3-Oxo-1,3-oxathiane (1) and its monomethyl derivatives were prepared by oxidation of the corresponding 1,3-oxathianes. The structural analysis was carried out by1H and13C NMR, FTIR, and mass spectrometry. At 298 K compound1 was a 1 1 (at 173 K a 3 1) mixture of the SO(ax) and SO(eq) chair forms. The major oxidation products of methyl 1,3-oxathianes attained exclusively the SO(ax), Me(eq) chair forms except that of the 5-methyl derivative, which consisted of 7% of the SO(eq), Me(ax) chair conformation in CDCl3 solution. The minor products of oxidation existed in anancomeric SO(eq), Me(eq) chair conformations. The oxidation of 2-methyl- 1,3-oxathiane, however, led to 3,3-dioxo derivative (6) in addition to thetrans [SO(eq)] monoxide. The crystal structures of6 andtrans-3-oxo-5-methyl-1,3-oxathiane were solved by X-ray diffractometry.  相似文献

In the teaching of analytical chemistry for chemical engineering students it is essential today to teach the chemical analysis of dynamic systems, not only in the process control of the modern technological systems, where the control of composition or structure of different material streams is necessary, but also in all other instances where analysis, decision and intervention follow each other, forming a closed cycle. Teaching can be made effective if students already have a knowledge of the basic disciplines (including analytical chemistry). The schedule of the teaching programme should include the mathematical statistical treatment of process signals, quality of the signals, signal-improvement methods, characteristics of instruments, calibration and an introduction to sensors, analysers suitable for continuous or periodical measurements and local area networks. As practical exercizes an apparatus for investigation of the dynamic properties of a thermoanalytical detector system, a computer program for simulating process variables and the control loop including the measuring system are presented.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of Si--C linked organic monolayers is studied in electrolyte-insulator-Si devices, under conditions normally encountered in potentiometric biosensors, to gain fundamental knowledge on the behavior of such Si electrodes under practical conditions. This is done via titration experiments, Mott-Schottky data analysis, and data fitting using a site-binding model. The results are compared with those of native SiO(2) layers and native SiO(2) layers modified with hexamethyldisilazane. All samples display pH sensitivity. The number of Si--OH groups on the alkylated samples is calculated to be less than 0.7 % of that of a pure SiO(2) insulator, which still causes a pH sensitivity of approximately 25 mV per pH unit in the pH range: 4-7. The alkylated samples hardly suffer from response changes during up- and down-going titrations, which indicates that very little oxide is additionally formed during the measurements. The pK(a) values of all samples with monolayers (4.0-4.4) are lower than that of native SiO(2) (6.0). The long-term drift (of approximately 1 mV h(-1)) is moderate. The results indicate that biosensors composed of alkylated Si substrates are feasible if a cross-sensitivity towards pH in the sensor signal is taken into account.  相似文献

The determination of nanometer thick layers of poly(methyl methacrylate) coated on to the surface of poly(ethylene terephthalate) film has been investigated by high resolution pyrolysis gas chromatography without sample pretreatment or modification of the instrumentation used. A good linear relationship was observed between the quantity of the characteristic pyrolysate and the thickness of the poly(methyl methacrylate) layer; the detection limit was sufficient to enable the quantitation of poly(methyl methacrylate)-to-poly(ethylene terephthalate) film thickness ratios of 1:20000 in composite materials.  相似文献

A number of sequential injection analysis (SIA) measurement methods have been developed during the last years. Almost all have been used in laboratory conditions with good results, but very few have been implemented as on-line methods, applied to non-stop measurements, producing immediate results for process control. The transfer of an SIA system from laboratory to an industrial facility [J. Ruzicka, Anal. Chim. Acta 261 (1992) 3] requires a whole new range of details to be taken into account. Some SIA platform related topics will be discussed. There are numerous ways of building an SIA system that meets the needs of the industry. One alternative, SIAmate, is presented.  相似文献

The influence of the salt concentration (potassium chloride) on the retention and overloading behavior of the propranolol cation (R'-NH2+ -R) on an XTerra-C18 column, in a methanol:water solution, was investigated. The adsorption isotherm data were first determined by frontal analysis (FA) for a mobile phase without salt (25% methanol, v/v). It was shown that the adsorption energy distribution calculated from these raw adsorption data is bimodal and that the isotherm model that best accounts for these data is the bi-Moreau model. Assuming that the addition of a salt into the mobile phase changes the numerical values of the parameters of the isotherm model, not its mathematical form, we used the inverse method (IM) of chromatography to determine the isotherm with seven salt concentrations in the mobile phase (40% methanol, v/v; 0, 0.002, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2 M). The saturation capacities of the model increase, q(s,1) by a factor two and q(s,2) by a factor four, with increasing salt concentration in the range studied while the adsorption constant b1 increases four times and b2 decreases four times. Adsorbate-adsorbate interactions vanish in the presence of salt, consistent with results obtained previously on a C18-Kromasil column. Finally, besides the ionic strength of the solution, the size, valence, and nature of the salt ions affect the thermodynamic as well as the mass transfer kinetics of the adsorption mechanism of propranolol on the XTerra column.  相似文献

Water quality data set from the alluvial region in the Gangetic plain in northern India, which is known for high fluoride levels in soil and groundwater, has been analysed by chemometric techniques, such as principal component analysis (PCA), discriminant analysis (DA) and partial least squares (PLS) in order to investigate the compositional differences between surface and groundwater samples, spatial variations in groundwater composition and influence of natural and anthropogenic factors. Trilinear plots of major ions showed that the groundwater in this region is mainly of Na/K-bicarbonate type. PCA performed on complete data matrix yielded six significant PCs explaining 65% of the data variance. Although, PCA rendered considerable data reduction, it could not clearly group and distinguish the sample types (dug well, hand-pump and surface water). However, a visible differentiation between the water samples pertaining to two watersheds (Khar and Loni) was obtained. DA identified six discriminating variables between surface and groundwater and also between different types of samples (dug well, hand pump and surface water). Distinct grouping of the surface and groundwater samples was achieved using the PLS technique. It further showed that the groundwater samples are dominated by variables having origin both in natural and anthropogenic sources in the region, whereas, variables of industrial origin dominate the surface water samples. It also suggested that the groundwater sources are contaminated with various industrial contaminants in the region.  相似文献
