The mean probability of photon capture Ψ, obtained via an approximation to the complementary escape factor Λ, for calcium and zinc resonance lines at 4226.73 and 2138.56 Å have been determined from their atomic absorption measurements. Calculations are performed for Gaussian, Lorentzian, and Voigt spectral line shapes. The validity of the urinary protein profile to characterize the pathological states of diabetic, nephropathic and diabetic–nephropathic patients was considered on the basis of previously obtained results by MALDI/MS, showing a different abundance ratio of the collagen α1 and α5 chain precursor fragments at m/z 1219 and 2049 and of the uromodulin precursor fragment at m/z 1912 observed in healthy subjects and patients; a larger number of subjects was examined and the obtained results were statistically evaluated. The p values related to the observed differences indicate that they are statistically significant when comparing all patients versus healthy controls, diabetic with normo or microalbuminuria versus nephropathic with advanced renal disease patients and diabetic with normo or microalbuminuria versus diabetic with advanced nephropathy patients. The scatter plot matrix gives evidence of the strict inverse relationship between the abundances of ions at m/z 1912 and 1219, the correlation coefficient being particularly high (r = 0.921, p < 0.001). The relationship between the true positive rate (sensitivity) and false positive rate (1—specificity) for every possible cutoff value in abundance of the considered ionic species was investigated through the receiver‐operating characteristic (ROC) curve. The obtained data indicate that a good differentiation of nephropathic patients with advanced renal disease and diabetic patients with advanced nephropathy versus healthy subjects can be easily obtained by this approach. In this article, the effects of irreversible detachments of particles in totally asymmetric simple exclusion processes (TASEPs) with extended particles which occupy more than one lattice site, are investigated. First, an approximate mean-field theory is used to calculate phase diagrams and density profiles. The results show that the detachment and the size of the particles have distinct effects on the stationary phases in the two sublattices divided by the detachment, especially in the mc/hd and the hd/hd phase. Here, symbols “mc”, “hd”, and “ld” are initials of maximal current, high density, and low density, respectively, and “mc/hd” represents the stationary state that the left sublattice is in the maximum-current (mc) phase while the right sublattice is in the high density (hd) phase. When the detachment rate is very large, there are four stationary phases, including ld/ld, ld/hd, mc/ld, and mc/hd phases. When the value of the detachment rate is in the middle range, the hd/hd phase occurs, and hence there exist five stationary phases. When the rate is very small, the mc/hd phase disappears, and there are only four phases again. These theoretical results qualitatively and quantitatively agree with computer Monte Carlo simulations especially in the case of large value of the detachment rate. 相似文献

The chirped Mo/Si multilayer mirror in the extreme ultraviolet region is designed to obtain sub-femtosecond pulses from high-order harmonics. Numerical simulations of temporal profile of the pulses are made for superposition of incident high-order harmonics and that of reflected ones by the chirped multilayer mirror.The normal incidence reflectivity and chirp in the wavelength range of 12.5 - 16.5 nm are 6.7% ±0.5%and-3617±171 as2, respectively. Simulation results indicate that the designed chirped multilayer mirror can be used for producing 104-as pulses. 相似文献

At the Prague Asterix Laser System Center (PALS) the Asterix iodine laser delivering up to 700 J/0.5 ns is used as a pump
source for X-ray laser experiments and applications. The prepulse technique was applied which is known to improve the neon-like
X-ray laser output at the J = 0-1 transition dramatically. Since Zn slab targets were used the operating wavelength was 21.2 nm. A prepulse having up
to 20 J precedes the main pulse by 10 ns. The main beam and the prepulse beam are focussed by two different optical systems
separately and their foci are superimposed at the target surface. By implementing a half-cavity set-up for double-pass amplification
using a Mo/Si multilayer mirror - which can be used for more than 100 shots - the X-ray laser output was more than 10 times
stronger than at the single pass in a 30 mm long plasma. Double-pass amplification was observed to be most efficient when
the pump pulse duration was at least 150 ps longer than the round trip time ( ≈ 260 ps) in the half-cavity. Under this fundamental
condition the X-ray laser reached saturation in the double-pass regime containing approx. 4 mJ energy which has been proved
to be enough for future applications. In this contribution, the X-ray laser features like divergence in two dimensions, the
beam quality (symmetry), the pointing angle and the integrated intensity giving an estimation of the output energy are investigated
over 110 shots. To characterize the stability of the X-ray laser the shot distribution, the mean value and the standard deviation
for these parameters are evaluated. For 18 shots in a series - what was achievable during one day - the corresponding values
are given, and a statistical analysis carrying out a chi-squared test characterize the Zn X-ray laser as a robust tool suitable
for applications. In the future it is planned to allocate X-ray laser beam time to external research groups.

Using the methods of numerical simulation, we have investigated the dependence of the intensity and parameters of the spectral
line profiles in the radiation of semitransparent plasma on its optical thickness, the degree of inhomogeneity, and the parameter
distribution. As a model, we used the equilibrium plasma of argon with a given temperature profile on the observation line.
The calculation has been performed for the spectral lines of the argon atom characterized by different broadening constants.
On the basis of the results obtained it has been shown that it is possible to diagnose the plasma and determine the degree
of its inhomogeneity and reabsorption by the parameters of the self-reversed profiles of the spectral lines. To diagnose the
plasma in the absence of self-reversal, we propose to use the line intensities in the emission spectra of the plasma, including
those obtained by probing it by its self-radiation.
