substitution dynamical systems

Primitive constant length substitutions generate minimal symbolic dynamical systems. In this article we present an algorithm which can produce the list of injective substitutions of the same length that generate topologically conjugate systems. We show that each conjugacy class contains infinitely many substitutions which are not injective. As examples, the Toeplitz conjugacy class contains three injective substitutions (two on two symbols and one on three symbols), and the length two Thue–Morse conjugacy class contains twelve substitutions, among which are two on six symbols. Together, they constitute a list of all primitive substitutions of length two with infinite minimal systems which are factors of the Thue–Morse system.     

浮游植物分布对强台风尼格的响应

研究调查了Ekman流对浮游植物生态动力过程的驱动机制。采用新的光学遥感算法提取浮游植物光学有效信息。该算法结合了近红外波段的浮游植物荧光信号以及可见光部分的弹性散射的辐射传输模型,通过两次迭代优化算法,提取浮游植物光学信号。采用辐射传输软件Hydrolight对海水水下光场进行了数值模拟,并结合新算法对模拟数据进行了对比分析。结果表明,新算法较好地表征了浮游植物叶绿素光学参数。利用MERIS光学遥感数据并结合了动力学参数,利用该算法分析了强台风尼格对我国海域浮游植物分布的影响。研究结果表明,Ekman流是我国海域浮游植物分布异常的原因之一。     

A weighted full-reference image quality assessment based on visual saliency

In full reference image quality assessment (IQA), the images without distortion are usually employed as reference, while the structures in both reference images and distorted images are ignored and all pixels are equally treated. In addition, the role of human visual system (HVS) is not taken account into subjective IQA metric. In this paper, a weighted full-reference image quality metric is proposed, where a weight imposed on each pixel indicates its importance in IQA. Furthermore, the weights can be estimated via visual saliency computation, which can approximate the subjective IQA via exploiting the HVS. In the experiments, the proposed metric is compared with several objective IQA metrics on LIVE release 2 and TID 2008 database. The results demonstrate that SROCC and PLCC of the proposed metric are 0.9647 and 0.9721, respectively,which are higher than other methods and it only takes 427.5 s, which is lower than that of most other methods.     

WATER MOVEMENT CAUSED BY SPREADING SURFACTANTS IN UNSATURATED SYSTEMS OF PARTICLES OF NONUNIFORM SIZE

The movement of water originated by the spreading of two surfactants was analyzed in glass beads as well as on soil systems, both of particles of nonuniform size

The higher difference of surface tension produced in the system by 1 -hexadecanol compared to that of 1-tetradecanol led therefore to a higher amount of water moved. Decreased proportion of the smaller sized particles in glass beads system produced a decrease in the total water moved by both surfactants.

Organic matter acted in soil as a second surfactant in glass beads. This effect was compared in glass beads systems once 1-hexadecanol was evenly distributed among the particles as continuous film, which played a role alike that of organic matter in soil and then a second surfactant 1-tetradecanol was added. These additional surfactant effect diminished the difference between initial and final surface tension (surface tension depression) of the system and so the total water moved.

The soil organic matter (1.7%) modified the water movement curve in the presence of low (0.2g) content of 1-hexadecanol, whereas for high content of either alcohol (0.4g) or low content of 1-tetradecanol content (0.2g) the water movement curves were the same     

Radical Copolymerization of Vinylidene Chloride with 3(2-Methyl)-6-methylpyridazinone in Several Solvents

The radical copolymerization of vinylidene chloride (Vc, M₁) with 3(2-methyl)-6-methylpyridazinone (I, M₂) was carried out in benzene, ethanol, phenol, and acetic acid at 60 and 80°C. The monomer reactivity ratios were found to vary with the reaction conditions. The linear correlationships were obtained by plotting the values of log r₁ against those of ^V C[dbnd]O and ^V C[dbnd]C of monomers determined in the solvents.     

Fluid inertia effects in ferrofluid squeeze film between a sphere and a plate

On the ground of the ferrohydrodynamic model proposed by Shliomis  and , the present study investigates the influences of fluid inertia forces on the ferrofluid squeeze film between a sphere and a plate in the presence of external magnetic fields. According to the results, the effects of fluid inertia forces enhance the load capacity and prolong the approaching time for the ferrofluid sphere–plate system. Further numerical results for the load capacity are also provided in a table for engineering applications.     

基于信捷PLC对细石混凝土泵电气系统的设计

为了推进细石混凝土泵的国产化,在保证产品性能的前提下,降低其电气系统的生产成本,采用以国产信捷PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)为主的控制元件对细石混凝土泵电气系统进行了设计。在保证细石混凝土泵使用稳定性的同时,降低了其电气系统的制造成本,提高了适用性。所设计电气系统经菏泽永安机械制造有限公司检验使用,实际应用情况良好。
