A method has been developed for the preparation of modified silica plates for high performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC). Some typical organosilanes were thus allowed to react in situ with the silica of Merck HPTLC-plates. This method was found to be highly reproducible, simple and cheap. Non-polar plates were prepared and compared with commercial plates from Merck, Whatman and Macherey-Nagel. Modification with cyanodecyltrichlorosilane resulted in plates that showed good coverage, efficiency and low residual silica activity. Silica modified with a multifunctional silane has different properties in different organic solvents. It will appear to be non-polar in a polar solvent and vice versa. New advantageous separation systems are thus made feasible by the presence of cyano groups on the plate. The utility of modified thin-layer plates is demonstrated by the separation of some homologues of p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters and of some polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. 相似文献

Fused silica capillaries deactivated with D4 and coated with OV-1 were subjected to cobalt-60 gamma radiation in order to elucidate the effect of incident radiation on column performance. The chromatographic performance of these open tubular columns in which OV-1 was polymerized in situ was found to be dependent on the dosage of radiation and was evaluated before and after the irradiated columns were rinsed with solvent. Of the radiation dosages employed, 3 MRad produced superior chromatographic performance coupled with very favorable residual surface activity. 相似文献

Nitrogen desorption scanning hysteresis loops (DSHLs) for large-pore MCM-41 silicas (pore diameter from 4.0 to 6.5 nm) are reported for the first time. DSHLs for MCM-41 were compared with those of conventional mesoporous silicas and no appreciable differences were found, although hysteresis loops and DSHLs for the latter were usually broader. Since desorption behavior of conventional porous silicas is appreciably influenced by pore connectivity, the observed similarity in hysteresis behavior suggests single-pore blocking effects for MCM-41 due to variation of pore diameter along its nonintersecting channels. It was also shown that the steepness of nitrogen desorption branches at relative pressures close to 0.4 often results from proximity of the lower pressure limit of adsorption-desorption irreversibility and consequently it is not justified to consider it as an indication of narrow pore size distribution. Thus, application of desorption data in calculations of pore size distributions may be grossly misleading. 相似文献

A simple and selective method for rapid and efficient concentration and determination of μg l−1 levels of Au(III) ions in aqueous solution using octadecyl silica membrane disks modified by pentathia-15-crown-5 and flame atomic absorption spectrometry is presented. The influence of flow rates of eluent and sample solution, amount of ligand, types and least amount of eluent for elution of Au from disks were investigated. Break through volume and limit of detection of the membrane disks modified by 5 mg of the thiacrown ether was found to be 2.0 l and 1.0 μg l−1, respectively. The effects of various cationic interferences on percent recovery of gold were studied. The method was successfully applied for the determinations of gold in some pharmaceutical samples and for the recovery of trace Au3+ ions from synthetic and water samples. 相似文献

研究了6种水煤浆分散剂在14种不同变质程度煤上的吸附作用特征。结果表明,多数分散剂在煤粒表面达到单层饱和吸附后,又形成多层吸附,单层饱和吸附量与煤的变质程度、比表面积以及分散剂的性质有关。在相同粒度分布下,煤的变质程度越低,表面含氧亲水官能团的比例越高,孔隙率越高,比表面积越大,这对增大吸附量有利。煤的变质程度越高,其表面疏水区面积的比例越高,分散剂通过疏水基团紧密吸附在煤表面的比例越大,这对增加高阶煤的吸附量有利。对不同煤,是变质程度还是比表面积为吸附分散剂的主控因素,主要依赖于分散剂的结构与性质。对同种煤,疏水与亲水基团呈线型分立分布的分散剂,吸附量明显高;而疏水与亲水基团呈线型间隔分布的分散剂,吸附量明显小。 相似文献

Fluorinated silica gels at various fluorine content were prepared via sol-gel by hydrolysis of 3,3,3-trifluoropropyltrimethoxysilane
and tetraethoxysilane mixtures. The gels, of nominal stoichiometry Si(CH2CH2CF3)XO(2-X/2)(X=0.1-1), were characterized by FT-IR, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and N2 adsorption analysis. The thermal stability of the fluorinated samples was investigated by coupling thermogravimetric measurements
with mass spectrometric and gas chromatographic analyses of the evolved gaseous species. The chemical reactions occurring
in the gel matrices during heating were siloxane chain rearrangements involving condensation between residual hydroxyl and
ethoxyl groups in the 100-350°C temperature range, whereas the thermal decomposition of the fluoroalkyl groups were observed
at higher temperatures (450-600°C). The release of the fluoroalkyl moieties also involved C-F/Si-O bond exchanges inside the
siloxane chains, with gas-phase evolution of different fluorinated silicon units.
